It is so darn exciting- finally seeing some weather that I can get behind. It is going to be mid-60s by me and near 70 in much of NJ. It is going to be an awesome day for a walk with Arlene. Yesterday was sunny but still cold especially as I was climbing through the piles of snow to get to the defrosted dog poop. The kids had the fire going and were outside for several hours even after it got dark. Too cold for me, but you know --youth and all that good stuff. They can handle everything better than me. Although, I have disliked being cold for as far back as I can remember. I hated playing in the snow as a kid. I remember crying on the front lawn and wanting to go back inside. I bet anything that my mom gave me the line of "needing fresh air," AKA Mom needs a break from the kids for a bit ha!!
My mom and brother took a quick trip down the shore and I am so excited to go this summer. The pictures that my brother sent to me look chilly but I would take it at this point.
News from Evil Ratties Front: Imogene has figured out how to open the medical cage from the inside. It has a wire handle that you need to push down on to release it from the cage bars. Somehow that darn baby learned how to push it down from inside and then pop the door open to escape. Thank goodness that she did that in front of Caitlyn who then watched her do it two more times so she knew it wasn't a fluke. She rigged it so she couldn't escape and they should be able to go back into the big cage today. I would love to say that by the next time she needs to be in the medical cage she will forget but that isn't how rat brains work. Too smart for their own good LOL
I have some work to do around the house this morning and then meeting Arlene later on after lunch. Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
