The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Happy Summer (Winter to my Down Under O-Fam!) Solstice! And a happy Thursday to everyone.

Please send me all of your strength and patience vibes please. Just from say 8am to 11 am. My kids-- two teenagers-- are coming food shopping with me today. Why?? I have no clue except that they WANT to. I am doomed!!!!! I am sure this is going to be quite the adventure.
*eye roll*

I was hoping to be slightly less stressed this summer but that doesn't seem to be my luck so far. Gary went to the dr yesterday for a physical and was told he has a lumpy prostate. So monday we are off to the urologist. Hopefully its nothing, but he is actually hoping it could be cancer and that this is what is causing the constant nausea. Cure the cancer, and the nausea goes away..... Its all to much....

On the good side, Scott is able to re-take the computer class he failed over the summer, as an online self paced course. How cool! It was $100 and I told him he had to pay half up front, but if he passes, he gets the $ back. He should have no problems passing, content-wise, but he has got to stay on task b/c if he blows it off, I'll kill him!! (JK!!!)

Another hot day here on the East Coast, Real Feel over 100* I hope my client has the a/c on for me today ;)

Gotta run, see if the kids are getting up. I told them if they were not ready and in the car at 8.30, I was leaving without them.

Have a great one, and stay cool!

Morning O fam- woke up at 3:45- but thankfully went back to sleep and didn't getup till 6! Sleeping in on my day off- of course now I feel I have wasted the best part of the day- anyways- working on my list. Chris- you and family are in my thoughts and prayers. We will only have mid 90's here! When I read my emails this am- I found one from MMG telling me how much he loved me and how much I meant to him- tears were flowing. He should be home tonight!! need to force myself to head to the treadmill!

Chris ... it's been a while but mhhh .... you messed up the date ;)
we're june 21st today

*mwah*

Kids are getting up, coffee is in my hand.... :)

Hi Laurie- I agree, sexual harassment and HIPPA, not good way to start the day. Hope the rest of your day was as positive as your attitude!
Yay on the no-clutter!

Phyllis- I have two tomato plants this year, lots of cherry tomatoes coming out and one big regular one, but the chipmunks seem to be nibbling again ;)Can you eat quinoa? I know its a grain but it s "good" one. I have a recipe for a quinoa, feta and spinach dish.
Shish kabobs.....
Broccoli rabe with a bit of crumbled sausage....
I'll keep thinking.

Trudy- enjoy your summer weather!

heather- I can't imagine your mojo ever leaving you! If I only had a teeny fraction of your talent and creativity I would be thrilled forever!

Donna- Hi! Good for you exercising. I look at it this way- typing makes my fingers strong bwhahahaah!!!!

Yum- look at all of the good recipes you are sharing!

Heather- I ama big fan of apple cider viengar- I bet if you made a body splash of water and ACV it might take some of the itching and irritation away.

Temptation on Thursday:
I have two options for my temptation today-- sneak out of the house and leave my kids home, or give them $100 and tell them to go food shopping for me!!! I hope we can survive for a week on gummy bears, pop tarts and hair spray

Chris, i am laughing imagining you at the grocery with the two teenagers. i never let anyone grocery shop with me. i zoom through the place like a madwoman, and i don't want anyone slowing me down. the news about your Gary is distressing. tests and more tests, then waiting and more waiting. i sure hope it all goes well. prayers for all good things coming your way.

Laurie, you should have called me. honestly, i was awake MOST of the night last night because it was so doggone HOT. it was cool-ish outside when i was trying to sleep, but the air inside the house was still 76 degrees, and all i did was toss and turn and swear. hope you have an excellent day and aren't too sleepy!

Heather, what does prickly heat look like? i've been online to look, and nothing looks like the weird prickly thing i have going on on my arms. a rash that looks like little teeny blisters (not broken or weeping) in a roundish cluster, and they itch like MAD, when they itch, which is not always! your description of the itch was perfect. honestly, isn't prickly heat monstly for kids?? why the heck are we having to put up with this nonsense??

yawn...another day of waiting for the workman who is supposed to be here "first thing." the rules for actually BEING the "first person on the list" must be written in the 4 Dimension or something. if the "first thing" time begins at 8 a.m., and i'm first, shouldn't that mean that they come to my house at 8 a.m.? just sayin'.... so i'm stuck here until this phone jack repair actually happens. after that, i have to go back to the Mall. another Great Niece was born a few days ago. gonna buy something Girlzie.

have a great Thursday! do something you love.

I have no idea what the prickly heat looks like P, I don't get the rash and I only get it when I work out! It does go away after a bit, but it sure hurts for a while!!
Today I am having coffee with a girlfriend that I haven't seen in a long time, then I am going to do a layout with the beautiful new Artplay coming to the store tomorrow!!!

Morning everyone... Up early to do another 4hr shift today. I am lovng my new hrs!! Went for a long walk after work and came home to scrap, but ugghhh no mojo yet so no layout :pout: I did however almost complete my family tree poster. Just a few final adjustments and another phone call to my Aunt Betty ( the keeper of the family history) to get a middle name and then I think I can send it to the printers!! I am sure that there will be some errors or something that one of the family members does not like about it, but oh well... next time they can do it, right??

Chris - I vote for taking off grocery shopping without the kids :heh: your grocery bill will be better for it I am sure!! LOL Hope your client has the house cool for you, don't know how you clean in that kind of heat?? Keeping my fingers crossed for your Gary!! The last thing you want to have to deal with is cancer!! to you and your man and sending healing thoughts to your whole family!!

Laurie - Wow!! Sounds like that man of yours really misses you!! You better hang onto him tight!! Hope you enjoy your day off!!

Dumpty - good thing that you keep our Chris on her toes!!

Phylis - Darn those repair guys!! Don't they know how impatient us woman get?? Do they think we have nothing better to do than hang around all day waiting on them?? :mad2: Hope he comes soon and you can get on with your day! :D

Heather - Nice to see you here!! When are you planning your next trip to Tofino?? Let me know so we can perhaps meet up.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the summer weather!!

Morming!

Raining here and very dark and dreary and I'm enjoying it. Staying in my PJs and cleaning and baking this morning and maybe will run errands later............if I feel like getting dressed!

Chris- happy shopping and I'm keeping you in my thoughts as your husband goes to that dr. appt.

Laurie- Hope you get that 'to do' list 'to done.' What a nice email to find and hope you save it.........and scrap a page too.

Phylis- Hope they show up early for you so you can move on to fun stuff like buying the 'girlzie' gift!!

Trudy- that is such an accomplishment of a family tree poster. Too funny about someone not liking something. That always happens doesn't it. have a good day.

Enjoy your sunshine or rain today!
Donna

hey Trudy its not definite but I we may be coming out in August, I'll let you know. Maybe we can meet at Coombs? Is that far from you?

Coombs is about an hour and 1/2 from me, but my SIL is living in Parksville , that would give me a good excuse to get up to see her. As long as its not the long weekend in August, that's our big family reunion.
