Good morning to all you Party People enjoying Day Six!
:clubparty:

man, oh man, oh man- I don't want to think about June being halfway gone. Eeep. However, I know someone who is very happy about it-- Linda! One more sleep!!

I was busy almost non-stop yesterday but thank goodness, I had a much, much better day, in spite of it being a Bill Paying Day. :knifehead:
That always is discouraging but I have a roof over my head and food in the fridge. When Scott got home in the afternoon, we asked what he thought of the rentals- his response: "Garbage." :( That gave me the chance to talk to him and Gary about what was going on inside my crazy-brain the day before. They were all very understanding and supportive. Scott kept saying that both he and Sam want to stay close and that he plans on coming over for dinner often. :heartpumppink:

After dinner, we played a *wild* game of Pictionary. Gary and I got our butts kicked. Although, we did almost catch up the Scott and Caitlyn toward the end. We were maybe 10-12 spaces past Start and they were more than halfway around the board at one point. My first drawing was Hermit, and I tried to do Sounds Like: Kermit (the Frog) but let's just say that my drawing of a Muppet frog made my chicken-footed werewolf look like a masterpiece :rotfl:

Scott, Gary, and I are going to my parents today. The guys are putting their new gazebo together and I am going to help my mom put the summer comforter and dust ruffle on the bed.

Temptation on Thursday:
Challenge the kids to a Pictionary rematch-- after I look at all of the cards :devil2:

big hugs!

@taxed4ever How awful for the people in the Tofino area. Everything is so dry, it seems like all it takes is a small spark to make a mess. I hope that they are able to get the fire contained soon.
That's sooo cool that you can watch the Olympic Team practice, they must go by in a blur. I looked at the Holland Creek webpage (loved the doggy in the first pic I saw ) and the waterfall and dams are so beautiful!
I bookmarked the YouTube video and will watch it as soon as I post this, TFS!

@vickyday aww, poor Asher the Dog. It sounds like this is very unusual for him, hope it gets better real soon because that isn't fun to clean up at all.
How in the world can you stay awake until 2 am working on a puzzle? Time flies while I am doing a puzzle but no way would I be able to keep my eyes open that long :D Good luck getting all of the same color pieces together.

@bcgal00 Glad to hear that you have a small break in the 90* weather. The pool should be filled and warm enough to swim in before it gets hot again?
Your book club is going to be great, fun to go in with a low-key attitude and just enjoy it. Wish I lived near you, I would love to join in. I know you are going to be a good leader and friend :)
I am starting to think about things like that I can do when the kids are officially out of the house- it takes me a while to get my nerve up to try new things so thinking is a big step.
Wouldn't that be nice if the new bedtime routine really helps your sleep schedule? Sucks about the caffeine however, but good sleep is an excellent benefit.

@Cherylndesigns What a fun day you had with Ava, what style is she redecorating the house in?
I wish I had extra money to get some of my LOs done on canvas. I should think about it next time Walgreens has a good sale, they have 50-60% off all of the time, but even then it's out of budget. pfft. I'd love to get the page I did of Whisky for the OOB challenge printed, she looks so cute

Take care of yourselves today and catch the hug I am sending~~~~~ :hug4:

Good Morning!
Just a note before I head out for groceries and lunch with Mark! Third time this week! They are very slow and are actually planning a forced vacation for everyone the week of July 4th! Mark and I have plans to go to the mountains, hopefully on the bike! It is just a couple of hours away and west of us.

Nothing new happening here. I am really loving the cooler weather we have been having! The AC has only been running late in the afternoon....for Mark. Most of the time when it is running I have a sweater on! I don't say anything since he is paying most of the bills! ;). He works hard and I want him to be comfortable while he is home, especially since he is allowing me to stay home! We would be better off financially if I would work, but I don't really want to as long as we can afford going out to lunch and supper now and then and put gas in the bike.....you know, the extra curricular stuff!

Here's a picture of the puzzle I finished last night Chris @faerywings. The dark areas and the path were done last...the hardest part, LOL. I'd love to own that cabin! I'd invite Trudy @taxed4ever over to go out on the boat with me! ;)

Morning everyone... It is a bit more cloudy today and the temps have dropped also, that must mean the rain is on its way. We sure could use a good few days of that! Yesterday's hike was very pretty, not a long hike but we sat and had our lunch at Transfer Beach and that stretched our time together out a bit more. I was still home in time to see my Gary for a couple of minutes before he headed back to work from his lunch break. Today will be a stay at home day and I will get the page that I did yesterday afternoon posted to the gallery this morning. So many great layouts in the gallery, its a bit overwhelming!! I will do some commenting for sure. Other that that I have nothing on my agenda, so I should try to start a new painting. Tomorrow I might go get groceries instead of doing that on Saturday as we will be getting things ready to host dinner for Father's Day on Sunday. Mark and SIL Linda will be also be coming, they are in Port Hardy right now enjoying a bit of a get away while Linda's new flooring is being installed. They are supposed to be done by this afternoon so I will go and lock up the house and check out the new floors, I bet they look great!

@faerywings - So nice that you shared how you felt to Gary and Scott! Of course they will be very understanding, they both love you so much! Nice to get the confirmation that Scott and Sam will stay very close by! Hope that you all have a great visit with your parents today and that the gazebo gets put up without too much trouble! Good that you are there to help your Mom with the bed also, it really is a hard job to get the dust ruffle put on all by yourself that's for sure. We call them bed skirts here in Canada :giggle4: . Sounds like you had a fun game of Pictionary, I have never played the board game version of it. That might be something to get for when the kids are here this summer.

