Hellooooo, my O fam!
How is everyone today?
Our first day out of school was kind of a bust LOL
We made it to the beach around 11, it was cloudy and cold. Drizzled here and there. By 2 I was done! Cait wanted to saty w/ her BFF so I let her do that.

And wouldn't you know it- as soon as I got home... the sun was out, it got hot.... not fair! hahahh!

Today we are off to the kids dr. Gary didn't sleep again last night, finally dozed off around 5. So I have to give my mom a call to see if she take the trip with me.

Dawn, aw, poor little guy- hope Davy feels better. And yeah, no fait that the other lady can stay out for pink eye.

Andrea- hope that you are feeling better and the kids too. sending virtual chicken soup :) Oh, and you better get your nose cleared out soon :D-- your order shipped yesterday so you should have it soon, and I know you'll want to be able to smell it LOL

Tali- we miss you too! Can't believe the boys are going to be 2! That is really sweet of you to help that mom. I always think that if something bad that I have been through can help someone else, it makes it worth while.

Sally- I really really wished I lived near you- I could use a country club day! Hope that yours was a blast as always!

ok, gotta get off the computer, and wake the kids and call my mom but I am going to try to be back for the rest of personals before I head out for the day.

xoxoxo

back for a few- just got off the phone w/ my mom (she rocks) Scott is in the shower, Cait is getting dressed and we'll be on the road in a bit.

Karen, good to see you again! Just as an FYI ( and not to freak you out) but there is so much mis-information out there re: Lyme. Lyme is in all 48 contiguous states, and there are different strains of the bacteria found in Europe. There are also different co-infections that can be transmitted dependent on location as well. So just keep an eye on him and if he starts running low grade fevers, complains of joint pain, seems to be flu-ish and/or gets a rash... please have him checked out. Lyme is so much easier to treat when it is caught early. The biggest problem is that so many drs don't know all that much about it and it gets either ignored or misdiagnosed.
Again, not trying to freak anybody out, but if I can help one person or family to not go through this... I would do just about anything I can.

ME- LOL at Christian- stop the car-- that cracked me up! And yeah, I think UP would be good as a DVD/rental. We didn't see it in 3D, and I think if I saw it that way, I'd be so nauseaus (i know I killed the sp on that!).

Wow Linda- how scary about your mom, I wish that parents would take better care of themselves- but I can understand hardheaded, got a few of them right here!
Thanks for the hugs! and back at you all
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((O-fam)))))))))))))))))

Sara- Oh no!!! Jos and Sally together---- it would be a shiny happy world for sure!! Every day would be a good Monday LOLOL!

Tali- sending good healing thoughts to your FIL.

And now I really have to go....

Love you all, and I'll be back tonight I hope

Morning all!

Chris I'm sorry about the beach. That's too bad. Hope the appointments go well today. Soooo glad you have your mom there!

Well - the highwater came last night, so I couldn't put the trash out last night. But the rain stopped well before this morning and DH has the trash out by the curb. It's sunny and bright today. I need to straighten up and possibly get some pictures for a coworker who wants to have pics scanned in for her daughter's wedding video. Her son is doing the actual video, but she asked me yesterday if I could scan in the pics. I also need to get socks for Ben. Such a weird errand, but most of his socks are either too small or too heavy. I also might try to find him some sandals. I bought him cheapo ones that he hates that don't fit.

I hope everyone has a good day! I'll check back in later. =)

Hi ladies!

It's Thursday - say it with me - aaaaaaah! Only one more work day left this week (well, after we get through today, that is!). One day of work for me next week then we're off to Nova Scotia! Woo hoo!

Chris - thanks for the info. I'll keep a close eye on him. The place where the tick latched on seems to be healing nicely.

Linda - swimming, ah. I hope to do a little of that when we go to the lodge while we're in Nova Scotia. We just don't seem to manage to fit it in any other time!

Sara - glad to hear the rain stopped. I know what you mean about needing to get socks. Both DH and DS need them!

Have a great day!

