Hello helloO! Hoping that everyone got a great night's sleep. I fell asleep quickly but woke up at 4. I drifted a bit but have been wide awake since 5.

Let's change things up a bit today and do a quick visualization. I would start by saying "close your eyes" but that would mean ya can't see what I typed
Read this, then close your eyes!
Imagine that you are outside, somewhere that makes you happy. It could be the beach, the forest, a meadow. But wherever you are, look up and feel the warm sun on your face. Reach your arms to the sky and breathe in the energy from it. Really get the light into your lungs. Stay there for a moment or two, then drop your arms, take another deep breath and let it all out.

Where did you go? I was at the shore. Waves crashing gently and the seagulls all around. heaven!

I was able to update my Advance Directive yesterday. That was fun /s It took me forever to find a form that I could fill out for free. Most of the "free" ones were actually for a free trial and I wasn't putting credit card info in. AARP.com has one that you can do, save it as a pdf and then edit it. Cait and Gary both signed forms giving each of us Health Power of Attorney if needed. Good times, man, good times. ;)
It was really cold and "spritz-y" so I took W out for a very short and fast walk. I needed to clear my head a bit and get a little time away from the computer. I tried to scrap a page but I am still totally struggling with that.
Cait is not feeling well, but we don't think it is COVID related. She has a sore throat and swollen glands which she is susceptible too. No fever which is great news. It looks like it could be strep or something similar. We have been debating the cost/benefits of getting her a Dr. appt. If it is strep, she needs abx. If it isn't then it is worse to potentially expose her in the waiting room.
It is so messed up.

I can copy and paste my "what I am doing today" from what I said yesterday. LOL You too?
Right now it is very cold but it is supposed to get warmer this afternoon. If that is the case, I am going in the yard to do some more cleanup, unless I need to take Cait to the Dr. I would love to take the dog(s) for a walk as well.
I should give up trying to scrap at this point. I am only getting myself frustrated.
And dinner... what to make for dinner... :eek:hwell:

-crossing small things off of my to-do list
-that I have food in my fridge even if I don't want to cook it :p

Kay- I hope your weather was as nice as predicted. I am doing the same as you, get distracted by the computer. I should go and see if any of the April Challenges can get me inspired.

Nancy- That is awesome that you have old games to watch. Did you walk at all yesterday? It was miserable out there.
Checks, I don't think my kids even have paper checks, they use their debit cards for everything. haha!
I am glad your DH is not having to go into NYC too :(

Trudy- My brother and I are going to see if I can get Zoom to work on the old tablet so I can chat with Christopher today. Nice that you are able to spend so much time with the grand but does that mean less time to paint?

Rae- times change, don't they-- funny how you and D have flipped rolls with the food and stocking up. I hope that everything works out with Jen moving in. It is hard to make the right decisions at this point. what are they??

Jean- I have al of that chicken I need to cook LOL I have rice too. Snap peas in the freezer... hmmm... You have me thinking!
In some ways, the stay at home isn't that hard since this is what we do here anyway but my brain is having a harder time staying on track- even more than usual. My neck is pretty creaky too which why I have to go nice and slow with that too. Sounds like I have ball bearing rolling around in there. Can you relate?

Felis-sending you calming hugs- I am so sorry that you had a weak moment (not weak, BTW-- human!). And I am very sorry that your family is struggling with job losses. that has to be terrifying. :(
If it helps, you are 100% not alone in how you feel. Scott was saying the exact same thing the other night, how he thought 2020 was going to be a great year for him in every way. Now, in less than a month, it is all gone. You have to be able to grieve for that.
Keep playing that music! You are a strong woman xoxo

Another great night - fell asleep at 9PM and slept until 6:30AM!!! Feeling better this morning - only a few aches and pains from rolling and moving the big rug to the garage yesterday. Boy... does the family room look different without it. We put it down when we moved in 9 years ago. Couldn't believe it but it got up to 72 yesterday afternoon - opened the house up and let it air out. Was 54 when I got up so it didn't cool down at night like it has been. Another warm day - 72 or 73 but with high winds expected [45 to 65 mph this afternoon]. Won't be opening the house up as the wind means we will have dirt blowing around. Have to enjoy the warmer temps as a cold front will be here tomorrow with rain/snow. Well, that is normal for Spring so will enjoy the warmth while it is here. Went out and took some photos of the backyard trees that are in bloom. The trees in the front yard are just now starting to show some buds. Need to get the weeds in the front yard sprayed with weed killer as soon as DD#1 brings over some stuff. I am out but she has an extra container. Will wait until after the storm comes through.

