I woke up in a surprisingly good mood, but uh-oh, I feel it starting to slip a bit. Gary is worried about rust in the oven and Scott is banging on something in the bathroom. I love living in a house that needs updating and no money to do it with /s
Please send good vibes to my house and all major (and minor as well LOL) appliances.

What did I do yesterday? I have no clue.

Well, looks like my day is going to be a fun one, trying to figure out to buy a new oven without giving myself a heart attack/psychotic break/uncontrolled sobbing. And here I have been stressing over the cost of food. To put in the oven. That needs to be replaced. BLERGH!

Back to my day yesterday. Got groceries, did yoga, scrapped a page that still needs to be uploaded. Talked to my mom for a very long time. Dinner was Gary's pizza and then the fam played Thunder Moutain Railroad. Cait kicked our butts

I am off to clean for my friend today, then I have to figure out what to make for dinner. Scott wil be here so our plan is to work on the Lego Pirate ship after that. (What in the world am I going to do when they move out???? )

Rein it in, Faery- you are starting to spiral here. I can tell you one thing I am *not* going to do. I had put Bill Paying on my to-do list today. It can wait until tomorrow.

@LSlycord How was Syd's birthday? Bet it felt amazing to hug her tight.
Your cleaning lady was at your house for 9 hours. Wow. I am hoping that you pay her a flat rate, not by the hour. I always charge a flat rate because some days, I just move faster (read: slower) than others. She must have done a super detailed job and I can only imagine how fresh and sparkly everything is.
Remember how Sally called us her Imaginary Friends? That still makes me smile.

@vickyday That is fantastic that you jumped right into PSE on the Mac. WTG!
Good luck with all of your passwords. If you don't use a password manager, I recommend doing that. I use Last Pass and it has saved my butt more than once.

@BrightEyes wonderful news that the smaller brace is working out. How awesome to be able to get good bread at the Dollar Store. *fingers crossed that DD#3 is able to come to visit when the DSs are down*

@taxed4ever what a cute GIF that is, celebrating March. That sounds very smart to have bailed on the hike, no point in driving that far and then risking slipping in the snow. Have a great swim today and may a lane be open only for you
I am so happy for Scott and Sam too. They went to see Cocaine Bear yesterday and said it was awful and funny and just what they expected.

@Nonni F haha! I like the Days of Our Lives comment. There are times I felt like I needed a chart to figure out the details of what happened with the four of them. And to think, that blurb I wrote was *extremely* stripped down to the basics. The full tick-tock of it is so much worse. It's like-- I wouldn't believe it if I didn't live through it.
When Cait was in her Senior year, I think there were 4-5 bomb threats in Sept/Oct. She would text me the first few times, in panic. Got to the point where no one bothered to take it seriously and that is when it could have been really bad. I don't blame you for panicking over Rae's story and no Bomb Squad in sight. Yikes.

@Cherylndesigns You?? Overdo things??? Never!!!!! (just like me )
I am glad that you weren't sore yesterday. Which challenge are you hosting? I need to go and bug you in there, cause a ruckus if you will.

Yes, memory is always a problem.....not only for the laptops......

Been up for a couple of hours but had to spend an hour on the heated chair massager and with the heated neck pillow and covered with the heavy fleece throw - after I took a pain pill with some crackers. Made the mistake of going to sleep flat on my back with my arms on top of the covers. Didn't move all night so woke up like the Tin Man with frozen joints and ice cold hands!!! I will NEVER go to sleep on my back again!!! Now I remember why I always sleep on my side so I will move during the night. Took me several minutes to sit up and finally stand up. And to make matters worst - the cold front came in early this morning and "Old Arthur" is in fine form!!! Finally got warmed up - then came the challenge of getting out of the upright-recliner. One hand on the arm of the recliner and one hand holding the reacher like a cane to help push me up ... and then I got the giggles ......... Took a few tries in between the giggles to finally make it to my feet. Glad I have a sense of ridiculous and could laugh at myself.
Got some #coffee-2and managed to upload a Challenge LO that I had already made.

@faerywings So sorry to hear about the oven... hope it hangs on for a while longer. Yes, you will miss the kids when they move out. Hopefully it will be one at a time so you can adjust when each moves. I hear you about charging a flat rate for cleaning as you never know how fast or slow you will be moving on any given day.

@LSlycord WOW... 9 hours the gal took to clean your house! I bet it was spic and span by the time she finished. Glad you still a bit of time before the job begins.

@taxed4ever You were smart to not try to go on the hike with the weather as bad as it was. Bet the swimming makes up the missed exercise. Can't wait to see the painting.

@bcgal00 Glad you got the passports started and excellent that they will be in the mail soon with no long trip to pick them up. The cruise sounds so exciting with several land adventures.

Good morning ladies. I've been busy with all the little things involved with our trip. Paying bills and taking Taz to the vet for his flush is this morning and then this afternoon I will go to the dog park. I ordered a new lightweight purse and a small lightweight backpack for D. He'll only use it for the cruise and then it'll be mine for future hikes.

We watched the new episode of Mandalorian last night, so good.

@faerywings Hope you figure out something yummy for dinner.

