The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I was going to come in this morning, and make a joke about "what was I thinking?" I am chaperoning for a High School museum trip and will be responsible for 10 or so 16 year olds.

But I woke up to a Facebook post of the daughter of one of Gary's best friends, that he died last night. At first I thought she was posting song lyrics, then I realized what she was really saying. I am in shock. Part of me wants to believe that its a silly FB viral thingy. But I know it is not :(
Gary lost 3 friends int he last 4 months. Each one of them we heard about through FB. Sign of the times I guess.

On a happier note, both kids approved my outfit as "not-embarrassing" to wear on a HS field trip. :)

Hope that you all have a great day. Please say a prayer/send thoughts to Jeff and his family. Thank you.

ToT: Is there a reset button for life??

OMG, Chris. this is just awful. and 3 friends in 4 months? how can that even BE? does Gary know yet? tragic. unbelievable. prayers for all of you.

the field trip probably won't be bad. i think by the time kids are 16 they've pretty much given up trying to act stupid in public. if it was 10 MIDDLE SCHOOL kids, that would be a different story....

dentist today. not expecting anything to be wrong. they all love my dental hygiene over at the dental office. after that, dunno WHAT i'm doing. the house could use a "red up," as we say in this part of the country. whether i pursue that is another matter.

good morning ladies....not much to report here....today i got the day off from exercsing but today i go to work! blah i think my body is overworked right now haha...i have been passing out before 9pm at night! last night me and dh were playing xbox and i was falling asleep playing the game!!

morning all, my birthday gift has arrived. I am reading the manual and the first 11 pages are on safety, the first 8 describe ALL the safety labels- thank you litigious society. So now that I know to not put my hands under the mower deck when it is running, to not mow close to people and that the engine can get hot, I think I am ready to learn about how to make it run and turn on the blades so once the dew dries I can do the first mowings! My lawn has oh so sprouted this week- I have grass (umm weedy grass) mounds all over my lawn. I can't wait. The smell of the first mowed grass is intoxicating to me. Now you know my secret.

Chris, prayers said for you guys.

Morning ladies... It's frosty here brrrr!! But hopefully that means that the skies are clear and we will have sunshine today! Off to work, they changed my hours again, trying to sneak in an extra 1/2 hr. each day I don't know how else to tell them that I am already working more than I want to!! I don't want more hrs!!!

Chris - How very sad that your MG's friend has passed on!! What a way to find out about it! My goodness 3 friends in the last 4 months!! Yikes!! Exactly what are all these friends dying of? Sometimes life just doesn't make any sense!! My daughter lost 6 friends from high school in just under a year. So tragic, some car accidents, some suicides and one trying to save someone from drowning. Devastating!!! My prayers are sent to the family and you both!! Good luck with your field trip, I am sure it will take your mind off the bad news for a while anyway!

Phylis - Isn't it nice that you don't have to fear the dentist, it really does pay off to take great care of your teeth doesn't it!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Laurie - Bet you can't wait to turn over that new engine!! Wish you lived next door then you could come and cut my grass too!! Have fun with your birthday gift!!

Kristy - Sounds like you need to get some more !! Sometimes I feel like that and fall asleep in front of the computer LOL!!

Well off to get some breakfast and then get to work. Have a great day everyone!!

Hello ladies. Chris, I am so sorry for Gary's loss. I am praying for the family now...and for Gary as well...too much loss to deal with. And I hope that the museum trip is a good one!

Phylis, I don't mind the dentist either. The last hygenist who worked on me said, "Oh my! You don't have any fillings. I couldn't figure out why your x-rays didn't look right." Yes...something in my body that is holding up!

Trudy, I hope you get the sunshine. And I hope that you can get the fools doing your schedule to understand what you want!

Laurie...LOL!!! I just can't help but laugh as I read those ridiculous warnings! What have we become???

I mowed- I may have even gotten sunburned despite putting sunscreen on. I need to head back out and enjoy the sunshine though.

haaa!! Linda, i have a TON of fillings, but they're all from when i was about 11!

Laurie, the mowing and the tan sound great!