@vickyday - I would love to have that cabin too and would love to go out in the row boat with you, but who gets to row?? Me or You?? Lunch out again today?? How great is that?!!

Gotta fly Heather is calling talk to you all later! Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. I was going to go thrifting for the day with a new friend but she has COPD and has to be careful when the air quality is poor. So she'll come for coffee tomorrow with the ladies and today I'll go to my fave decor store, they are having a garage sale today so might pick up a few more decor pieces if the prices are good. I saw the video of the items on sale and there is a lot, I'm excited to go. I'm going to be there right when they open today and hopefully there isn't a big lineup. They are the best decor store in our city but can be pricey. It has cooled off a bit so I'll bring remi and then we'll go to the dog park on the river.

Later I want to edit some photos and get them loaded into my online storage. That's about it for today.

@faerywings I would suck at pictionary. I cannot draw.

@vickyday What a pretty scene for the puzzle. You and Trudy would be out on the boat and I would be sitting on the dock, taking photos :)

Gotta go hop in the shower and get ready to go. HAGD everyone.

Morning, all. Sitting here enjoying my 1st cup of coffee :coffeedrinker:in a month!!! Been eating 'normal' meals for the past week, so decided to try coffee this morning. Sure have missed it but will stick with just 1 (large) cup to begin with. ;) Still mainly taking it easy - had 2 lazy PJ days on Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday, I finally did the errands that had to be done... trip to AAA to have them verify the mileage on the car for insurance (389 miles since I bought it in Jan!); to dealership to set up appointment for oil change in Aug; paid Visa bill at credit union; and dropped off estimated tax payments at Post Office. On to Kohls where I bought 2 tees and finally to Smiths for a few groceries. By then I was worn out and ready to veg for the rest of the day. Guess I was really tired as I slept in until 9:30 this morning! Good thing I set the trash and recycle bins out late yesterday. Just heard the recycle truck go by so can wheel the bins back to the side of the house.

I feel a bit guilty for not participating in the Birthday Party so far... but know you all understand. I am slowly sticking my toe back into scrapping. Hopefully will back to normal scrapping, commenting, and popping in here in July.

Good afternoon all. It JUST turned noon here.

Casey's coming to clean today but other than that, I just have to water all of my plants. Poor things are probably wondering where I am.

Chris @faerywings I only buy my canvases when they're 60 to 70% off. I usually pay about $20 for them. They're just beautiful and so thick and come with the hangers and little rubber circles on the corners that keep them from slipping. They're top quality. Ava tore her two cabinets out (the ones on each side of her sink) and put open shelving up. The wood she got is beautiful - so thick and she's stained it really dark. She also found some beautiful Mexican tiles in orange shades and put them up behind the shelves. She's just added a lot of color to her decor - she's going through her "bright color phase". We took our lunch back to her house and ate there. It was a fun day - Adrienne was out of town at Braden's orientation, and we kept taking selfies and sending them to her to drive to drive her crazy because she wasn't with us. We're so mean. :floorlaugh:

Vicky @vickyday I didn't know you were a night owl. So am I. When you said you were sorting puzzle pieces at 2 am, does that mean you finished your puzzle after that? It's just beautiful! I'm usually up until about 2 am myself. Every night, I swear I'm going to bed earlier, but it doesn't usually happen. I've been a night owl my whole life - even when I had to be at work at 7:30 in the morning for all those years. I used to stay up and watch Johnny Carson every night and he used to be on until 1 am.

Well, I'm going to sign off. Lots going on here and like Trudy @taxed4ever said, there are lots and lots of layouts in the galleries that need commenting on.

XOXO

Kay, it's SO good to see you in here and yay for your first cup of coffee and normal diet. I do hope you don't have any reperussions from the coffee. Sounds to me like you are feeling a little bit better - I'm happy for you that you were able to get some things done. I know how those kinds of things hang over one's head. You need to take it easy - DON'T worry aout not feeling like you're ready to participate in the birthday event yet. As you said, we all certainly understand. Glad to hear that you've taken a couple of PJ days, too. You need to take care of you first and formost. But it's wonderful to see you and to hear of your progress. Keep it up!! :hug3::beatingheart:

I have always been a night owl, too! Like you, even when I worked and got up at 6, a lot of the times I was up until 2 or 3. No napping during the day, either. If I feel like it, I don't! I would NOT sleep at night if I did! As it is, I take 2 Tylenol pms every night without fail. I take them at 8 and they finally kick in around 2. Other than that it would probably be later than 2 when I went to bed. Sometimes I am still up all night!

I've had sleep disorder my whole life, even as a kid. I remember being the only one in the whole family who wasn't sleeping. It was always so frustrating. I take a prescription sleeping pill now and I drink my own blend of herbal tea. It finally kicks in about 2. Man, it stinks to not be able to sleep like almost everybody else can. I can't stay in a room with anybody when we travel (except Chuck) because I can't sleep on command. I always have to have my own room if I do.

Fortunately, both of my husbands could/can sleep through anything! So, if I left/leave a lamp light on next to the bed and they face the other way, it is fine! But, I can't go to sleep on demand, either!
