Good morning and welcome to Thursday.
Maybe, just maybe we might get through 24 hours without rain :please:.
I can't tell if it is cloudy or more of the smoke haze right now. But it isn't supposed to rain and that is a big plus on my side. I am keeping my fingers crossed that if it dries out a little today, Gary and I can go for a hike tomorrow since it's been weeks since we did. I want to break in my new backpack :D

Yesterday was a good day, several small victories for me. I am still bagging and boxing up clothes and household items to donate to the Vets and get this... I got a large bag of Gary's clothes packed too! Every time I asked him to do that, he blew me off. I took it upon myself to pull a bunch of jeans and shirts out of the closet, put them on the bed, and let him choose what to keep-- and he only kept two shirts.
Another victory was the septic tank. *sigh of relief* The guy said that the tank itself is fine but if we are finding it is filling too quickly, just pump it every year. Whew!!!! I'll gladly spend $300 a year over replacing the septic which is $50K. This time next year, I expect it will just be the two of us here. Fewer showers/dishes/laundry so that will help too.
[heart breaks a bit]

I am going to be puttering about here and doing yard work this afternoon. I think I am making falafel tonight. I have to pump myself up to do it- they are so delicious but time-consuming. I haven't made them in a really long time but after having one from a deli a few weeks ago, I have been craving them non-stop.
Oh wait, I think I need to soak the beans-- yup. Just checked the recipe, so that will be tomorrow.

Temptation on Thursday:
Now I am tempted to run out and buy falafel for lunch LOL!

@vickyday Sorry to hear that your septic is a PITB too.
My parents had an absolutely awful time with Lowe's when they bought their new door. Months of aggravation- they ordered the wrong door, overcharged them, and messed up the installation. That is so aggravating that you are dealing with that now. So sorry :(

@taxed4ever I am really sorry to hear about your brother. It has to be terribly sad to see him like that. And how scary that he was wandering around town.
Happy birthday to my b-day twin, Pam! You and your sisters must have had a wonderful time on your deck, chatting and enjoying the view.
The 36 sleeps will be flying by!

@Cherylndesigns Ugh, 104* is *hot* I like the heat but that is waaaay too hot for anyone. I feel terrible for the people who have to work outside. I read an article that in TX workers aren't allowed to take water breaks? That can't be right. :(
I am cheering your bean-babies on. Keep on flowering!
I'd love to put Ava and Sam in a room together and see what they could do. Dynamos!!
How did they do on the trip? How wonderful to see Kinleigh, I can't believe she is 2 1/2! I bet you cannot wait to snuggle her up.

@Nonni F Haha! Love that kitty b-day card! Thank you!
The rain has been awful, I am glad that I don't have to drive in it but I worry when all of my kids do.

@bcgal00 great news that you got PS working again. Enjoy your hike this morning and hope you get in the pool today too.

Good Morning,
Positivity is back today! Our guy, Chris, got the freezer yesterday. He apologized all over himself about forgetting about us the day before. I forgave him, LOL! And the door "damage" he noticed was not the same thing as the problem with the door we saw. He saw something in the seal at the top of the door where the "hinge" is. He didn't even notice the corner of the door being mashed in! I don't feel so bad now, LOL! Anyway, I need to call Lowe's in just a few minutes to make sure they have a new freezer on order to be delivered to us. Hopefully before we go on vacation next week! But I'm doubtful! Chris said the Supervisor was going to take care of getting it ordered yesterday. We shall see!

So, my tummy and headache are better today. The tummy problems, I think, were from fretting about the freezer. The headache......well, typical for me, I think. It finally eased up some yesterday and I don't have one yet today.....knock on wood!

My daughter is coming at 10 and we are going to hit some thrift stores in the area. I'm not looking for anything, just want to check out a couple I haven't been to before. But any time I get to spend with my daughter is good!

Other than that no plans for the day.
Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning - don't faint that I'm on here this early. I had a terrible night and hardly slept at all, so I finally gave up and just got up. My restless legs came on me with a vengeance starting with we were watching TV last night. I never got rid of them ALL night! I even had restless arms - Chris @faerywings doesn't Gary have restless arms? It about drove me crazy! I have NO idea what brought them on and if I figure it out, I won't do it again. I have a prescription from my doctor and he recently doubled it but it did nothing for me last night. I even took a half a pill extra at one point. If nobody has ever had this horrible thing, they have no idea what it's like.