Good Morning ladies... It is one of those crazy weather days, where the sun is shining but its pouring rain??? How does that happen?? LOL oh well I can see blue sky out there so hopefully the rain stops soon! Fresh snow on the mountain tops, so pretty, but it can stay up there please ! I am off to swimming this morning, but I sure am dragging myself around the house this morning. I had one of those nights where I tossed and turned and my stomach was not happy that I ate far too much at dinner last night. We had a very nice time with SIL and Mark. The Cook and Butcher restaurant in Cowichan Bay was a first for all four of us and we will definitely be going back one day! We had a table overlooking the Ocean and Marina and the food was so very good! It was pretty busy, but the service was great! So nice to see local places busy again with people actually working! Covid has shut down so many wonderful business, its good to see some thriving again! DH is home tomorrow so I will enjoy my quiet morning and hope to get a page done for a pre-release today. Still working on Hunter's painting, its taking longer than I thought, but it seems like there are so many distractions that keep me from spending much time on it. Like a dog that see's a squirrel LOL. Some days I have the attention span of a nat!!

@faerywings - Uggh on having to look for a new oven!! It really never ends, does it!! I hope you can find one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!! I have seen previews for that movie, don't think I will go to that one LOL. I hope your wish for my open lane comes true

@BrightEyes - Ohhh that darn Arthur visiting with you again!! Ughh on waking up stiff as a board and arms and hands so cold!! brrrr!! I love that you have such a good sense of ridiculous about yourself!! Stay nice and warm today and I hope you are able to enjoy some scrapping today!

@bcgal00 - How exciting to do all the planning for your cruise!! I am so jealous!! It will be so wonderful for you both! My brother did the Panama Canal trip a few years ago and it was the best one he ever was on, you will love it! Best thing is you don't have to do any of the cooking!! I need to catch up on the Mandalorian the kids all love it so its nice to be able talk to them about it.

Ok I am off to the pool now, after having a face time with Hunter, they are home from school once again because of the weather and another storm coming tomorrow for them, so most likely they will miss yet another day. How can you get an education when you are never at school?? Anyway I wish you all a wonderful day!

Good luck with finding a new stove. We got our washer/dryer from Facebook Marketplace - it was like brand new and we even sweet talked the guy into delivering them for us. You might look on there. Sounds like you had a fun game night last night.

Kay @BrightEyes sounds like you woke up in a mess! I can just see you trying to figure out how to get out of the chair. Our sofa has recliners on each end and they take some effort to get down - easy up, not easy down. I really had trouble when I broke my shoulder. Hope your pain has subsided by now. Yes, we got passed over by the tornadoes. It's still pretty warm here, but the rain is supposed to start soon and there's a flood watch. We're ok because we're up high, but the roads usually flood down below.

I have some CT work that needs to get done today, so I'd better get off here and get started. Got one LO one last night, but have one to go. My others (including the O) aren't due for a few days. I have another one that posts tomorrow, but it's all done, just waiting.

Good evening. I'm late today. I'm thinking that I may change my routine to stopping in here at night time. We will see how that will work...I've never done nighttime check-ins before.

Busy day...I managed to get a lot of clean up done with computer files. I got my log on information for the new job and lots of procedure manuals that need to be read and reviewed. Then Shaun finished CrossFit and classes so Brian and I took him to lunch with us. In the meantime, got a call from a realtor who has clients looking for a 4 bedroom, 4 bath home with a 3 car garage and pool in our school district. She has a client who used to live in this area and they are moving back this summer from Minneapolis. They are looking for a newer home and there isn't much inventory. So they are going to take a look at our place next week. We would probably sell for the right price. Just don't ask me what we would do next. #crazy

And that was the majority of my day.

@faerywings the cleaning lady did have a fixed fee. She even vacuumed the carpet in the storage closet under the stairs. Plus she made my grout on the tile look brand new. She really was amazing! We did have a good lunch with Syd and it was so good to hug her. We took her back to the dorm after lunch and she said, "I don't want to go back in yet." So we took her to a park and sat and visited for a bit. She is really ready to get done for the year. I think that she is anxious to be off campus next year so that she will have her own room and bathroom. LOL...I hadn't thought about how we are imaginary friends for awhile. I miss those days!

@BrightEyes I am sorry that you were so stiff! But I did have to laugh along as you told about getting out of the chair. I get tickled at myself like that and then I can't accomplish a thing. I'm not sure what I find funny...but I do. I think it was learned from my mom and my grandma...they always found humor in everything!

@bcgal00 I am living vicariously through you as you plan your trip. But you do have a lot to get done and not much time. Hope things fell into place today.

@taxed4ever hope that swimming was good. Love that you were able to FaceTime with Hunter. The restaurant sounds like it was wonderful.

@Cherylndesigns I kind of wish I were a night owl. I used to be an early bird and I loved that but now I'm not all that excited about getting up in the morning. I am still finishing up a few details for my CT commitments...but I'm close.

I made it before Friday!
Spent the day with Ilene and Carolyn. That's always a hoot!
Picked up my new glasses from the eye doctor. They are great for the distance.....but something is wrong with the up close and personal reading. It's blurry! So I've got to go back in the morning for refracting.....whatever that is!
That's all for me for Thursday that only has 7 minutes left!

I so glad the process is helpful! I'm trying to figure out a process with this Mac! I don't have Word! Right now I am putting everything in notes! And I'm finding that the wireless mouse I have doesn't want to cooperate with the Mac. I may have to get a Mac specific one of those! GRRR! I hate changing computers about as much as I hate changing phones!!!!
