Hello and happy Thursday to everyone! How are you?
I have to say that is a *very* good thing that it is rainy today. The temps are going to be awesome and if not for the rain, I would want to be outside. My back felt pretty darn good all day yesterday. This morning, I set it off again, not bad but the twinges are rolling through. Dammit.
I actually felt pretty productive yesterday. Gary drove to me to get the groceries and brought everything in but I was able to get it unpacked and put away. I did some laundry - had Scott bring the basket down for me, but I was good putting my clothes in the closet and drawers. I also finished the little kitten bucket! Today, I am weaving in the ends for the blanket, will block them both and when they are dry, I will see if the woman who has that cat hospice wants them. If not, I will contact the shelter. The bucket came out cute! Scott and I talked about gardens and plants and I really want to get looking at what I will need. And *buying* since the COVID relief check came yesterday. Actually, Gary and I have to have a discussion about what we plan on using it for, there are a lot of things around the house that we haven't been able to take care of and a bunch of bills has piled up.
My mom called me last night to update me about her new kidney specialist. The one that she had been seeing since last summer was not a good match for her, she needs information explained to her clearly and kindly. The first Dr might have been entirely competent and highly rated but he wasn't treating her as a person with valid concerns. I had been telling her since Day One to switch to his partner but she felt uncomfortable. Finally, when she saw her cardiologist last month a question came up about her kidneys and she didn't know how to answer it and finally asked the cardiologist to recommend someone else. The new Dr seems like he is going to be able to help a lot. She wasn't intimidated by him and was able to ask a lot of questions and get answers. Such a relief!
Not much else going on here- I am debating whether I should take meds, get a heat pack, or a pain patch for my back. Fun choices today *winks*
Have a fab day!!