Posted my Day 7 Birthday layout this morning. Had to go back and get a list of what I used before I posted it. Boy is that Live Life a great collab and can be used for so many of those pages.

Dug in the freezer and got out some Enchiladas Sauce for supper last night [and for tonight's supper]. Discovered I had another full bag of cheese in the fridge... it was hidden behind my bin of tortillas. I really need to make the apple cobbler today before the apples get over-ripe. Not sure how large a pan I will make - will know once I get all the apples sliced. Think it will be a large pan as I have so many that need to be used now. Need to dig into the freezer and see is I have some frozen veggies so I can make a lentil stew tomorrow. That is always a great meal on a cold day.

Chris, thanks for the visualization this morning. I was in the mountains by a stream as the sun played peek-a-boo with the clouds and a light breeze stirred the leaves on the trees. Brought back memories of camping with my hubby and kids.

Nancy, I was hoping that you had some of the games on tape or re-runs so you could get your fix from them. So glad your DH doesn't have to go into NYC!

Trudy, glad you have been able to spend time on-line with the grandkids. That would raise anyone's spirits to interact with them.

Felis, so sorry about your job situation. And also having your dad so upset. So many are going through this... am hoping and praying that things will improve in the near future. Just know you are not alone and you can vent here when you need to do that. <<< hugs >>>

Rae, understand why Jen may want to move back in with you during this time. Just hope that she stays well since she has to go into work.

I remember when I used to take care of my mom and understand why my kids want to take care of me... just strange to be on the receiving end instead of the doing side. My kids/grandkids are telling me to stay home and let them doing any shopping/etc for me. So far I am okay on supplies except for disinfecting items. But since no one except for me has been inside my house, I am not too worried about it. I did discover that I have 2 containers of disinfecting wipes that have dried out... one by Clorox and one of WM brand. I am thinking that I might be able to mix up some Clorox solution to put in them. I know that the wipes are is very short supply right now.

Off to get dressed then do a couple of loads of laundry.

Morning ladies... had a quick face time with just Heather this morning. The boys were outside playing basketball and riding their bikes with their Dad. How nice for them to have their Dad home to keep them busy! Sounds like the rain will be coming to their area so they might not be getting outside for a few days :mmph: Cloudy and grey here today also, so I hope the rain holds off until after my walk today. Tonight DH and I are going for a little drive to where his Sister Linda lives. It is her 65th birthday and we are going to drop off flowers, a bottle of wine and a card to her doorstep. We will ring the doorbell and step back a safe distance and then sing happy birthday to her. She is all alone and no one should have to spend their birthday all alone!! It will be a short visit from a distance, but its the least that we can do. Yesterday I completed my Commissioned painting and here are three photos of the process, it was a different style of painting than what I am used to, but hopefully the man that wanted it likes it and I can get it sent out to him soon. It still needs a few coats of either a glossy varnish or a coat of resin whichever he chooses. I sent him a photo of it last night but have not heard back from him yet, so hopefully he doesn't hate it!! Hopefully he is not sick with this virus!! Oh well what will be will be.

Chris - Thanks for the visualization! I too went to the ocean and soaked up the warm sunshine! Sure hope you can get Zoom to work for you! Now that my painting is done I hope to get some inspiration for some scrapping too! Hope you have fun with the last day of the Birthday party and that you get to be outside in the fresh air at some point today!

Kay - Your visualization for this morning sounded like heaven to me! How nice to bring back memories with your DH of camping ! Sounds like your day will be filled with lots of cooking and baking! Bet your house will smell wonderful! I too need to do some digging in the freezer for something for dinner tonight? Or perhaps after we sing Happy Birthday to SIL Linda we will order take out from somewhere.

Rae - So glad that you got what you needed and more from Costco, probably a better shopping experience than you have ever had there, with only 50 allowed in the store at once, the line ups to the till would have been short!

