Good morning from sunny and cold NJ!

Today we are going to stretch our hands and fingers. First place palms together like you are praying, press your fingers so your elbows stretch up slightly. You should feel the stretch into your shoulders. Release. Now take each finger of your left hand and very gently stretch it back with your right hand. Now do the same with your opposite hand. Bend your fingers into a loose fist. Stretch them out straight. Shake them all out.

I am feeling pretty blah today. I have been having headaches on and off the past few days. Nothing terrible but annoying. Yesterday was also blah. I paid bills, always extremely exciting. /s I went outside to plant some of the seeds I got but it is sort of too late to put out seeds. I will have to wait and see what comes up and if I recognize them as seedlings and not weeds. LOL
I spoke to my BFF for a little bit, so nice to hear her voice. I miss our coffee dates. Leah was dropping a painting off at her friend's house who lives in town so she stopped by to say hi. I miss her a lot but it was nice to see her in person even if we were far away. Gary suggested that we send the last couple of pieces of the crumb cake home she and her mom could have some too. That was such a perfect idea.

Then Caitlyn only had a few small stress-induced meltdowns over the grad photos. She was so unhappy with how she looked, and then the zipper on the gown came broken. She is pissed-- $80 for a cap and gown and the zipper was broken. Thank goodness that she wasn't on her way to the actual ceremony. I took a bunch of photos of her out back and a few with Scott who was only doing it for me and Gary. A few of them came out amazing and I want to scrap them. If I can only get some mojo to work with.

I have no idea what I am doing today.

Good news on the baby bird-- Mama has been and out of the nest nonstop and the baby seems to be doing well. We are sad about the other three, but it is what it is...

Haha, Scott is awake already and I asked him what he was doing today. He snorted a bit. As if! One of the things my BFF and I were saying is that now that the kids are done with school, *what* are they going to be able to do to stay busy? Not like they have/can get jobs. :(

Trudy- I am happy that you are able to enjoy the drizzly day. IKWYM about the difference between warm and rainy and cold. I checked on my big azalea and the part that gets the most sunlight seems to be blooming, the section in the back-not so much. I have a smaller azalea that is only a few years old isn't doing well at all. Things are getting a bit greener so that is good.
That is really crazy at how slow your mail is. Can't wait to see the cards!
Kilz primer is really good stuff which will make the sanding easier. You are so busy and I am jealously happy for you :p I think you are 100% correct-- we are not over this by a long shot. I am even somewhat suspicious of the lack of cases in my town. My entire county has not recorded any in the last three days while all of the surrounding counties still are. There must be a backlog. If you find our mojo-- can you please ask mine to come back home? I don't blame it for wanted to stay in Canada, though.

Jean-- happy, happy belated birthday!!!!!! Birds and junk food-- sounds like a terrific day!! How was the movie? Did your DH wash the dishes? If he didn't, I am going to need that rolling pin smilie!
Thank you for the hugs and flowers for the kids! I didn't tear up, which was a bit surprising. *shrug* Maybe tomorrow which would be the actual ceremony? It is almost an empty feeling mixed with a tiny bit of anger. Does that make sense?

Kay- I wonder if the dreams of your hubby were triggered by the work you had been doing on printing the photos and the staircase was to heaven? We have been keeping our heat on- only 66* day and 62* night which is the normal setting but still. It is mid-May!
Stay warm and fingers are crossed for restful sleep tonight.

Nancy- That is a relief that your sister's company is doing the right thing. She must be very excited about having her eye surgery done. Will that be soon? We have a few foxes in the woods behind our house and bunnies too. Thankfully I don't often see them together.
Did I ever share the story of the time my kids were little and a snake was eating a frog from our garden pond? It was awful, there were only the back legs sticking out and they are both screaming at me to DO SOMETHING!!! What was I going to do, pull a have swallowed frog from about of a snake and would they really want to see that? My neighbor was pulling into his driveway so I ran over and asked him if he could "rescue" the frog. What an event!

Felis- that is a perfect b-day card for our Jean!
Good luck to your dad in trying to get the record players to work. But like you said, even if not successful, it might be fun to make the attempts. Even cooler is talk about the fall of communism and how ABBA could be a bad influence. *grin* It is fascinating since it is history but not that far back.
I will post some of the photos soon!

hugs!

Chris congrats and congrats of course to the graduates. It is such a great accomplishment. Love the photos! And enjoy the sun and tomorrow 80s. Love the story of frog and snake!

I woke at 5:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep so we took Luther out early. It is gorgeous. There was not much wind and plenty of sun. Got more scrapping done and thanks for all the comments. I have started season 2 of Dead to Me. Each is a 30 min episode so it goes fast. Found out that the last season of 13 Reasons Why will start on June 5. It is hard subjects but they do it so well and I want to see how they end it.

Chris again hope you have a fun day! I think maybe Cait and Scott will enjoy just realizing what they have accomplished before they set out on finding that job.

Trudy seems like your kitchen redo will get a real push when your MG helps this long weekend. Hope you get some good weather and can enjoy your view of the lake.

Kay glad that your slept warmer! I am hoping that the weather stabilizes and we can have normal weather patterns.

Jean hope the foreign film with subtitles was a hit. Junk food is the best with movie! Hope it was a great birthday!

Felis glad you had such a happy day. I still have a record player and a few vinyl records. I just cant let them go. Hope your dad can get it figured out.