Yes, I'd like to see Ava and Sam together - that would be something. She face-timed us several times yesterday and she said Kinley talked non-stop most of the way. Adrienne said it was payback because Ava never stopped talking when she was little. She talked and talked and talked. They got home about ten last night, but I'll see her today. They were wiped out and still had that long drive home from the airport. Ava said Kinleigh kept taking things from the stores and running off with them. She had to chase her and bring the things back. I said "Baby Klepto". I guess she kept Ava on the run that whole 5 hour layover. Kinleigh was just sitting in that airplane seat chattering away when we face timed. Ava bought her travel toys, but I guess she still chattered.

I can't believe she's 2 1/2 either. Time sure does fly. Her mom had pictures on FB of them meeting Ava at the Detroit airport, but she didn't make them sharable, or I would have. She was SO excited. Today should be a full one. Casey comes to clean and I'm going to Adrienne's to keep Kinleigh occupied for a couple of hours while she works. As soon as Casey's done, we'll probably come back here. Me, running on no sleep - wish me luck. Maybe I can get a cat nap in at some point. I know I'll hit the wall sooner or later.

I'm going to go and get me some tea and try to stop back in. I don't know what time I'm going up to Adrienne's yet - it will depend on how tired Kin is and she has to take a nap too. If Casey wasn't coming I'd take one. Probably won't happen today.

Hugs

Good morning. Sorry I didn’t get in here yesterday. I don’t know if I will ever get to a “normal” schedule. It seems not.

But life is good so I’m going with that and letting go of perfection which I never came close to achieving anyway.

The cardinals come every morning. And several times during the day and I am in love! Syd asked what I was doing after standing at the window for about 5 minutes and I told her watching cardinals. She asked “what is wrong with you anymore”.

She and I are going to Tampa for the weekend. I guess that travel bug bit hard. I’m fine with that.

Joey is making progress on my office. The lanai is screened and I love it but the rain still pours in. So now we are buying gutters. Good grief!

Anyway, nothing much new around here. My niece and her two year old son are going to make a paper chain while they wait for us to get there. I guess I rubbed off on her.

I have a plan to get back here later for personals but no promises.

Morning ladies... I am quickly posting here this morning as I have to get to the Dentist this morning. Just a checkup and cleaning, but still I really don't like going to the Dentist! (does anyone??). Then this afternoon I have a pedicure, so that will be nice to just get pampered a bit. I am finally using some of my GC from Christmas, from my Gary. I will still have some $ left over, so maybe I will treat Heather to a Pedi or Mani while she is here. It is the last day of school for Mason and Hunter and they are having a beach day theme for their last day. They are very excited to start summer holiday! Anyway I really need to get ready to go, why I scheduled a early morning Dentist Appointment I will never know . I will try to get back here later today, but like @LSlycord said, no promises LOL. I hope you all have a lovely Thursday!! :cowwaving:

Happy Thursday, Everyone! I spent five hours in a chair today and it was worth every second! (though, there I was inside, on the first day in I don't know how long, without rain)

@faerywings I'm not a fan of driving in the rain but thankfully my work commute is only two miles.
@LSlycord Not only do I also love watching cardinals, they are my cat, Thea's favorite bird. I always know when one is in the yard because it is the only bird she barks and talks to. (yes, my cat barks)
@Cherylndesigns I wish you peaceful, uneventful, PEACEFUL legs tonight.
@vickyday so glad your tummy feels better and the freezer has been taken care of.

I hope everyone has a great night.

PEACE

I have restless legs sometimes at night. Sometimes I just have to get up. After walking around a bit it seems to help. I certainly don't have it as bad as it sounds like you have to deal with. :hug4:

Oh, Vicky, it's horrible! I had it SO bad last night and I'm not even sure what brought it on. I used to watch my mom walk the floor at night with hers. My 2 sisters have it worse than me and even my brother has it. It's definitely hereditary. I'm dotty you hsbr yhrm - nobody can haven't experienced it. I don't even think my husband totally understood until one of his executive friends told him how terrible they were. He's the one who put me onto Pramipexol. It's actually a drug for Parkinson's but they found out that it works for RLS. Last night it didn't work.