Wow- I'm so far behind and have missed out on so much here at the O! I've decided that I "need" to get back in the habit of stopping off here to check on all of you lovely people!
So - where have I been? Crazy busy, that's where! :) spring is nuts for me with school, competitions, end of year awards banquet, planning for the next year etc! Some of you may remember that our school was considering moving to a block schedule for the 09-10 school year......well, the decision was finaly made and we are struggling through the scheduling process. I've been working on plugging kids into the schedule, one at a time, making sure they have all their required courses and that they are getting placed in the classes that they want to take. Four of us worked from 9-5 on Monday and got half way through the junior and senior classes! Still A LOT of kids to go yet.
Our weather has been a pain! Raining all the time. It seems like I am mowing the lawn every time the sun does manage to come out. We mow 4 plus acres, so it takes a while! The garden is currently masquerading as a bit of a weed patch, but I spent most of yesterday in it pulling weeds and "finding" the plants I wanted:) Maybe today the soil will be dry enough to get in there with the tiller and get the undesireables tilled in? We'll see. We had strong storms and tornadoes again last night in parts of the state. Hope you are ok down there Tali!?!?!
Jenna is finally home from Stanford! We picked her up at the airport on June 9th! She had a great year, super grades, rowing went really well - their team won the NCAA championship! It's so nice to have her home! The rest of the girls are busy with work and activities, so it's a mad house, as usual around here!
On the scrapping front, I entered a few design challenges last spring. Since that, I have been asked to join a few shops! So I'm trying to get some designing done more often and get things uploaded to the stores. My new store opens sometime after July 1st! I'll keep you posted.
Now off to read some daily O's and see if I can catch up a bit.

Sorry to have been gone for so long! Missed you all!

Hey everybody! Look, I changed my avi so everybody knows my first name! Yay!

Alright, still feeling somewhat poorly, we are all coughing and just tired. But we're getting there. Yesterday I just watched movies Netflix all day. I watched Man on Wire, anybody see that one? It's about a french highwire walker who, with a team of his friends, managed to secretly string a cable between the World Trade Center towers and walk it. Good gravy!

This morning was awesome because I got my new kit from Danielle Young. I won the custom kit contest, and received my Amate kit this morning. I'm so excited, it's beautiful! Everybody should go check it out! I'm itching to play with it.

Re: Up. I haven't seen it, haven't been to a movie theater in... oh, about 4 years. LOL but we'll rent it. Is it sadder/scarier than other kid movies? My son Quinn used to sob during The Lion King, but then he wanted to watch it every day. LOL Also, I remember watching Benji-the Hunted on tv with him, and a hawk flies away with a mountain lion cub. Quinn asked us where the kitty went, and we told him that the hawk was going to eat him. He just got quiet, and 5 minutes later we found him in the other room with his head down, just crying. So sad! We had to tell him that the bird brought the kitty back to make him stop crying!

Anyway! Holy cow, long story much?

LindaPete - congrats on a daughter at Stanford!! My son would like to go there someday, but doesn't have the grades. He's smart enough, but.. well.. lacks the motivation. Right now he's at KU ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!

Chris- I'm so excited for my goodies! May have to take a special shower to try out the gel! LOL I'm going to email you off list about some scents that I love and am wondering if you have. As for my nose? Well, it's coming back. For instance, I just now smelled something rotten on or about my sweet little daughter so I'd better take care of that LOL

Okay, I'll check back later.

OH and before I forget. Oscrap Designers: THANKS FOR CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY! YIPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!

...loves her some "O"
Morning everyone!!!! I just threw up in the gallery!! i uploaded 5 LOs (too bad the limit wasn't 6!!) that I did last night with the designers' FREEBIES that they are giving away right now!! they are sooo rawkin' awesome!! (the freebies, not necessarily the LOs...although I love those, too!! LOL!!)

So yesterday's country club was great. I stayed in the pool pretty much the whole time so that Lil could swim without her floatie. she does well (7yo), but can't swim the length of the pool, so if there isn't an adult watching her, she HAS to have a floatie on!! It was really warm...mega warm...I'm thinking I'm getting in tonight around 7 or 8pm when the pool is a bit cooler!! We'll see!!

(could I use anymore exclamation points?????)

I love the idea of Jos and me taking over the world!! First rule, EVERYONE LOVES MONDAYS!! LOL!! I know, i'm weird!! It's okay...I've reconciled to that! :)

Chris, i have a book called 5001 Things Kids can do. This is my fall back during the summer!! That and school this year! LOL!! I'm trying to keep a good school attitude so they don't whine as much about it. It's not really working, but we've got to do it...just like dishes and laundry! :) Hugs to you and yours, doll!!

Linda, I so know that "get off of the computer and put my world back together" feeling!! LOL!! Have a wonderful day and don't be too much of a stranger!!