Good Morning everyone! The sun is really trying to come out this morning, but lots of clouds and it is cooler. Hope that the sun prevails! Tomorrow is supposed to be sunshine all day, but then the weekend is full of rain again. Oh well perhaps it will keep the long weekend travellers over on the the mainland. So today will be more of the same, painting of the cupboards and some face time with the kids. Here are the photos that I promised, still a long way to go with the cupboards, but hey there is no hurry. It's not like we are entertaining friends/family or anything. Then the card is much bigger than I usually do so now I have to find an envelope to put it in LOL.

Ok on with personals...
Chris - The photos of the kids are spectacular and Congrats to them!! Bitter sweet time for them both! You must be so proud of them! Glad to hear the the baby bird is surviving. Nice that you are having some sunshine today even if the temps are not the warmest. It is sad that you are having headaches, I was suffering with them for days too and wonder if it was stress or just allergies?? How nice to have a little visit with Leah! You are so kind to give her the last of your crumb cake too! I hope that you have a nice day with your great family!

Kay - So nice that you had a much better sleep last night! But wow those were some crazy dreams you had!! Must be that you have been working on so many pages with your sweet hubby in them and all the different places you have been too, it must have just stayed in your mind all night long? I hope that the dreams are over with now and you can enjoy a lovely night of rest. Glad that you were much warmer too! Yes, I am doing a lot with the kitchen cupboards, but still a long way to go! I am sure that once we are all done it will be so nice, but I know I will be very glad that is finished too LOL.

Jean - I hope you enjoyed your birthday! I really hope that your DH helped you by doing the dishes too! I am lucky that my DH does the dishes every evening while I make his lunch for work  Oh I love that movie "A league of the their own"!! its one of my all time favs!! Enjoy!!

Felis - What a lovely card for our Jean!! So appropriate! I am so happy that you had a lovely day of sunshine and fun time with your family! I hope you can get the record player to work! We gave all of our old LP's to our son for his birthday a couple years back. He was over the moon happy to have them! He has always loved the sound of the vinyl records and owns a great little player to listen to them with. I will keep my fingers crossed that your Father will figure out how to use the parts so that at least one of them works for you!

Ok I am off to the Hardware Store to get some more TSP to clean the next section of cupboards. Have a wonderful afternoon everyone!

Yesterday was grand. The sun was wonderful and out of the wind it wasn't too cold. We saw a lot of birds though not the diversity normal for the date, still many migrants to come. Got my junk food and Diet Coke so dessert was Hostess cupcakes. :choclove We had nice phone calls from both DH's sister and brother; dinner was good. I enjoyed the movie, DH probably not so much as it really is more woman-centered. He didn't offer on washing up, but there wasn't much. I do have a few photos that I can hopefully scrap. Today has been gray and now raining, but it has warmed up.

Chris, I love the photos of the grads! But you can tell Scott was enduring it. To occupy them now, I still think Scott should devise a plan like an inventory of your woods (plants and animals) and Cait should write fantasy stories. I'm serious, but they probably would think I'm nuts.

Nancy, that was early rising but nice for the walk with Luther. It's so nice to see you with new scrapping material. Bet you'll be seeing/hearing more birds on the walks with it warming up. That White-crowned Sparrow in our yard is still here after more than a week.

Trudy, that card is so stunning! Wonderful shapes and super looking. He'll be delighted! Sorry the mail is so slow. I would have thought the kitchen cabinets looked good, but the new look is really nice and cheery. The work will be well worthwhile. Hope you get some nice weather, but not enough to encourage off-islanders to visit.

Felis, thank you so much for the super card! It is perfect. Finding those record players must have been fun, and even an Elvis record. Good luck to your dad to get one working. I know you would enjoy it. We still have a record player and all our old vinyls, but haven't played one in a very long time.

Kay, hope you slept well and maybe without the strange dreams. Hope you get some nice but not too hot weather.

Grateful for
a lovely birthday
finger stretches (that was interesting)

Good morning, lovelies!
I didn't do much of anything, yesterday. It's so hot, so I'm mostly back to sunbathing regime. And pretty same plan for Friday, then will try to get back in roll.

Chris, fingers stretch is very helpful as I spend way too much time on browsing, thank you girl! I wouldn't worry for the kids, you lives near to forest, so I saw lots of picnics for Scott and Leah. And Caitlyn is young, english speaking beauty with bunch of free time, best moment to become influencer and start make her Youtube vlog and Spotify podcasts. The girl I follow use https://anchor.fm/ for her podcast, but I can't give first touch feedback. However this is most wanted profession right now, and in US some girls earn pretty well just by talking for what their hobbies. The graduation photos are so cool! Congrats to the graduates!
LOL L O L yes could you believe in something so screwed and crazy, so the system to count ABBA and Beatles for distributors of bad and dangerous ideas?! :pound:

Nancy, 13 Reasons Why is still not be realized here, and because of the nuances and the differences on the 1st season with the book, I'm not tried yet to find it on english. Definitely it's something I'll do! In the book this girl disappointed and angry me LOT, by letting to be raped just to punish herself. But you was told me that they are change this part, so now I want to see this better version.

Trudy, I just adore these steampunk cards, especially this fish! But all details are so cool and interesting! Boys will gonna love them! Also the cupboards looks awesome, but honestly both pics looks nice to me, so I'm not sure why you changed them.

Jean, I'm glad you liked the card, I stole it from pinterest, but especially for you! I'm so happy that you enjoyed to your non pressure celebration! And it's sounds as a perfect birthday to me! I want to see these photos! Did the cat send you wishes when your BIL called, or was hiding?!
Oh, yes one of my favorite bands released charity vinyl record for Christmas, and from then I'm really curious to make this thing work again. Will see! As I can't bought something (even for charity) if I'll not have how to use it.
