Hi all of my O-zies!!
OMG-- another cool (cold, for me) rainy and dreary day. I can't stand it! More flood warnings and possible tornado warning too?? Where is my summer weather???

I am so glad I finished cleaning my rugs and they are all dry b/c if I did them today they would never dry. Instead I get to pay bills today. And work. woot , fun fun fun!

If I can get my housework done early enough, I might try to scrap some of the photos I took at Belmar last week before I have to go to work this afternoon. I also have to make Father's Day cards and figure out how I am going to wrap up the brownies I ammaking as gifts. I decided onthe toffee-bottomed brownies

They look yummy, and they should freeze well too. I still need to figure out my schedule next week for when I am going to see all of the dads. We were supposed to all be at my MIL's but she had to cancel that b/c of her broken leg.

That's about all I have going on here. Its funny how just a month ago I had **insanity** each and every day. I should be very happy to be boring and nothing to say, right? :)

Make is a great one!

Laurie- I saw that pic of the storm clouds! Wow!!! Hope that they passed over you very quickly and not too stormy. Sorry to hear about the bad parts of the day. I remember when I was teaching, sometimes the parents were way harder to deal with then the kids! (almost always!! LOL) Enjoy your day off today.

Phyllis- I hope that those cicadas didn't make too much of a mess on the car (from the size of them, hope they didn't dent it!! ack!)
Hope that the storms held off so you could do what you had to do yesterday.
If I could clone my mom, I would. I'd send her to you-- she loves to cook and vacuum!! No ironing though. She hates that *giggles*

nancy- It was nice to see some sun yesterday but the winds were crazy here. That was great to make a breeze and dry the rugs but I was cold. ;)
Did you see on the news about the body they found in my town? The County Rescue divers found a car and body in Monksville/Greenwood lake-- right where my dad used to take Scott to fish. Hope that it at least brings closure to whoever they found's family.

hugs my friends!!!

lOve the O!
Morning O fam I decided after work to go get my groceries so I would not have to go into town today as it is my day off. The radar showed no storms or clouds and I kept watch on the sky. It was interesting to see how empty the stores all were - I stopped at 3. After the last store, I noticed a large cloud in the western sky- the direction I was driving. I kept watch on it, and did have several spots of rain on my way home. Once home, I turned on the tv to learn that we were now in a tornado warning in my county. Looking at the radar map, I knew the storm cell they were watching was the one I saw on my way home. As I emptied the car I went out onto the porch and snapped this photo on my phone:

The storm was actually past me heading to town or I would not have taken the photo, I would have been totally in my basement. More storms blew through around 1am, but my house again was spared. So I guess I have to clean today!!

That looks delicious Chris!!

I hope you all get better weather without all those storms, floods and tornadoes!
I'm glad it's not such weather here. Today we don't have much sun either, but beside a bit of rain this morning it's pretty nice.

gaaah! up at 4 a.m. shutting windows, rain coming in in all directions!! lots of strong wind, but happily NO tornadoes. it really was over quickly, too, the storm itself was moving at 50 mph eastward, so it was in and out of here quickly. just stayed around long enough to wake everyone up. :mmph:

Laurie, I will say again: that photo gives me the willies!!

Chris, the brownies look excellent. I can feel my blood sugar rising just looking at them!

hi, Angela! so happy that there are no tornado warnings where you are! enjoy your day!

well. hmmm. the SUN just came out. if things go as usual around here, that will last a few minutes. better go out and do my roundandround walking on the patio before something happens. :rain:

have a wonderful day, O-Zies! :becky:

Morning ladies... DD and baby are sleeping so I am quickly popping in to say hi  The baby shower was a big success!! They made quite the haul of goodies!! There were around 20 ladies there so it was a big loud party with baby being loved by all who were there. He was so good too, not one cry or whimper until all was over and done and it was time to eat again. Got home quite late so I am sure that Mommy and Daddy are very sleepy today! :rain: here today too, but so far no tornado warnings, keeping my fingers crossed that the rain goes away and I can take Mason out for a walk. No stroller yet so I would have to take him in a carrier, which is ok, but would love to be able to walk with a stroller, so MG and I will probably buy one for her when he gets here on the 17th. Baby is crying so I will go and say I miss everyone here and hope to be able to spend much more time here at the end of the month!

good morning! whew we just had a huge flash of light and loud thunder! Phylis this must be the storm you had. It is to rain all day with thunderstorms or worse! Two to 3 inches of rain possible - too much rain for me. Slept late as the first game of the Stanley Cup finals actually went into the third OT before the Blackhawks put in a double deflected puck to win. The game started at 8:20 and ended at 1 am. What a game! It was basically two games in one night. I cannot imagine how tired they must have been! Next game is Sat night. I think they need this extra day off. Got in a good walk and yes it was windy!

Chris no I had not heard about the car found in the lake. Scary that is so close you where your son fished. I will have to look on line at NJdotcom. Your brownies look really good! Glad you life has calmed down. Guilt Trip is a mother/son bonding trip as they drive across the country.

Phylis glad the storm moved fast!

Angela enjoy your day with the kids!

Trudy so glad to hear the baby shower was such a success. And yes you need to get a stroller. Sounds so nice to take Mason for a walk! Glad he was such a trooper during the shower. Who does not want to hold a baby! They smell so good!

Laurie that is a great photo! Glad the storms passed you by!

Have a great day all!