Sara, havea fun errand day today! We have to run up to a dance store (about 25 mins away) to get Cora some Jazz shoes for next week's camp! Hugs!!

karen...OHhhhhhhhhhh Nova Scotia!! Sounds divine!! Don't forget to share pics when you get back!! and enjoy your day before the last day of the week, hun! :)

linda!! I've been missin' ya!! I know how schedules and plans and crazy children can keep us away from our home here!! but I'm so glad you are back!! Ohhh and send some of that rain here!! we are having drought conditions...weird for us...usually June is FULL of rain. I don't think it's rained here for 3 weeks at least, maybe more!! wow!!

Andrea, i'm sooo glad you are getting better!!! I love those movie days!! I've got two in from Netflix right now that I need to see!!! Ohhh, and just wanted to let you know, my parents both graduated from KState (go WILDCATS!!) but I still love you!! :) heehee!!

Ohhhh loook at me!! I'm posting and scrapping and commenting!! Life is GOOD!!!! later tonight I wanna shop a bit in the store!! It's been a while since I've shopped (well, except one spree I had to get Liz's northshore kit!!)...so it's off to the store for me tonight!!

love you all!! :) smile!!! it's good for ya!!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning!! Today is my Friday. I decided to take tomorrow off so that I could get ready for Relay. I have officially met my goal as of this morning. Yahoo!! I didn't realize that many people would support me. It is amazing when you do something like this, you get support from different people than you would expect. It is awesome. One of the things on my list tomorrow is to get thank you cards for all my supporters.

I am hoping that today is a coffee day. I have cut myself off of coffee in the mornings. Part of my healthy eating. Blah!! But if it comes from a drug rep that is okay. So, my fingers are crossed. Last night we went over to a friend's house. She made us Korean food. It was so yummy. She had all the little plates set out with all the little side dishes. Plus the meat is always so yummy. I could live on bulgogi and korean short ribs. Yummm!!

Well, I'd better get moving. I have lots of scrapping that I need to do. I think I have 4 kits I need to use. I should have been working on it already but I'm a bit slow. Ooops!! That will be my mission today.

Chris - I hope the kids' lyme appointments go well. Let us know how it goes. You could use some good news right about now so I hope you get it.

LindaW - I hope you have fun swimming with the kiddos. I hope it makes your heat more bearable. Good luck cutting yourself off of the computer. I don't do very well with that.

Sara - I am so glad you were finally able to get the trash out. With the summer heat really coming at you that would be horrible. Yay for trash day!! That is very cool of you to offer to scan pictures.

Andrea - I'm glad you are feeling better. Although being sick stinks, that is awesome you were able to have a chill day watching movies. The Amate kit is awesome. Congratulations on winning it. I can't wait to play with it myself.

LindaP - So glad to have you back. we have missed you. That is awesome you have all your girls home with you. That is so cool that your designing is working out for you. I wish I had even a little bit of desire to design. I just don't. I love using everyone else's stuff though. You were doing awesome with that design class. I can't wait to see what else you are able to do. Keep us informed.

Well, I am off. I'll chat later.

Sally - I missed you. If I lived in TX anywhere near you I would totally show up for Country Club. How far from Ft. Hood do you live? Ft. San Houston? Those are always possibilities of places we could move to. I'm a bit opposed to the heat down there, but who knows what the Army will do with us. We will see. Awesome work keeping the kids in school over the summer.

Wow! I am just sooooo excited!! Our designers here are just soooo amazing...I got home this evening and found all of these luscious freebies to snag in the shop :). Made for a happy end to the day!

And, if that weren't enough, LindaP found her way hOme :).

Clara-did you get your coffee? Korean food, what you had sounds interesting, I've never tried any. You sound like someone who is willing to try most anything. I admit I am a pretty picky eater .

Sally-, I am picturing you throwing up layouts and fonts .

Andrea-I hope you're getting plenty of rest, that'll get you to feeling better soon, I hope :).

Hi Karen! Hi Sara!

LindaW-how was swimming with the younguns? I hope you had tons of fun! I'm going to a pool party this weekend. I can't wait...except for the swimsuit part, ugh. Oh well. it's at a good friend's house and a bunch of people will be there so it should be a blast. I hope to take lots of pics.

Chris-That stinks about your day at the beach :(. Hope it warms up there soon for you! It's hotter than....well you know...here!

Ona-hope things are going okay for you, I miss ya!

Love and hugs to everyone, I'll hop in and check on y'all tomorrow :).

Dawn - I just love food. My mom always made us try everything and we didn't have to clean our plate. I love all sorts of ethnic foods. At least I love to try them. I don't like them all though...but I'm all about trying them. I wasn't about the fish cakes though. Ick!! The spicy pickles are awesome. I've been snacking on them all night.
