hellooooooOOOOOOOO! How are my lOvelies doing today?
I slept pretty good and was I hooked up to my Ringer's IV yesterday, so the shaking is less right now. I spent 7 1/2 hours under my rolling IV pole yesterday. BEST investment ever- even more than my Linus blanket which is saying a LOT!!!! LOL
Most of the time hooked up I was scanning some old pics of Scott for the documentary. Then Gary started going through some old videos of the kids. After that, we called the kids down and we spent 3 hours on the sofa laughing our butts off. It was getting close to dinner time and Cait asked if we could order pizza and keep watching the videos. They were of the kids when Cait was about 15 months to her a little past her second birthday. Scott was 3-4 years old. Cait was cracking me up- I had forgotten how silly they both were and she copied everything that Scott did. Except talk. He talked non-stop and she didn't talk at all. She had the nickname Static because she pretty much made a noise that sounded like static but nothing else. And her hair- Crazy!!!!!
Scott's voice was teeny, and you can see him bossing Cait around. He also had to get the last word in, even back then.
That was a great way to spend some family time. The kids were getting such a kick out of seeing themselves and how how some things haven't changed- like Gary annoying me and me being snippy. Really fun!!!
Today I have to finish getting the house semi-ready for this afternoon. I cleaned the kitchen a bit yesterday and all I have to do is today the dining room. Gary is going to vacuum and we should be good to go.
What plans do you have today -- even if they are "boring?"
I hope whatever you do, it is a good one!!!!
QOTD What funny memories do you have of your kids being goofy? I forgot-- we did see one vidoe of Cait's preschool graduation and my dad was making faces at her and she was making kooky faces back him from the stage. She would be all serious and singing and then raise her eyebrows, cross her eyes. There was also one when we were at my mom's house in PA and we were pulling them around on the sled. She was about 17-18 months old and she was stiff as a board, leaning back on the sled like if she breathed she would fall off. It was also really really really nice seeing our dog again, running around playing with the kids. I miss her, as you all know!
