hellooooooOOOOOOOO! How are my lOvelies doing today?

I slept pretty good and was I hooked up to my Ringer's IV yesterday, so the shaking is less right now. I spent 7 1/2 hours under my rolling IV pole yesterday. BEST investment ever- even more than my Linus blanket which is saying a LOT!!!! LOL
Most of the time hooked up I was scanning some old pics of Scott for the documentary. Then Gary started going through some old videos of the kids. After that, we called the kids down and we spent 3 hours on the sofa laughing our butts off. It was getting close to dinner time and Cait asked if we could order pizza and keep watching the videos. They were of the kids when Cait was about 15 months to her a little past her second birthday. Scott was 3-4 years old. Cait was cracking me up- I had forgotten how silly they both were and she copied everything that Scott did. Except talk. He talked non-stop and she didn't talk at all. She had the nickname Static because she pretty much made a noise that sounded like static but nothing else. And her hair- Crazy!!!!!
Scott's voice was teeny, and you can see him bossing Cait around. He also had to get the last word in, even back then.

That was a great way to spend some family time. The kids were getting such a kick out of seeing themselves and how how some things haven't changed- like Gary annoying me and me being snippy. ;) Really fun!!!

Today I have to finish getting the house semi-ready for this afternoon. I cleaned the kitchen a bit yesterday and all I have to do is today the dining room. Gary is going to vacuum and we should be good to go.

What plans do you have today -- even if they are "boring?"
I hope whatever you do, it is a good one!!!!

QOTD What funny memories do you have of your kids being goofy? I forgot-- we did see one vidoe of Cait's preschool graduation and my dad was making faces at her and she was making kooky faces back him from the stage. She would be all serious and singing and then raise her eyebrows, cross her eyes. There was also one when we were at my mom's house in PA and we were pulling them around on the sled. She was about 17-18 months old and she was stiff as a board, leaning back on the sled like if she breathed she would fall off. It was also really really really nice seeing our dog again, running around playing with the kids. I miss her, as you all know!

Nancy- good walking! I think I am going to try walking on the treadmill, very, very slowly. It is still too cold up here (23* again and snow tomorrow?ack!) and I don't want to get pooped out and then have to find a way to crawl back home *giggles*
*fingers crossed for your son on Saturday-- how awesome is that!!!!

Sharon- did your haircut come out ok this time? I hope so!
You can do it!! You will beat the LR learning curve (hahah! Freudian slip? I had tyoed "curse" hahah!!!). I know you can!!!

Trudy- how was your dinner with SIL? I hope that her tests come back ok. Did they tell her anything yet?
I can't imagine you selling your house- from all of the pics you have shared it looks like an absolutely beautiful place to live. With the exception of the loud neighbors.

Jean- Hi!!! I heard my "chee-burger" bird this morning-- makes me so hopeful that spring will actually get here at some point.

Gotta fly.... hugs and love!

good morning! Well yesterday was a lazy day. It was so windy that I just was not motivated to go walking. But my afternoon was awesome. Anna Aspnes held her second test class advanced blending. It was awesome learned lots of new tricks to try out. And after the course was over had a mini conversation about do I need more than Photoshop Elements. Of course there are a things that Elements can't do but Anna does the designing so I just have to manipulate her products and that is exactly what the class does. It was fun being in her test classes. Now today I will see if I can put her techniques to use. I do have to go to the store and I really need to walk.

Chris have fun with the documentarian. It is so good of you to be getting the message out!

Sharon hope you don't have to wear you scarf this time!

Trudy good luck to Boston. They are in a real dog fight with Ottawa.

Jean Hi! I am hearing red wing blackbirds.

Have a great day all!

What a GREAT day with your family, Chris. Here's to more of those! :tea:

Hair is much better this time. When I mousse it up, it will be fine.

Yesterday I used LR and PSCC to make a layout. It takes much more time than my old way, and not because of me, but because of the inefficiency of LR and PS working together. You can't just drag and drop things from LR, you have to click CTRL+e to have a LR object open in PS, then click a choice for how you want to use it. This for EVERY element you want to move???? Then when shutting down the project, in PS all you have to do is hit CTRL+w, and all the elements shut down at once. With the new system, I was asked if I wanted to make permanent the changes I had made in EACH ELEMENT, even though I had made no changes. I BAILED! Yes! I cancelled my CC plan. And boy do they make it hard for you to do. You actually have to be in contact with Adobe. I was able to do it via Live Chat, and was not hassled in any way, but you certainly have to take a circuitous route to bail! OH! And I barely made it under the 30-day trial period! Otherwise, I would have had to pay for an entire year. Whew!

Today, I'm going to review The Organizer (which I have always loved). I will use it again for my supplies, and use the Bridge for my photos. Perfect combo for me. I just want to be able to start scrapping again, without fighting to find my stuff! At this rate, I won't get thru the March challenges, which I always try to do.

The Comcast Guy is coming to do some work outside...updating cables or something (nothing we have to be here for, or pay for! YEAH!!!).

After about 4 holes of nerves, DH fell in love with his new golf clubs. So glad.

