Melting, I'm melting!:wickedwitch

(Melting, Meltdown-- whatever...)

I am going to make this brief, as I am tired and cranky. My insomnia is so bad again and between that and the pain I am in- it is not a pretty picture.

I called my mom yesterday to ask if she wanted to come up and take me out to lunch. I need my mommy to spoil me a bit.

My day so far, has been to bring coffee up to Cait whom I found in the bathroom throwing up. Looks like another day I am going to have to have it out with the school attendance. I had her LLMD fax over a note the other day but I honestly don't know how much it will do.
Then Gary was in the bathroom, also throwing up, and he had let Jaida run free. I grabbed a coat and was getting shoes on when she pooped on the tile by the front door. Two more trips outside to see if she had to go, but it was more of "let's chase leaves and chew grass" moment for her. I have been up since 3am (again :() and I I feel it.

:hurt:

But at least the sun is shining and I will have a nice time with my mom.

I hope that you all have a day filled with sunshine and coffee!!

Well, Sharon, it isn't so much that I want rain, I just want the pollen off of my car LOL And out of my eyes, they are so itchy!
Wonderful wonderful WONDERFUL news about the house!!!!!!!!
Cait missed one question on her written test too- she got stuck with the one that was mostly about fines- like how much of a fine with you get if you park too close to a fire hydrant, rather than how far away should you park from said fire hydrant. But yes, when it comes to being behind the wheel of a car, humility is a good good thing. Good luck to her next week.
Hope that you had anice day with Clara :)

Trudy, I wish you could be there for Mason's b-day too but it will be so nice to have him with you in July!
Scott's b-day is next week (19!! gah!!!!! how the heck did that happen??) and we got him an album but nothing else, no ideas no money... :noidea: Hope that you have a much easier time of it!

Sara- Hey girl!!!!

good morning - yesterday was nice as I got in a good walk. The trees are in bloom. There are a bunch of trees by the River that have wisteria growing up the trunks. Now the wisteria is in bloom and it looks so gorgeous. So pretty to walk. Chris yes there is a lot of pollen. We had a brief rain and it washed off most of the green. I cooked. I scrapped. I watched hockey. I feel so bad for the Capitals they lost a game 7 again to the NY Rangers. The Ranger win is going to make the Eastern Conference Finals were exciting as last year two players Ryan Callahan and Martin St. Louis were traded for each other. They were the Captains of their old teams. Now in the finals the two will face each other. But Ryan Callahan just had an appendectomy so not sure when he will be back in the line up. Any way it will be exciting. But the next game is not until Sat so I am going through withdrawal. But today I also get to watch the US play in the Quarterfinals of the IIHF Worlds championships. They play the Swiss team and they should be able to defeat them.

Chris I am so sorry you are feeling so bad! So sorry the rest of the family is not doing so well either. Not being able to sleep is just the pits. Glad you all have Jaida to make you all happy. They so keep you on your toes.

Sharon I hope you day with you DGD went well. Cracks me up to hear you say you sleep when she naps but after listening to my sister I who says the same thing I guess it just shows me that I have forgotten just how busy the little ones are. Congrats again on your swimming.

Trudy yes I was so happy when Tampa won! I am surprised you did not hear me yelling. So sorry you can't be with your DGS for his birthday but how sweet you get him in July for so long. The tunnel thing sounds like fun! my boys loved crawling through things. I bet he will love the box the toy comes in as much as the tunnel.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... :rain: here this morning, it woke me up it was pouring so hard. But it has been pretty dry here so the rain is a much needed thing. Pollen has been done with here for a bit now, but soon the Cottonwood trees will be losing all of their cotton and it will look like its snowing. Well as usual, life got in the way of my scrapping yesterday. I ended up having to make a card for my son-in-law, which was actually quite fun. But it took me forever to do. :washing: and other chores got done also. Perhaps I will have better luck today?

Chris - I really wish I could do something to make you and your whole family feel better!! But I am sending you lots and lots of gentle hugs  and hoping that that your luncheon out with your Mother helps a bit! It really is crappy when you can't get the sleep that you so desperately need! Whatever you give your sweet son for his birthday, I am sure he will love it! He seems like such a fine young man and I am sure he understands better than most what your financial and your health situation is like.

Nancy - Yes I think I heard you yelling all the way out here on the West Coast!! I felt terrible for the Capitals too, but it was a great game! Hope you don't suffer from withdrawal too much before you can watch hockey again. Did you get your new iWatch yet?? I am so jealous, although I am not sure why? I don't wear a watch anymore anyway LOL

Well off to swimming this morning after my breakfast and a talk with DD and Mason, she has approved the tent and tunnel that I chose for a gift. I think he will love it. Also made a purchase from IKEA the other day of a little circus tent and table and chairs for the grandkids. I am going to put little lights inside the tent and set it up with blankets and pillows and books to read and toys. I hope they will love to play in it on the rainy days or early mornings, instead of turning on that darn TV! I am going to paint the table top with blackboard paint, so they can draw on it with chaulk. Hope it will be fun for them and me!! :becky: Have a great Thursday everyone!!

Chris, sure hoping lunch with Mom will perk up your day.

Wednesday With Clara was extra special. She fell asleep in my arms as I was rocking her. What a rare treat. I'm afraid that until great-grandchildren start coming (oh, Lord, PLEASE, not for several years!!!), that may be my last experience of that priceless gift. I treasured each and every second of it.

NOTHING on the schedule for today. I'm even glad to not be scheduled for any "fun." It has been a non-stop week, and I need today to veg. Golf tomorrow assuming the weather cooperates.

Trudy, the play area you have planned for the kids sounds AWESOME!!!! I just know they will love it. You are such a wonderful grandma. Really great idea to paint the tabletop with blackboard paint. You ROCK!

I slept the best last night that I have in a month...but this morning was dreaming I was helping DD arrange furniture in a new house. But it wasn't her furniture, OR her house...all of it was too big (ironic since that will NOT be the case in real life), and that we needed to put huge potted plants on tall pedestals! Not my WORST dream, but still frustrating.

Already did a scrap page, so back to bed for awhile with another slosh of coffee.

Sharon... such a precious time you spent with your sweet Clara!! It makes my grandma heart sing!! That special bond we have with our grandchildren is just the most awesome thing!! So happy to hear that you slept well last night! I find I sleep better if I do not allow myself to have screen time right before I go to bed. Guess it stimulates my brain too much? Off to check out your latest page!!

Oh, Trudy! Wish I were small enough to come play in that tent. Everything you describe for the grands sounds wonderful. Wonder if Nancy isn't right about Mason and the box though. Cats are sure like that. Hope swimming went well and you get to scrap today.

Nancy, I'm just loving your pages from the trip. Beautiful every one. Meant to comment on the hawk page but got sidetracked. Even I was pulling for Washington to finish off the Rangers. Our local excitement is game 6 in the basketball playoffs tonight, hoping the Cavs can finish off the Bulls. Glad the wisteria looks good along your walk. Some went rogue in our neighborhood and we wage an endless war against it strangling our bushes.

Oh,Chris. Things are bad enough you sure do need your sleep. Wishing you lots of it and better days for all of you. Hope Mom gets you a nice lunch and sympathy. And that the pollen gets washed away as ours did.

Sara! Hope school is out and you'll be here a bit.

Sharron, hope you got to nap with Clara.

I'll be working on my program for Saturdays' genealogy meeting. My latest scrapbook page tells about our yard.

Hope it's a good one.

Yikes, I took a long time with my post and cross-posted with both Sharron and Trudy's reply. So I can say yesterday's 2 Pine Siskins are at least 6 today. We're enjoying!
