HellooooO! Happy Thursday to you all! I hope that your day is starting off well.
Mine is I think. I have no idea, really. haha- it's a "day." *shrugs*
I had a decent day yesterday, spent most of the afternoon outside. I am really glad that I did since it is supposed to rain on and off for the next week due to some tropical storm/depression in the Atlantic. I needed a break from being inside, Gary's "feeling better" moments didn't last long and he was either napping or feeling crappy and crabby. He started back on his abx last night so that might not change and will likely get worse in the short term. But I can deal with that, BTDT way more than once. :(

I am off to clean this morning and this afternoon I need to boil up some more nectar for the hummingbird, he was at the feeder again last night. I'd like to catch up on some scrapping this afternoon too.
A quiet day for me for the most part.

HAGD!

*grumbles* I am running late... quick personals today

BTW, has anyone seen or heard from @Nonni F I hope she is ok.

@taxed4ever If you heard the stones humming, I hope you stepped back quickly :) The hike sounds like it would be fun.

@bcgal00
I hope it will feel warm and inviting
I bet it is, you are putting so much thought and care into the room and group ♥

@vickyday Good scores on the $1 sweaters! And what a fun afternoon with DD and DGD

@Cherylndesigns love the new avatar
I wish I could scrap as fast as you, I feel like I am getting slower as I get older in everything, including scrapping.

Good Morning!
Another rainy day! It has rained so much this week that the basement is wet again!
Had a great day with my daughter and her daughter. We spent at least an hour at the bin store digging through clothes. Came away with several $1 items. I got a couple of sweaters and they got some doggy outfits and clothes. Then my daughter treated us to lunch at Culver's. Good hamburgers! After we ate she brought me back to the house and we played a game of Qwirkle and Rummikub before they had to leave for home.

Today I am hoping Mark wants to go to lunch as my belly is growling already and it is only 8:30! That is very unusual for me!

Other than that, I've got one more motorcycle page to catch up on for the trips we've made so far this year. We haven't taken any excessively long trips yet. If we get to ride the bike the week of Mark's forced vacation that will be the longest trip so far this year. It depends on what the weather looks like.

That's about it for me!
Have a great day!

Morning everyone and Happy Thursday!! It is a sunny morning, but there is still a bit a smoke haze out there. The lake is like glass and I should be out there, but Kayaking will have to wait until tomorrow morning. I have some things to catch up on around the house and then I am heading out to my fav little craft store, there are a few items I hope to be able to get today. Yesterdays hike was great, the temps were a bit cool when we started out and I am glad that I wore my long hiking pants and not shorts! We did some trekking through some big bushes and long grasses and I was also glad that I sprayed myself with deep woods off before heading out. The stone circle was kind of cool and no one is sure who made it, nothing like the standing stones in Scotland, but still pretty cool. The best guess is that someone was camping out in this spot and spent a lot of time piling up the stones and making the arrow, which is pointing exactly due east, so not sure just what that meant??

We went to one of the hiking members home afterward where we had some snacks and some cold refreshments. The home was lovely and they had an amazing backyard that backed onto a green space, so nice and quiet and private! When I got back home I hopped into the shower to cool down and check for ticks (thankfully none). Then a phone call from SB Windows and Doors, they finally sent someone over to look at my blinds. Turns out it was a simple fix, the magnet had slipped and so he showed me how to fix it if it ever happens again. He was concerned that it was making a bit more noise going up and down than it should, so he said he would let his boss know and they would contact me as to what they want to do. I am not holding my breath!!

@faerywings - So sorry that your Gary is still not doing well! Sure hope he feels a bit better now that he is on his abx. Happy to hear that your hummingbird is back at the feeder, we have not had too many lately, but then there are all kinds of flowers that are keeping them happy! Hope your cleaning job goes well this morning and that you get a chance to perhaps scrap a bit today!

@vickyday - Great score on the $1 sweaters!! Wish I could find some great deals like that! Sorry to hear that it is still raining where you are, we are in for a couple of weeks of sunshine, so we will be praying for rain again shortly, it sure doesn't take long for everything to dry out! Hope you get to go for lunch with your Mark, no fun having a grumbling tummy!

@bcgal00 - You are so busy with your new friends and getting things ready for your book club/game nights! It is so good to hear how busy and happy you are in your new home! Hope it doesn't get to stinking hot for you out there, but at least you have your pool and hot tub to enjoy!

@Cherylndesigns - Love the new Avatar!! I too wish I could scrap as quickly as you do! It takes me forever and a day to get a page done!! I think I have far too many other things on the go and I need to just clear my mind and sit down and enjoy the process!

Well I hope you all have a lovely day and that you get to do something that makes you smile today! Waving :wavinghello: to @Nonni F, hope everything is ok in your neck of the woods!!

Hello, Everyone! I have returned to say hi! Sorry for my sudden disappearance. All is well in my corner... just stepped away, wasn't creating much, and spending most of my time at work and in the garden. Whole bunch of changes at work and they did not go well, to put it mildly. On a positive note... overtime means more money for scrapping. ;) On the rare occasions it's not raining (I feel ya, @vickyday ) I've been spending it working in the yard. The front is looking good, the back forty... is getting there.

I'm wondering who killed the deer that normally does Sunday Brunch at my house. This is the first time in a decade I've actually seen my lupines bloom. Those and my Queen Elizabeth roses that he typically takes EVERY bud off.

@taxed4ever those stones are fabulous. I've always wanted to make something like that in my yard... the circle one that is... goodness knows when I dig there's nothing but rocks. lol

@faerywings thinking of you! I hope Gary is feeling better and today has been a good day for both of you.'

@vickyday you've been riding? Lucky you. I swear it has rained here every single weekend!! I'm envious.
though it may be for the best. I'm talking smack like I'm up for it, but I go back to the orthopedic surgeon about my knees next week. Maybe it's better I've stayed grounded.

Nothing exciting to report in my corner. I hope everyone is well and I have to say, noticing my absence made my day. You ladies are too sweet.

Peace

Yes, I'm singing, "Rain, rain, GO AWAY! And DON'T come back for MANY days!" However, @taxed4ever is correct.....soon enough we will be singing the blues about it being so hot and dry!

Yeah, sounds like it is a good idea for you to stay grounded! Good to see you back!
