Hello and a gooooOd morning to the Ooos!
Caitlyn said that she had a productive feeling day yesterday and I think we did. First off is that I talked to her, apologized about how I screwed up the day before, and the days before that. She told me that a huge thing that shows I haven't really screwed up was that she was able to call me out, I thought about it, and we were able to discuss the situation to make it better the next time. I just about cried when she said that. I needed that. I hugged her, hugged Gary, and said that we really are a great team.
Such weird things didn't come in the shopping order again. No fresh spinach. Really? Caitlyn and I both want to try to eat a bit healthier so that was disappointing.
Then we placed the liquor order. OMG- we are crazy. We ordered a bunch of stuff for the upcoming theme nights. She told the owner (this was on the phone so we could do curbside pick-up) to pick out the cheapest opens of each. No top-shelf brands for us. hahaha!! We we unpacked the box on the pub table that had all of the open bottles of alcohol on it already - yikes! we look like a bar. (A dive bar.)
I spent a few more hours out back and the yard is coming along nicely. Some of the lilies are blooming too. It is going to rain on and off all day so I will be inside but that is nature's way of watering my plants
I was happy to get a bunch of things done and hopefully I can stay buckled down and focused today.

Gratitudes:
-feeling a sense of accomplishment
-Ray is walking a bit better today
-a nice chat with my mom yesterday

hugs!

Trudy- how was your hike? I hope that you aren't stiff and sore like my Ray is. I bet it was awesome to be able to talk to other people. How are they all holding up with this isolation? See any cool animals or plants?
What plans do you have today while you wait for your Gary to be home tomorrow? I loved your page for Vicki R- what a fun challenge.
what a novel idea to have people in positions of knowledge and power to say "Be kind." :mmph:
I hope all of your grandkids are well too!

Nancy - we ended up turning the AC on yesterday afternoon, the humidity got to Gary. It is kind of chilly this morning. Is it that way by you too? That is really so exciting about your DHs vision and your sister's too. I have heard that AZ is really spiking, is she still able to work from home? I hope so.
How long did it take for Luther to stop limping? I know it will be different since Ravyn is over 14 and he is still a youngster pup. :) I feel so bad for her. I am thinking if she isn't better by tomorrow I will see if I can get her in, maybe for some anti-inflammatories.

Kay- <~ happy dancing with you. whew! What a relief to have the car done and have SIL able to take you over there.
It is so strange that the meds only seem to work for a few years- thank goodness there seem so the several options to rotate through. Good luck with the switch and I hope that you are finally going to be able to catch up on sleep!

Felis- It is hard to keep track of all of the different social issues at play. The US has a bad history since its inception of treating non-white humans terribly and so much if it simply not taught in the school system. For many Americans, this is the first time they are coming to grips with i. The way COVID displayed disparity, the brutal policing policies- all of it has come to a head. I guess the US still has some of its prominence internationally which it why it seems to be everywhere in the news. I know that climate activists are frustrated that it seems to have totally lost their focus. And yet we are entering what is predicted to be a very active hurricane season. It is worrisome.
Pro tip: Never read the comments! hahaha
Unfortunately- social workers don't get a huge salary. If she becomes a psychologist she would need additional schooling and more debt. It is so :frusty:

But let me end this on a good note:
I took this picture the other day but finally got it off of my phone to share:

I have a set of 5 different characters but shared Goofy and Donald since I only have 2 feet haha!!!

Good morning ladies!! It is another grey and cloudy day, but that's ok I don't have too much going on besides getting my hair done this afternoon!! HORRAY!!!! I can't wait to see my hairdresser again and catch up on what has been happening in her life. I bet she is very happy to be back to work although I bet not thrilled that they have to be all masked up. Oh well it is the new normal now right?? Sure wish they could hurry up and get a vaccine for this crap already!! :mmph: Yesterday's hike was very nice and the rain held off for us with the sun even coming out for a bit of it. We saw lots of blue herons and a few very pretty ducks, eagles and hawks so it was an interesting walk! Nice to catch up with everyone and funny to hear that most of us have been doing renos of some kind or another during all this. I bet the hardware and building supply stores have been doing a booming business through all of this Covid19 nonsense!

Chris - That is so heart warming to hear that you and Cait had a good talk and that she of course understands her Momma and that you have raised her right!! I am not stiff or sore today, it was more of a very long walk than an actual hike a good one to get us started off with as many have not been out hiking much at all. Many of the favourite hikes have been closed off due to the virus, but sounds like that most have opened up again. Strange that you could not get fresh spinach in your shopping order?? Who knows the reasoning behind the shortages these days?? :noidea: Thanks for the nice comment on my page for the Vicki Robinson challenge, it was good to be scrapping again! Yes we love our Bonnie Henry, she is the voice of reason for the whole province and a good reason why we have not had many outbreaks here I am sure! BTW I love your Disney socks!! So cute! Hope you have a wonderful time with your next theme night, sounds like you are well stocked with different bottles for your upcoming parties should there be any more!

Nancy - Did you get more thunder and lightning last night?? Heather said that they were stinking hot and humid yesterday and were expecting a big storm during the night. That will hopefully cool down the temps a bit! I have heard that Arizona has been hit very hard with the virus, so hope that your sister will be ok! Hope that she can get her other eye before too long, but scary to go to the hospital these days for her! Yes we had a very nice hike/walk yesterday and you would have loved seeing all the birds! Hope you and Luther are having a lovely day!

Kay - So happy for you that you got your car back! Sure hope that the meds will help with your coughing and indigestion!! My DH has been taking Nexium for a few years due to a Hiatus Hernia and has actually been able to cut the dosage in half and still have that work for his acid reflux. Hope you are able to get your running around done today!