I'm in the "Advanced" mode, 'cause I wanted to use the emoticon above, so I can't re-read what the rest of you wrote. Hope you all have a great day. I'm heading back to bed with my carafe of coffee, and Patty Debowski's book (Digital & Hybrid Scrapbooking & Card-making with Photoshop Elements). She is The QUEEN of PSE, and I want to review The Organizer since I'll be starting with a clean slate.

oh! QOTD: I can't think of anything off the top of my head about MY kids, but I'm interested that Scott never stopped talking and Cait didn't talk except for a goofy sound. My youngest Utah grandsons are like that EXACTLY! Hopefully Corbin will take a breath, and Preston will start talking! LOL

OH! Trudy, I have another swimming question besides the swim cap question I asked yesterday. I normally wear 14 carat gold (or should that be karat?) with fake diamond stud earrings all the time. I'm thinking of switching to some little cuff earrings as my everyday, all the time, earrings, but they are just 10 K or C gold. Do you wear earrings in the pool? The studs are a cinch to take off and on, but the cuff ones are harder.

Thanks.

Morning ladies... sounds like we are in for a big downpour today and most of the week! We really need the moisture, but I feel sorry for some friends of ours who live on the prairie. They are here on the Island for a vacation and will be stopping by our place for one night before they head back home. They picked the wrong week to travel the Island, it was so beautiful one week ago, too bad they will have mostly :rain: for the entire time they are here! But its better than the snow and minus temps that they still have in Saskatchewan. The last time I saw these friends was at a wedding where my DD met her man. That was 2008!! yikes 7 years ago! It will be so great to see them again! They arrive on Tues. afternoon.

Chris - Glad that you had a great sleep! What a fun time with your family!! Those times are the best and are priceless!! Lunch for SIL does not happen until Saturday afternoon, sorry if I made it sound like it had happened already! Yes the only reason I would ever want to leave my house is because of our lousy neighbours, but I keep hoping that they will sell before we do :becky: DH won't be ready to sell for many years yet! Plus we have no idea where we would want to move to??

Nancy - Yes, hubby is very anxious about his Bruins game tonight and wouldn't you know it, it is the one game that they are not broadcasting here  Not everyone wants to see the Canucks all the time!!!! So he will watch on his computer.

Sharon - Too bad that you found the new CC and Lightroom to be such a hassle! If you would have said yes to making changes to your elements, you might well have lost them!! Sounds like a PITA to me!! Guess I will stick to leaving my scrapping stuff on my EHD. I still want to try to put my O stuff on Bridge though, if I ever get ambitious enough to actually do it!! As for the questions about swimming... Yes I use a swim cap, I have a speedo one, its blue to match my swimsuit and I have blue goggles. Yes very stylish LOL (NOT!!!!) Anyway I got the cap and goggles from Sportchek , but I need to get better googles these ones steam up on me all the time and I have not found anything that works to stop it. The cap is more to keep your hair out of your face and to protect it against the chemicals in the water. It keeps my hair fairly dry, but it does get wet sometimes. I spend too much on my hair getting it coloured and whatnot to have it damaged from the pool so that is why I wear one. Googles are a must, you have to see the idiots that almost run into you LOL!! I also use a cleaner from SwimCo for my swimsuit and rinse it out every time after swimming, it really saves your swimsuit from breaking down from the chemicals in the pool.

Anyway I hope that you find something that you like, I would love to get a new swim cap with something unique on it!!

I was up early with MG and made us both a big bowl of Oatmeal for breakfast yum!! Now to get busy with last minute things for the big O's party next week! It's going to be so much fun!! Hope you will all be there for it! Have a great day O-zies!!

Wow that picture really come out BIG!! LOL

Sharon - If you plan on wearing a swim cap then I would not wear any earnings not sure if they would bother you or not or if they might fall out? Most people don't wear their swim caps down over the ears, i also wear earplugs because I have one ear that water gets into easily and I hate that feeling, the cap does not stop the water from getting into it even if I pull it down over my ears. I don't wear earrings at all and sometimes I even remove my rings, but that is not necessary, I just find it easier to put on my swim cap and I am afraid that I might poke a hole in it with my rings. There is a specific way to put on these lycra caps, they are very tight fitting!!

Thanks for the info Trudy. I may just skip the cap, as I have such short hair, and no coloring. Unless the white part of my hair starts to turn green! =:O I hadn't thought of goggles, but now that you mention it, guess I should go for those too.

Not much happening here today, but maybe we'll watch some of the NCAA basketball games. DH says he doesn't really care, even about the Ohio State game.

Chris, love how the kids and you enjoyed the old videos. So nice that they can already appreciate looking back. DH had our slides scanned and I recently looked at all the ones he has in the category "other". Amazing seeing ourselves back whenever. Also some forgotten plants in the yard. Have a good time sharing with the documentary person.

Nancy, that Anna class sounds amazing. Have fun working with the blending. Hope you get a good walk today. We don't have red-wings in our neighborhood, but they are on territory around. We do have displaying grackles and some singing birds.

Sharon, I'm amazed at all the products you're trying. I don't know any of them, so am very impressed. Sorry the one didn't work out. I know you'll get it all figured out so that it works for you, but how frustrating getting there. Love the LO you did with the "fixed" tree. Glad your DH likes the new clubs.

Trudy, all the care you take with the swimming makes that even more of an accomplishment. Really admire your dedication. Hope the Oscraps party prep is fun for you, definitely looking forward to it.

Take care, all, and have a good one!
