Daily Ooo's: Thursday, June 7

GooooooOOOOd morning!!!!! Yup, use of unnecessary !!!! tends to be connected to my dad's plan of "Fake it til Ya Make it" campaign. My head just about destroyed my day yesterday. I muddled along in the morning and ended up taking the Rx at lunchtime. That, in turn, makes me a bit groggy too so I basically got very little done. However, I did finish a scrap page for a challenge that I had started a couple of days ago, so that made me happy.
Had to post this so I could chat with Scott for a minute. He bought an inflatable fishing rowboat and took it out with 2 of his friends last night. I was asleep when he came home so I wanted to see how it was. One of his friends has a dock so they just dropped it on that little lake for a quick run after dinner. Since it is inflatable, it packs up small and he is excited to bring to my parents' lake house soon.


So yeah, yesterday was a blah day. Today I am cleaning this afternoon and am counting the hours until we have nice weather tomorrow.

Felis- this weather is making me sad and I would trade it for hot weather if I could! Did you and Biggie have fun together? I hope that playing and snuuggling with him helped. I soent some time snuggling with Cait's rats the other day. Now that I don't have our morning routine of rats and chats LOL I don't spend as much time with them either.
I haven't seen Olesya's kit- I am going to have to look for it!
The word for children of a cousin is second cousin. Not sure what the words beyond that are, someone who knows genealogy would have to help with that. I wonder if we know anyone like that? :noidea: hah!!!
A nephew is the son of a brother or a sister.

Caitlyn has played around with makeup since she was 2-3 years old, and loves being able to create a different persona with it. But ITA she is beautiful no matter what makeup she is wearing or none at all.


Trudy- That stinks about the grands having to move around so much. I hope that they settle and resettle easily. It is so strange to me, since my parents still live in the house that I grew up in. This house is only the third that I have ever lived in (not counting college).
I hope that you had a really nice day and that it felt good to be home, and not missing the family too much.
My mom has had her "new" CRV with all of the same bells and whistles for a year now and she is still getting used to some of the drive assist modes.


Rae- hope that you accomplished everything that you needed to do yesterday without pushing yourself too much. Was the second MRI done to compare to the first? I hope that it shows improvement. xoxo

good morning I was absent yesterday as I had an early morning hair cut and color. Came home ate and then just cleaned. Then went to dinner with my girlfriend and her daughter and her boyfriend. I was picked up in her daughter's brand new Nissan Murano. As Trudy said yesterday about the Jeep this one too has all the bells and whistles and it too stops itself. It is beautiful but too big for me. She is so happy as it is her first new car all her own. The to reward myself I watched more of 13 reasons. I need to know how this season ends and now I see that there is going to be a 3rd season. I am liking this season a lot but darn it sure makes we want to stay up late and watch. This morning up early to get all the trash out and then clean some more. My DH is home and he to is cleaning. I feel so good about how it is looking but lots to still do. I have to go do a few errands. Tonight it is possible to be the last hockey game of the season. If the Caps win its over. But I would like to see the Knights win one more.

Chris the weather is the pits. But once we get through this weekend it looks like we can really finally get some nice weather. Glad that you got Cait's face taken care of. A few stitches and she does not need make up as others have said. I have beautiful silver hair but so even though it was fine I felt the need to color it so I understand her feelings and sometimes it is just fun to change looks. Feel better!

Trudy the quiet is nice. Glad they found a nice house to rent. And I am not good at change so I find it so amazing when kids that do move a lot learn how to make friends and it sounds like your grands are pretty cool and very resilient. Good parents and good grandparents!

Felis I could use a bit of your heat. And yes my SIL will just be glad to visit. It has been hard to keep in touch when we live so far apart but it is nice that we are reconnecting.

Rae glad hope the news on Bailey is good! Hang in there and sending hugs! The fact you are so good at organization is just amazing!

Good morning, ladies. I managed to stay on top of things yesteday and even baked up some muffins for me which have no sugar and lots of fiber (nut flour, flax, banana) and today I'll make another batch but add in some maple syrup and chocolate chips for B. I've been taking her a small bag of popcorn on each visit to eat while we watch a movie so now I'm making smaller muffins to bring her so as not to overdo it with the carbs for her. If her carbs are too high its hard for the nurses to keep her blood sugars at a good level as they don't have time to test and adjust as we would normally do at home. So we are trying to respect that (even though I think they should be testing her more often). One nurse was really nasty to B's dad's GF when she brought up Burger King food for her. I think they must just get so fed up with people bringing bad food in for the patients all the time so they get frustrated. They love me b/c I bring all low carb healthy stuff

Chris - your daughter is gorgeous so makeup or no makeup....she's stunning, but how fun to play around with makeup, I did too when I was younger but nowadays I find it so freeing to not wear any. I used to spend hours experimenting and playing around with it. How fun for Scott, getting the inflatable boat! Hope you are able to relax today and feel better.

Nancy - I don't like big cars/SUV's either. I have a small Optra and love it. D keeps asking me to sell it and buy a new car (bigger, with more power, more bells & whistles) but I'm happy with my little putt-putt and will drive that as long as I can. It's almost 8 yrs old so I know I'll have to replace it at some time in the next few yrs but will buy another small car, especially with the gas prices now, economical is a key factor for me.

Hope everyone has a great day. I'm heading to the hospital this afternoon for movie time with B. So, I'll get to work now so I can hopefully keep on top of it.

Sorry ladies I have to just post that I miss chatting with all of you, DH is home today and tomorrow and we are hauling truckloads of dirt today to build up the front yard in one area. So needless to say I am busy with that all day today! I have facetimed with Heather and Hunter and that took up most of my morning. Slept like a log last night in my own bed and so feeling more rested than I have been the last few days. Anyway no time to spend in here today I hope that soon I will catch up with everything and actually get to do some scrapping again. Wishing all of you a good day and hopefully I can spend more time here soon! :wave:

Good morning girls,
I had a lovely morning with my friend watching Humans. She likes much the book I was took for her and she was surprised. Offered me to read it after her, but I explained that I'm get one for me too, because it wouldn't be a gift if I expect to use it sometimes in future. She answered me that she wasn't think in that direction, but it have sense .
Yesterday (Thursday) was drizzle and very nice day, so I spend most of my free time at the garden, and I'm fall asleep watching TV, so planned to come here but never did.
I'm sad that Courtney's Designs will be retired, because is one of my favorite designers!

Trudy, what flowers you choose for this corner of your front yard? I know how hard was for your son to sell his boat, so it's at least little solace to have this new car. Is it necessary kids to start and then quit school at Toronto, aren't be more easy to be homeschooling?! But from other side this will keep them chance to make more friends. And will train their social skills.

Nancy, you made me so curious about 13 reasons why. If first follow the book, for who are next two seasons? Unfortunately it's not realized here yet, so I'll have to wait until it comes. Did the hockey season ended?! What that's mean, no hockey till when?

Jean, I totally understand you! I feels at the same way, only regular tasks here, no much for chat and I finally have to scrap these weekly pages but don't know from where to start.

Rae, I often think for you and B today. Hope this MRI results to clarify the situation and gives right direction for the new treatment. My mom was sanitarian at the local hospital and yes nurse takes it personally when the family of some patient underestimate their diet prescriptions. Also no one like to have keep and hold fat patient till change their sheets or wash them. But this could't not apply to B. I think I'm told you this before, but if you want to win nurse on your side bake things for them too, or let chocolate candies or something. It have big difference do you care for someone just formally because this is you job or because you have personal sympathy .