Felis - Oh my you really need to stay off of social media for a bit LOL. The world has gone crazy these past few weeks and the media only shares what they think will be news worthy most of the time it is bad news!! Yes some people should just not comment!! Or pretend that they are activists LOL. I hope that you are having a more calming day today!

Ok I should be getting a call from the grands soon, so I will sign off here and hopefully get some scrapping done before heading out to the hairdresser! Did I tell you how happy I am to be getting my hair done LOL!!! Ok I will shut up about it :tape: Have a great day everyone! Stay Safe!!!

morning - I was up a little after 7 and that is early for me. Yet I have not gotten much accomplished other than take out meat to thaw for dinner. LOL I think I have said before that Luther has a mind of his own. Last night he wanted to go for a walk which is what we normally do. He went far enough to do his business and then it was nope not going any further and he want to home. He cracks me up. So I took him home but then I went on. Called my oldest son said a package to him had arrived. He came and got it. He made me so laugh as he order this 3 months ago. And the package went all over the US and finally made it here. It was a birthday present and her birthday has passed. He was just glad it was finally here. He was in a good mood so that too made me happy! Got a lot of scrapping done. I am actually caught up with my FotoInspired project through May. It is very interesting to see how this year is going.

Chris we turned on the AC as soon as we got back from the evening walk. And it is still on today. I wonder if we will get storms today. Glad you had such a great talk with Cait and you are doing such a great job with both kids. Love your liquor order. Cool socks. I talked to my son and he says yes we should play the card game "something with Humanity" forgot the real name. He says it is fun. So we will do that when we are closer to all of us getting together. It took a while for Luther's limp to get better because he kept chasing birds. But we have stopped that so he is better and yes we gave him puppy aspirin. That did seem to help too. But Luther is just going to be 5 this July which is a lot younger that Rayvn. Good luck with her.

Trudy so glad the hike was a success. And yes the storm is going more north of us into where Heather is but we should still get some. Hope your weather gets better.

Kay congrats on getting the car back so quickly. That is shocking that two people with the same name on the same day got their cars worked on. Glad they got their act together so you got your car.

Felis social media can be exhausting. As Chris so rightly expressed our country is going through a turbulent time that perhaps we can finally start to address the racial problems in our country. But the good news in my area is that things are opening up and the rate of infection is not spiking. Have fun with your family and kitties.

Jean hope your are not sweltering with heat and humidity.

Gratitudes

Quick in and out today. Was catching up on some CT work that took longer than expected. Still have more to do but it will have to wait until I get back from running errands.

Yes, the switch in reflux meds is already helping. Most of the belching is gone and not coughing quite as much. Think the cough now is left-over from the Ace-inhibitor meds. I did manage to sleep okay - only woke up once. That is an improvement.

Got a call from the dealership yesterday afternoon asking if I noticed anything different about my car??...??...??? Turns out the tow guy had left a lightbar [for showing braking/turning] attached by magnets on the top near the back. He came by and picked it up a few minutes later. I had never noticed it.

Chris, so glad you and Cait had a good talk about what happened. Bet that cleared the air for both of you. LOL over having a talk with the liquor place about why you were buying it. BTW, love the socks - they are adorable.

Trudy, glad you had a good hike and didn't end up too sore from it.

Hello girls!
I'm sorry, but I really don't have anything to share! Another day with rain off and on. I was tried to work at the garden, but it was too wet. Water is good and welcome, but grow also grass and weeds, so there have lots of work, but not for today.
I had a pleasure to read book about the life of one family in the end of the era of agricultural families, this time in Ireland. I already read memories of one Korean girl, which mother description was so close to my grandma, as it was kind of scary. The people, the characters in both books, reminds me so much for my grandparents, and makes me wonder how and why, so fast we was able to go so away from the ground and agriculture, which was their life from generations? It's so sad! Books are
''Please Look After Mom'' by Shin Kyung-sook and ''In the Wake of the Bagger'' by Jack Harte.
Both very good, but with sad and difficult subjects. I strongly recommend! I think that was behind my inspiration today to want so much to go out and work in dirt, as Chris said. But it just wasn't possible. So there was another ordinary tasks instead that.

Oh, and I saw Jeannette thread this morning and the good news for her new dog definitely makes my day!

Chris, these socks are so cool! I love them! Ouch, you was ask me about the orange cat Jelato, but I totally forgot, forgive me. He is around 9.3 lbs if I'm convert it correct. 17 libs WOW, this is huge cat, I want one  ! Also definitely is better to be fat in kilograms LOL!
I'm so happy that you and Cait was able to talk and resolve problems between you! Oh, social worker not psychotherapist, OK I'm misunderstood this, but hey she will cares for others and this is most important! Did she check for working places temporary at some websites for mental health support? I'm hearing these online consultation become popular in UK. Don't push her, I really really hate job interviews!
Your advice is so right of course, but I'm so irritate with these euro-americans (I'm not sure how is the correct term) which before was posted mostly bikini selfies(nothing wrong in this), and now preach to others, because they are shared one, only one link for fundraising. I bet they aren't even gone to see where this organisation is located. Donors/supporters are very important of course, but this not give them statute of activists. Or maybe I'm way too petty about that, but the number of these kind of people just shocked me.

Trudy, I remember how much you was missing your hairdresser, enjoy the conversation! Do you plan page for this hike or rain not allows you to take photos!

Nancy, aren't all dogs like that? LOL! OH, very belated birthday present sounds fun.

Kay, nice to hear that you feels better after meds switch!
