Oh, thank all of the gods that I am feeling (somewhat) more human today. I was feeling so :boom: yesterday. It couldn't have gotten much worse. I taped a sign in the kitchen warning my family that I was not ok and they know what to do: Steer clear. It has been a long time since I had to hang up one of those signs and fingers are crossed that it won't happen again soon. So weird that the pain levels were typical, no spike in that but dayum, the mood was brutal.

So yup, I survived the day including food shopping and rightfully held on the bill paying. I need to do that today. (yuck)
The sun is shining and it is going to be 50 so I should try to enjoy that since we are getting snow overnight according to the forecast.

Scott gave his 2 weeks notice at the restaurant. That was a smart move for him, he was not thrilled being there as it was and he is so much happier at Eden Farms (garden center). he was busting his butt at Blini and two newer staff were doing nothing but talking to each other. Then he found out that they were making the same $$ as he was and I think that was the final straw. I am glad, I hated seeing him miserable about having to go there.
PS: This also means that I get the dying plants and can nurse them back to health in my yard. My yard looked fantastic last year thanks to him :D

I might just bundle up a bit this afternoon and pull some dead plants/clean up some leaves etc. It might do me some good. I don't want to wear myself out too much, however- the party starts tomorrow here!

xoxo

ae- how are the video classes going? Bet they are so interesting. Yes, I should start counting the days until we head to PA. But of course, I am getting the crud that goes along with it, as always. My mom calls me every day worrying about the weather, food, timing, driving cars, the whole deal. Caitlyn wants to bring the dogs but if it is cold then I don't want to have to go outside with them. Gary tells me that I should "tell the kids it is their job" b/c that is so easy. what am I supposed to do if the kids are sleeping or out hiking? I am going to ignore the dogs? Pfft.
Whatever! I will have wine! hahaha!!!!!!

Trudy- that is too bad about the hike being canceled but I am sure that you had plenty to do. How did you do at the pool the other day? And your hike yesterday?
That smiley is the BEST!!!!! Can you add it here maybe??

Rae- I looooove the new avi!!!!!

Hi Sharon! I survived the day and will do my best to do the same again today. Hope that your day was awesome!

Morning O-zies! I am very happy this morning as I have lost another 1.5 lbs!! Hooray!! I am really enjoying this Lifestyle change! But my brother and SIL are coming for dinner on Friday night and DH wants to order Chinese food :gaah: How can I stay on my diet when we will be having Chinese?? I guess I will have to make something for myself and let them enjoy the take out?? Anyway yesterday I had a great hike through all the trails around providence farm. It brought back memories of when Heather would take therapeutic riding there and we would follow her while she rode, she was so happy to be out in the fresh air and enjoying nature! So many lovely trails it took me almost 2 hours to do a good portion of them. It was crazy because the sun was shining and it was a lovely morning, but where we were to have our group hike it was snowing like crazy :loco: My sister phoned and said it had been snowing all morning and there was about another 3-4 inches on the ground. Wish I would have remembered to take my i-Phone so I could have gotten some pics, but maybe next time.

Chris - So nice to hear that you are feeling better today and not ready to explode!! You DH is right if the kids want to bring the dogs then it should be the ones to take care of them, if they are sleeping then they will have to wake up to take them out!! You are not their slave girl!! I know you are the Mom and you love them but sheesh you get to take a break now and then too and they are all grown up and should be helping out ! Ok I will step down off of my soapbox now LOL

Sorry I just want to stick up for you! I will add that smiley for you today and perhaps a few more, some of them crack me up! The pool was pretty crowded the other day but I was talking to a woman that I was sharing a lane with and she said that if go in the afternoon between 1-3 pm it is much quieter and you pretty much have the lanes to yourself. So maybe I will try that today. I hope you get to be outside in the dirt today, it is still much to soggy and wet for me to get out there yet, but my clematis bushes really need a trimming and I have to do it very soon!

Rae - Can I say again how great you look! I won't recognize you when we meet in May at Butchart Gardens! Any ideas about my upcoming dinner with my brother and SIL? I doubt very much that take out Chinese is low carb LOL. Hope you are able to get through your work quickly today!

OK I really need to do a layout or two today then off to swimming, but first I am going to try Rae's recipe for chocolate pudding I love avocado so this should be a good one for me to try! Have an amazing day ladies and get lots of rest, because tomorrow we P.A.R.T.Y.!!!

Good morning, ladies. I watched Anna's brush video wk 1 yesterday and attended her live chat. So fun! This wkend I will watch wk 2 video. Its a great class. I've already learned things about brushes I didn't know. My problem now is having time to play wth my new knowledge LOL. Jen is making dinner tonight. I am going to miss that when she goes. One cooks and the other does cleanup. It's so nice to have another woman in the house but only for another wk and she'll be in her new place. We'll go see it this wkend as we help her move in some of the smaller stuff while the moving company takes the big stuff. Then Wed she will officially move in. I'm very happy that I'll be able to drive over in about 7 minutes. She took my ink cartridges to work today to exchange 2 of them as I got ink on my fingers when I loaded them and she says I can get a whole new set of ink cartridges for free. Yay. Love that she works for Staples. I'll get a discount on all my office stuff.

Chris - so happy that today is better. I'm glad the bad mood was short-lived. Get outdoors and soak in some fresh air, putter for a few minutes out there but don't overdo it. This wkend is going to be a great down-time for you. Thx for the compliment on my new avi. The pic has a filter on it which cleans up skin tone and shadows but it doesn't change my face shape, so I'm happy to say that is my normal face now :) I can see the 20 lb loss in my body and how my clothes fit but its hard to see it in my face. I only notice it in photos, not when I look in the mirror.

Trudy - have you had cauliflower rice? I did a blog article with the recipe recently (elsewhere, not here) and can give you the link if you want to see the recipe. I would suggest having it with a bit of sauceless meat like black bean chicken, egg foo yong, beef and broccoli. I'd only eat a small amount, maybe add a bit of your own meat, wipe off most sauce if possible and keep any other food that day as low carb as possible to balance it out. I had black bean chicken last wk and just had a few ounces, lightly dabbing the meat with a paper towel to get a bit of sauce off. I was fine with that. I had my cauliflower rice and mushrooms b/c thats one of the lowest veggie carbs to have. I find that often a few bites of something is enough to satisfy me so don't need a huge portion to enjoy it. I do that with higher carbs like peppers and onions. I only have a few strips and it's enough. Good luck and hope you find something good to eat.

I'm looking forward to relaxing tonight with the family and watching GA, Scandal and the return of Catch. Good TV night! I hope to get a page done too while I watch.

Have a great day, everyone.

Oh Good- Catch comes back! My dog got a hold of an ink pin, went to the stairs and ate it up, then tracked ink all over the house. The stairs have carpet, so I had to rip out the carpet, all the tack strips and staples and nails. We had to shampoo the dogs and mop the house. I am now exhausted. That took 5 hours. The stairs are ready for dogs but I really need to sand them a little, but I have huge blisters on my hands from not wearing gloves. Ugh. I am on the disabled list for now.
