*tap tap* 'Scuse me, Mother Nature, there is something wrong with my outdoor thermometer. It is reading that it is 6*F and that's pretty odd for the first week of March... What gives???:yield:
There are times that I wish we didn't have dogs. No, that isn't true. I wish we had a fenced yard so I didn't have to go outside *with* the dogs.

I can't decide whether I got a lot done yesterday or not. It was such an interrupted kind of day. I would get started on something and then - interrupted. Again and again. I am just so upset for my Goddaughter and that took up a lot of my mental space.

I was able to get a little bit of cleaning done, but the "deep clean" will have to wait until it is closer to the surgery date. My house gets really dusty really fast. Gary has a really bad habit of spilling coffee everywhere so it doesn't make sense to scrub the kitchen floor yet either. The man's hands shake horribly and yet fills his darn coffee mug to the very top LOL

I finished another LO for my nephew's album so I have three more pages to go. I am not super happy with them but it is hard trying to make pages for a soon to be 8 yo boy. My typical style doesn't match his photos. I haven't been posting them anywhere since I am using old stash kits and a lot of non-O Designers but he should be happy seeing himself in a book, right?

Today, I am getting my hair cut and colored! The last time I had it done was in August. I think I want to go a bit lighter than when I had it done last time, I am feeling very drab.

Love and hugs!!!

Nancy- We better get a really nice spring and summer to balance out these horrible last few weeks. DST is this weekend and it should be getting warmer, not colder.
Your Devils have really gotten hurt with all of the injuries, no pun intended.
I shouldn't laugh at the blame game with the lost remote except it sounds so darn familiar LOL
When I was at the Dr appt, they asked if I had a mammo recently- I know that my chart says that I am overdue. Only by a month right now, but it is going to have to wait. No more appts and being poked and prodded! haha!!

Trudy- smart decision to stay home and enjoy the alone time.

BRB- W needs to go out.

T- I am not surprised that you are back up to 30 laps already. Good for you. I wish the weather here was better so I can start walking again. My weight went up a lot- at least 5 lbs and that makes me anxious and disgusted with myself.
Your paintings are so awesome and unique. Good luck with selling them!
My headache never went away even after I had coffee so I am thinking that it wasn't b/c of that. That reminds that I was thinking that I was going to cut back on the caffeine and guess what I already did? Drink two big mugs of coffee. Maybe tomorrow...

Rae- It sounds like the meeting was a productive one, overall. I hope that they take their time in transitioning B. Very proud of you and Jen standing your ground with them as well.

Morning O-zies! Well its :smow: again this morning :mmph: the really wet sloppy stuff!! Ugh!! I am sure it will melt away later on today though as we are supposed to get a bit warmer today. The say sunshine and seasonal temps for the weekend, so let's hope that the weatherman is correct this time! I got my parcel mailed off to Heather yesterday and because it was such a large canvas and a pretty heavy duty one it cost a fortune to mail :mmph: oh well it is not like I send her too many things in the mail. I suppose the next parcel will be for the boys with some Easter goodies, but that's not for a bit yet. I did not get to scrap yesterday or paint, I ended up working on our apple tv downstairs and reset it to its factory settings. It was not working at all and now it is all good. Then worked on the andriod box upstairs, it was not streaming well and cleared the cache on all the apps and now it is working awesome too!! Today we are planning on cleaning out the freezer in the garage, it really needs defrosting! Also some blackberry juice spilled all over the bottom of it and it's a sticky icky mess! MIL gave us a great idea on how to clean it all out, using two electric kettles the kind that don't shut off automatically and placing them in the empty freezer and closing the lid. It totally cleans the freezer in about 15 minutes! What a great idea!! She says she just lays old towels on the bottom of the freezer and it cleans up the mess in no time! What a smart woman!! Meanwhile you can organize your food on the floor and have it back in the freezer before anything even starts to melt! So hopefully that job will get done today! I think we are also bottling wine sometime this weekend, so that will keep us both busy too! Always something to do!

Chris - Your day yesterday sounds like all of my weekends... one interruption after another :becky: Leaving me wondering just what the heck I actually got finished LOL. Thanks for the nice compliment on my paintings, I am hoping that someone will like them enough to buy one LOL. Not everyone's cup of tea I know. I just fell in love with the fluid style of painting! I too have put on a few pounds over the winter, but I know once I get busier with hikes etc. It will come off again. I just need to get more active and I am sure it will be that way for you too! Sorry your headache never went away, even after coffee. Give up coffee....never!! Perhaps just limit yourself to 2 - 3 cups a day?? So happy for you that you are getting your haircut and colour today! You will feel like a million bucks after! Perhaps you could share your new colour with us??

Rae - WTG on standing your ground with the staff at your meeting! Sometimes they just seem like they try to bully us around in hopes that we will give up! I hope that B will transition smoothly into a daily routine and that she will be ready when it is time for her to finally move in with you and J if that is what your end goal is to be. Hope you got all caught up with your work and managed to have a bit of time for yourself yesterday!