Felis - Oh dear I am sorry to hear about the job situation! Yes scary times for so many! I am glad that you have plenty of food and supplies for your kittys!! Take care of yourself and I hope that things will improve for everyone in your family soon! Could not listen to the song as I do not have a twitter account :mmph:

Jean - I am hoping that the weather continues to be warm and sunny for you! Nice to hear and see the birds being more active and very nice that your dinner was delicious for you and your DH!

Ok I need to get in the shower and then empty the dishwasher, make the bed, etc. Oh what an exciting day LOL. Have a good day everyone, stay well!!

good day - it is sunny and in the 50s. Sunny always makes me warmer. Had a fantastic walk with Luther and DH. My watch has an app that I used to keep track of my walk distances. Well today I forgot to end it when we got in the car and it did not stop so it looks like I walked almost 4 miles instead of just about 2 miles. LOL. Everything is blooming and I love it. But tomorrow is rain and I know rain bring more blooms but still. Been cooking and it has been good. Last night we had steak, green beans, potatoes pancakes with cheese. It was so yummy no leftovers. And my DH had been cleaning up the mess which is not much when I cook but still so sweet! Not much else going on. So I guess Chris is correct that I just have to cut and paste.

Chris glad you have food and yes the hard part is coming up with what to cook. I am sure your family is just glad that you cook and they have something to eat. Hope your neck is doing better. Have fun outside! Glad you got directive updated. I did walk yesterday and it was chilly but we waited until late in the day and I was going stir crazy in the house. It was just what we all needed. I visualize my West - I love the wide open spaces and I love the colors - Arches National Park.

Rae you are so lucky to have so much family there to help! How great to be getting warmer weather even if you have wind. Hope the cold front comes and goes fast. I loved where you visualized. What sweet memories of camping and kids.

Trudy that is great that Johan has the boys outside playing and giving Heather a break. It is so cool for me to see so many fathers and mothers out with their kids riding bikes or just walking. The big thing in our community is chalk writing and drawing. Lots of rainbows and stay safe. The painting is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing to process! You really have talent!

Rae so glad your shopping went well. It must be hard for Jen to decide if she wants to move back and if she has to keep working how that will effect your DH.

Jean yes we got your warmer air. I cant believe today was Opening Day for baseball. I want my sports back. Still not seeing to many small birds back yet. Today red winged black birds, blue jays, Canada geese, mallard pair, red bellied woodpeckers, cardinals and of course sparrows. Hope you are seeing cool stuff.

Felis so sorry about the job! It is not fun with all the stress. Hang in there! Listen to the music.

I am grateful for all the essential personnel that are out there keeping us safe!
Have a great day.

Good morning girls!
I'm back to knitting, have 3 projects that always procrastinate, so what better time to do that than now. Will be happy to finish some of them. Also I'm always want to learn crocheting, so maybe I'll have invest time in this too.
I have belief that if I suffering for small things, this is irresponsible to my deep pain from the loss of my beloveds in past. I don't want to angry their souls. And in naive impulse I'm choose to hope that everything will end at the best possible way! As my favorite song says: "We won't let our worries dictate who we are." . So for now will ignore the troubles.

Chris, oh my, hope Cait get better soon! It's the Spring problems, with the change of weather. Check do you have doctors who offered online check and prescriptions, we have now and I think Rae say she too.

Trudy, it's just a link to silly song for the social distance, that's the link I found as here I can open it without account. I think this is the second time when link work in Europe but not for you. It's realy never mind, it's just for smile, but if you are corious can try here. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-KaoNQAyWG/ I actually think your boys may like it! WOW this painting is so gorgeous! When I made Chris' visualization I choose to be in your painting. Cloudy and grey here today also, I hate the muddy days. Happy birthday to the his Sister Linda :) , such a cute idea for celebration you have! Hope all this will end soon and you'll celebrate belated!

Kay, thank you for your kind words  ! Enjoy the warmer temps! I love your backyard, because it's in so different style than mine, why you don't shared the photos or will scrap them? Oh you're so sweet, but please allow your kids to take care for you, this not switch your places at the family hierarchy, just helps them to express their grateful!

Nancy, If someone insist that she walked almost 4 miles, I would believe this only for you. LOL Haha! But 2 miles are very impressive too!
