Good morning, my sweeties.

I have a quick question for all of you. Waaaaaay back when, the Daily Ooos followed a schedule of sorts, little topics to talk about. It was totally optional, just a way to make conversation if you wanted. I was wondering if you wanted that brought back. Here's the description:
The Daily Oooo's - Explained!

Yesterday was a pretty good day, I feel like I got a bunch of things accomplished. I even had time at the end of the day to work a little more on the scarf I am crocheting. It will be ummmmm... interesting to see how it looks when I am done. This is the one that I started after Christmas and was struggling with the pattern. I gave up on the original pattern and went with a similar shape but a different stitch. I somehow got it into my head to combine the two patterns. When I had the triangle section of the shawl approximately the same size as in the first one, I went back to that pattern and finishing up with the cowl. I have the shawl part from Pic#1 and now adding the cowl from #2. The yarn I am using is plummy grey wool. We'll see ;)

@faerywings Just looked at the Daily Ooooo's link. What a cute idea. I'd sure check in.

Oh, how I hadn't been such a tomboy and had paid attention when my grandmother tried to teach me to knit and crochet!

I had to share the picture of Julia, Scott, and Caitlyn- Sept 1998. Sweet babies! Man, I love them ♥

@Nonni F 4 Maine Coons combined probably weigh as much as Whisky does :D Hahaha!! I shouldn't laugh that they pushed you out of bed. I am sure that has happened to me more than once with all of my dogs (and cats in the past).
You were correct, Home Depot wouldn't take the Vet's discount which was a bummer. We were able to use it at Lowe's a few years ago when the washing machine died but they didn't have any stoves that we could (sort of) afford.
Your blood and maple syrup quote needs to be scrapped if you haven't done that already.
Sorry about all of the joints hurting, it sucks getting old but better than the alternative :nod1:

@Cherylndesigns Tell me more about your garden cleanup!! Please  I need to wait another week or so, we are supposed to get some snow over the next few days and I don't want that to kill off anything that is starting to come to life. I forgot that I split and moved some of the crocuses and was thrilled to see them popping up along the side of the yard. I thought the purple blobs were someone's garbage until I looked closer hahaha! I am getting so darn itchy to work out there so you'll have to share everything you are doing for me until I can.

@taxed4ever Hope you had a wonderful hike. Thank you for the brand name of the boots. I looked at them on Amazon, thinking I could send them back if they didn't feel right but they didn't have my size. I will keep looking so thank you again. PS: Great advice about going up a size too

@bcgal00 Hope you had a wonderful day! Do you know what brand of boots you have?

@vickyday How is your headache today? I hope that you are feeling perfectly fine, head and tummy ♥

@LSlycord I would never be able to post at night. By 5 pm, my brain has used up all of its juice and has shut down completely. You'll find your rhythm and we'll be here when you do.
#$*%$# Why do coffee pots have to break down all of the time, and whyyyyyy do they never give any warning??? Whew, glad that you were able to get a new one. Spot on... no way can you go without coffee. Here's some more- just in case you need a back up #coffee-2
How was your dinner, did you get to see any pictures of Andie's siblings? The food sounds absolutely delicious too.

Hugs!!!

I was the same as you. My grandmother (dad's mom) crocheted and knit She always had a bunch of projects going. She tried to teach me and I did *not* have the patience for it. It's one of the things I kick myself for when I look back. I wish I had learned from her. [Who knows, maybe she would have liked me more :rotfl: She loved me as I was her granddaughter, but my brother was the One True King TM --being the first-born grandson in every traditional Italian family. I never had a chance haha!]

"Getting old is better than the alternative....." The older I get and the crazier the world gets, I'm thinking I'm about ready to ditch it all and have the Lord take me on to my heavenly home!
Headache/tummy ache free .... so far today! Thank You, Lord! :banana:

Good Morning!
TODAY'S NEWS: NO HEADACHE OR TUMMY ACHE! At least for now, LOL! That is always subject to change instantly!
Quick in and out as I'm heading to the stores.....groceries, household, baby stuff!
Got the bed made as soon as my feet hit the floor at 9:45 (I was scrapping until 3 a.m.). Slept pretty soundly until 8:30. Made coffee and put the dishes away from the dishwasher while the coffee was perking. Got dressed and ready to head out after checking in here.
HAGD!

Headache / tummy ache free! HORRAY! Don't over do it!
As for getting older being better than the alternative. I do try to remind myself every day that age is a gift denied to many.
Always count your blessings. <3

Peace

I answered #3 but you know I'm kidding LOL. I was busy yesterday with chores and dog park, and then I watched videos about travel photography. Today I want to get out walking with the dogs. I've been going to the dog park which is great for Remi but I need to walk more so we'll go for a hike for an hour or so.

We moved one of the bird nesting homes to the side fence further down from the red one and already it has been claimed by house sparrows.

@faerywings I have HI-TEC, NEO-TECH and Timberland boots and Hunter muck boots, short and mid ones. I can recommend all of them. It's so cute to see the kids when they were young.

@vickyday Glad today is a good day.

I'm going to get out and feed the birds and play with Remi in the yard.

I just realized I did not post yesterday!!! Bad Cici - I think it might have been my first time. Chris, since our winters are relatively mild, I just let my perennials go dormant and kept the dead leaves laying on top. I used to cut them down and cover them with straw, etc. when we lived in Mi. Now, they're all starting to come up - my daylillies are about 3"tall, my Hydrangeas are also coming up, so I took my little hard rake the other day and just pulled the dead foliage from around them. I picked up the dead stuff and threw it away. It's not too early to leave them uncovered here. My ivy is starting to come back to life - it's going to eventually climb up and over my arch. Back in the LATE fall, the things that were annuals, got pulled up by the roots and pitched. I prefer planting perennials, but not all of the herbs and spices are. It looks like my mint is starting to come to life. Other than that, I just rake all the debris out - there are a lot of dead leaves that have landed in the front garden. I still need to work on my grasses - it will be the same process - just getting rid of the dead stuff since the new growth is starting to come up. Hope that helps. I'm excited because my asparagus fern is actually coming back to life again. It's probably the zone we're in - we're in 7b here. I know they're not technically perennials, but they're starting to bloom. We found the perfect little "hard rake" at Lowe's - I'll try to take a picture of it - you can't use those "leaf rakes" very successfully.