:hello: to all of you ladies today! I hope that everyone has a good Friday and that the sun comes out to warm you all up! Off to the shower and then get some breakfast for my Gary, it has stopped snowing and I see some patches of blue sky out there. Horray!!

Yesterday it kept snowing off and on but never built up to much. At least the really cold temps of the previous two nights are apparently done and it will be a bit warmer. Yesterday I saw the gastroenterologist and the result is mostly good with clearance to eat most things, but not fatty food, which is what it should have been anyway. Still he's doing a test in late April to get a definite look at the situation. At least that meant I got to eat a salad last night! (instead of soft, bland that I'd been eating.)

Chris, having your hair done today should give you a lift despite all the rest. And I do think at least somewhat warmer temps really are coming. Guess it is a challenge to scrap for an 8-y-o boy, but I know you can do it.

Trudy, it does sound like you'll be doing lots of things these four days with DH home. Certainly no time for scrapping or painting I bet. The pictures of those two paintings were super. I do love the colors in the one for your DD and the flow of the design. Pretty sure selling others won't be hard.

Sorry to be behind on everyone else, but hope it's leading up to a lovely weekend for you.

Good morning all.

I think I am becoming far too lazy and just can't get my head around it. Just as I was starting to enjoy getting out to play Pickleball my knee blew out on me and I had a 2 year wait for surgery. Consequently I am totally disgusted with myself as I have gained 30 pounds over the last few years. Mostly because of the knee problem and not being as active as I should be. Of course that didn't stop me from eating too much and the wrong types of food added to it. Habits are sure hard to break.
Now I have developed foot pain. Geeze what next.

It is my daughters birthday dinner out on Friday and when I went to my closet anything suitable was a little on the tight side. I haven't shopped for a long time but decided to go out and have a stab at it. I lasted an hour before my constant foot pain had me limping down the aisles. Finally I found a dress that will work and headed home after 2.5 hours in pain.

I have no idea what is causing the pain but it sure makes it hard to walk the dog and generally get around. I even have the pain when in bed and move my foot. The GP thought it might be arthritis but was not sure. Hmm time for a specialist I think. Getting old sucks lemons.

I'm going to take my pity party downstairs for more coffee. lol Have a good day everyone.

Was out early today... had an appointment to talk about some of my investments that need to be changed. They finally opened an office here in town so can talk face to face. Of course, it is across the river- clear across town. Traffic wasn't too bad but it was still at the end of morning rush hour. Will make the next appt for early afternoon so can avoid heavy traffic. Will be changing quite a few things - so he is going to work up recommendations for me. Ugh... hate making financial decision about buying and selling. Was glad to just head right home with no stops for anything... will do other errands on another day.

Kythe, so sorry about your foot pain. Yes, I have that from my DJD (Degenerative Joint Disease aka arthritis) in both feet and legs. Change in weather [both bad and good] and in humidity can set mine off. Or it just suddenly rears its ugly head for no reason I can tell. Hope it eases off for you. Glad you found a dress to wear for your daughter's dinner.

Jean, good news that you can start adding more food to your diet. A salad sounds so good.

Trudy, I love those two painting... you are really talented! Hope you can start selling them. Don't envy defrosting and cleaning the freezer... great idea from your MiL... I gather it is a chest type [vs and up-right]. Mom had one and it was a real PITA to clean.

Rae, glad you stood your ground about B.. and what she still needs. Hope it works out okay in the future.

Chris, I hear you about interruptions and wondering what you got accomplished during a day... have had many like that. Some days I start one thing then another catches my eye and then a third thing... and on and on and nothing gets done completely.

I think I am going to hibernate tomorrow as it is the 14 month anniversary of DH's death. The 8th of every month is still very hard to deal with. Think I will pull out a couple of "Old Favorite" books and read the day away. It will be either Dee Henderson's books or maybe Nora Roberts. I can get lost in them for hours.

Good afternoon, ladies. We got a few inches of snow last night so am waiting for the wet snow to stop so I can take Taz out. It's supposed to taper off this afternoon. Its wet snow so it'll start melting quickly. Not much happening here, just work, chores, etc. Popped into Michaels last night and got more watercolor pencils to use with B when we color our stamped images for card making. I ran into an old scrapbook friend from yrs ago when I paper scrapped. We talked for about 1/2 hr and it was great to catch up.

Today I'm staying home other than taking Taz out and focus on work. Might scrap later if I get a chance.

Chris - enjoy your cut and color...that always feels good, doesn't it? I'm due for a cut soon. D spills coffee everywhere too, little dribbles and spots across the table/counter and often in front of the coat closet (he takes a mug of coffee with him to work and it doesn't have a lid).

Trudy - let us know how the freezer defrost went. Sounds like a good idea.

Jean - bet it felt good to eat some solid food.

Kythe - be careful with your foot pain, out in this slushy slippery snowfall. I they figure out what's wrong with your foot and it improves.

Kay - hugs. Sounds like a good plan for tomorrow, keep yourself busy doing something you enjoy.

I'm grabbing another coffee and getting back to work now before taking Taz out. Hope you all have a great day.
