It is a gorgeous sunny morning, I hope that it stays this way longer than it did yesterday. By the time I signed off here and cleaned up the kitchen, the weather turned grey and gloomy. It was humid outside but it didn't get too hot inside even with the oven on for hours.

The cookies came out really delicious. We only made one batch (6 dozen) which feels crazy since we usually triple it. Some went into the freezer for when we do Christmas in July Theme night. And yes, we did have Christmas music playing while we did that.
We picked out next theme and the kids are extremely excited for this one-- Halloween Night. Cait and I are going to search for some recipes for food and drinks today. I bet the pics from that one will be awesome. I started another page for the Specific Photo challenge and I had photos for it already-- Food or beverages- so I am scrapping Disney Theme Night.
We watched President Obama's town hall last night on police reform. Man, I miss him. I didn't agree with all of his policies *cough Yemen drone strikes for one cough* but to hear him speak made me feel like there is some hope.

Today is my town's protest and OMG I want to be there. I know that I can't but I wish I could I said to Gary that statistically speaking, outdoors wearing a mask makes it statistically unlikely that I would catch COVID. But statistically unlikely is not a guarantee. Not to mention if I went out, that would set Scott back two weeks from seeing Leah again. But darn it, I wish there was something I could do.
If the weather stays good, I am sure I will be out in the yard. I also need to make a card for my brother's b-day which is Saturday.

That is about it.

Gratitudes:
-sun and warm weather!

See their cute little noses? Crazy babies.
They are continuing to heal, most of the glue is gone from the incisions and they should be good to move back into the big cage this weekend.

Nancy- the storms came through a little bit after I woke up because when I got up yo use the bathroom, I could see the flashes of light but no thunder yet. Once I got back into bed-- boom! We had more storms as I was falling asleep last night too.
How sweet to see the fawns! And your rhodo is blooming... mine too. Has the city been pretty quiet where your DH works? It is crazy how the crowds keep getting bigger every day. They seemed very peaceful until curfew again last night. I am so worried about the spike in cases though. The protests are so important (and worldwide!) but my goodness, I worry.

Trudy- My heart is melting! How fun to go on a tricycle ride with Hunter. That boy is adorable. Weeee! All of your grands are and do you know if Mason is going to get the turtle?
How hard will it be to paint the inside of the glass cabinets? I think it would look better/uniform but you would have to figure out if it would be worth it.
We started banking Christmas cookies in the beginning of quarantine so this was just a continuation of that.
Props to Jonah for getting the gift for Mason. I know you would have felt terrible otherwise.

Felis- congrats on the radish harvest! That is one veggie I was never fond of but I bet they taste great when you grow them yourself. especially in the salad. I am happy that you are enjoying your book!
I liked P&P&Zombies. I reread P&P before I read the spoof but I am not an Austen fan so it likely didn't bug me as it did for you.

Better get going. Hugs!!!!

Morning ladies... It was sunny when I first got up but now the clouds have moved in and looks like they will stick around for awhile. Today I am painting the front of the Island, the rest is pretty much done, except for around the wall oven. That will have to wait until DH can be here to help move it out far enough to paint around it. Now I am wondering what will I do when this is all done??? LOL I will find something else to work on I am sure. I have neglected my other painting and I will also have to make a card for my sister who is having a birthday at the end of June. Our Mason is 7 years old today and I have spent the past 45 mins with him and his brother. They have the bouncy castle set up on the front yard and balloons out the front with a sign for cars to honk when they go by. It was cute we counted quite a few while we were talking. He is excited to open his gifts, but will have to wait for his Dad to get home from work first. However he was allowed to open one from me and his Grandpa (he calls Gary Pops). It was 750 water balloons with a pump to fill them, so he will be busy making lots of water balloons today!! A perfect day for them as it is already very, very warm there and clear blue skies today. I bet they will be in the pool for most of the afternoon!

Chris - Isn't it strange that we could not see the photo yesterday and yet today it is right there!!! Yes I do believe that Mason will get his turtle, but not until the weekend when his other Grandparents will be there, they will be giving it to him. He will be one happy little boy!! Just hope it lives longer than the turtles I used to have when I was a kid! We went through quite a few of the poor things  You must be having so much fun with all of your theme nights and I bet that all of you are excited for your Halloween themed night! The cookies sound like they are delicious and glad it did not make your house too warm with the oven going for so long! Enjoy your lovely warm sunny day, hopefully the clouds stay away today!

Felis - I love radishes too!! They do taste so much better when you have grown them yourself! My Gary loves them even more than I do and takes them in his lunch to snack on at work. I hope that you enjoy your reading, but also hope that you can find some time to do some scrapping soon too! Have a lovely day!

Ok I better get my morning things done and get busy with the painting of the Island. Have a great day everyone!!

Hello just two girls!
It's very quiet here today, where are all? And it's not even vacation time yet.
I just hope that the nasty things happening right now at the world aren't upset them so much to not want to talk!
I'm not sure that I have much to share, same old, same old comfort routine, for which I'm very grateful! But I couldn't skip the chance to comment rats photo.

Chris, they are so funny making something as pyramid! And what cute hammock they have!
ugh, sorry but you knows my opinion about the protest in generally, stupid excuse to be vocal for people who are too lazy to be real volunteer for some cause. Better stay safe, dear!
Hey, you didn't told me did Cait liked the singer I was suggested for her? I don't mention his name as he probably google himself, as every young artist and I don't want this to bring him directly here. Or this music is too candied for her taste? Oh, my, I see him to fit to her interests so much, with his sunset IG stories, and now protesting action, and live close to you. But that's not mean she will like his music, of course. However this time I have suggestion for Scott, brand new EP, and I think they fit to young man's music tastes. Link Here.
LOL, I scraped Disney Theme cups, for the same challenge. I wanted to do that for so long, but never found inspiration, so I'm very happy with this challenge now. I'm not surprised that your family is so excited about Halloween Night. And it's sounds fair if have Christmas in July, to have also Halloween in June.

Trudy, yes, my page is ready and posted. I can't explain it, but when I read your post it gives me some push to put this in my daily tasks. And as I figure out now with Chris we are chosen similar subject LOL ! Ouch, I have similar experience with turtle, but I guess when you are young your parents can secretly replaced it with other and to excused it difference in habits with post reaction of visit to the vet. Yep, I could be awful parent! But at least my kid will have the same turtle until his graduation age :tongue1: .
Happy birthday to sweet Mason :party: ! Hope they'll enjoy the party! I can imagine lots of laughs during water balloons fight, such a clever idea for warm weather!

OK, hugs and  to the others!
