:partyhorn: It's Juuuunnnnnne! My season is here and boy oh boy, it makes me so very happy!
I have about 3 months of not complaining that I am cold and I hope to love every last minute. (other than allergies, this year is especially aggravating)

Did you all have a good day yesterday? I did, I got almost everything done that I had to do.

I made Jalapeno Poppers to go with Crispy Bean Burritos last night for dinner. Sam had brought over a bunch of jalapenos and I had no idea what to do with them since I am not crazy about anything too spicy. (Meanwhile, Scott laughs at me that I consider jalapenos "spicy" since he likes crazy-hot peppers like ghost peppers.) I added some paprika and crushed red pepper flakes to the filling and they came out really good, I even ate two of them.

Gary wants to explore that trail more this morning. I have to see how my knees are, right now my left knee is kind of stiff. He keeps hoping that if he wears his legs out during the day, his restless legs won't be as bad at night. So far, that hasn't made any difference. :(
I have some New Month CT work to do but other than that, nothing specific.

Temptation on Thursday:
Sooo tempted to just stick my eyeballs in cold, running water. So so so tempted.

On that note, *G* HAGD!

@LSlycord You have the world's best commute to work :D I bet the dogs will be thrilled once the yard is fenced in. Did it get finished yesterday? I wish there was some way to fence our yard, I know my dogs would love that.
I have a tip for recognizing bird sounds (did I tell you this already? Ignore me if I did).
Tufted titmouse (mice?? Good question! LOL): TT. They sound like Teee Tweeee
House wren sounds like chattering housewives - I think of this :rollingpin1:
Blue Jays: A drunk man from the Bronx (sorry people of Bronx) calling for his friend Jay. Jaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy Jay. Jayyyyy
I have to have mnemonic devices for everything :giggle4:
Poor sweet Andie. Her skin must have been rubbed raw :( I'm glad that she is feeling better -- but.... does she look silly all shaved? ;) Please give her some extra pets and treats from me.
15 sleeps!!

@vickyday I am still so annoyed at FB. SMH!
It's so silly that if I am in the yard/woods and I see a snake, I always jump first, apologize to the snake, and *then* I chatter away to it. I have no idea why I got so startled at first especially since around the house, it is mostly garter snakes- all small. In the woods, there are larger ones but I rarely see any.
When is your sister heading back home? You seem to have had a really nice time together. ♥

@Cherylndesigns Tell Ava congrats on the new truck! It sounds amazing! It's got to be much more practical to have the truck where you live than the Challenger. I had to move Scott's 4Runner yesterday and almost fell on my face trying to get in. He has running boards but I forget they are there. Hahahah! That truck is a beast. Once I got it out of the driveway without rolling into my car, I was fine but I drive a CRV and that thing is huge compared to mine.
Sam has an FJ and said that her mom needed a step stool to get into it after she first had her stroke. Made me think of horsedrawn carriages and the driver who would place the blocks down to help the passengers get out.
BTW- I somehow screwed up today's thread and posted it twice. Eva PMd me to tease me about being so excited over June. I have no idea which thread to delete just yet so I 100% relate to the messing up of days and dates (again Ha!)
I saw the tanning drops on Amazon and on Walgreens.com.
I cashed in another $10 of reward points to Amazon so I'll probably get them there. I also have to find something for my legs too. I get *such* a crazy "farmer's tan" and my ankles/feet are so pale compared to the rest of me. Same with my wrists and hands. Socks and garden-glove lines ;)

Hugs to you all! xoxo

Good Thursday morning to you all!! Sorry I was MIA yesterday, but I spent most of the morning on the phone with my credit card company. My card had two fraudulent charges on it, what a pain in the you know what!!! :rollingpin1:I was put on hold for god knows how long, but finally got it all settled before I had to rush out the door for my hike. It was good to have it settled before I went though! Now my card is cancelled and they will be refunding me the couple of hundred dollars, thank goodness!!! I have to deal with changing everything when my new card arrives. The hike was great and such amazing views, it was on the cooler side, but the perfect weather for hiking! We had lunch at the top of the mountain that faces directly across from our house. I am heading out right away for a kayak with Linda and then I need to get busy with getting coupons out to the challenge winners from the May challenges! Hard to believe that it is already June! I will soon have to get things ready for when the all the kids and grands come out in August. I would really love to have some meals all prepared and in the freezer for when they are here! So happy that my DH will be taking his holiday time while everyone is here also, it is nice to have the extra hands and hopefully he will get in some good quality time with the grands!

@faerywings - Hooray for the month of June and the end of complaining about the damp chilly weather LOL. I hope you are able to get out for a great hike with your Gary today! I bet if he keeps up the hiking it will help with his restless legs, it just might take a while before he notices improvement!

@LSlycord - I have been admiring your photos of the morning drives to the beach! Oh so beautiful! You do live in Paradise!! It's the downhill slide now til Syd gets back home, bet you can't wait!!

@vickyday - I am so tempted to close my facebook account after all this trouble you have had and the guy I talked to one the phone about my fraudulent charges said a lot of these things happen because of Facebook pop ups!! Mine were charges from a gaming place in China. I am so totally not a gamer LOL.

@Cherylndesigns - Congrats to Ava on her new truck, yup makes so much more sense to have a truck where you live!

Ok the lake and kayaks are calling my name so I am outta here :eek3:Have a wonderful day everyone! :bye2:

Good afternoon. I woke up at 7:30 this morning and didn't think I was going to be able to go back to sleep. I finally did and had the craziest dream. I rarely remember them, but I was lost in a strange city and had no idea where I was. I was looking for a specific address and couldn't fine it. I caught a trolly type thingie and they charged me $75 dollars to go two blocks. Then they found me this cart thing to drive around in this big city with all the cars whizzing by. I almost had a head on collision with a car because I went the wrong way on a one way street. I finally abandoned the cart and started running and was in a really bad neighborhood. I was running through all these scary buildings and finally got back out on the street. I remember thinking how many photo ops I was missing - always looking for pictures even in my dreams. I thought I lost my credit card and couldn't find my cell phone Finally found both and called somebody and they asked me where I was and I said I didn't know. I woke up in a sweat. I was happy to be in my own bed. I think it must have been from our mad dash to AK yesterday and Ava needing to be back here then be in Muskogee at 6 for her Jujitsu class. She was running on such a tigh schedule but she made it and got another stripe for her belt. She'd hals way to her next color. What an exciting day.

Chris @faerywings I'll tell her Aunt Chris said congrats, Trudy @taxed4ever I'll tell her from you, as well. Trudy, that sucks about your credit card. I hate when that happend. But what a wonderful day you must have had eating lunch at the top of the mountain. I hope you have a great day on the lake.'

Chris @faerywings I hope you guys have a nice hike and I knew you'd get it about getting up in those monster trucks because you have to move Scott's from time to time. Honest to goodness, when Ava had her LAST truck, before she got her running boards, we had a foldable stool that she kept in her truck for me. We always called it "the princess stool". I told her we needed to get that back out until she gets her running boards. :floorlaugh:

I found some "body makeup" on Amazon but it's way pricey - $45 a tube. I saw it advertised on IG and went to Amazon to find it. Westmore Beauty Body Coverage Perfector 3.5 Oz/ 100ml (Golden Radiance) - Waterproof Leg And Body Makeup For Tattoo Cover Up And More - The Best Tattoo Cover Up Leg Makeup

We might be able to find it cheaper, but Adrienne said it would probably rub off on our clothes - she's not a fan. Of course, the advert said it wouldn't, but you also have to buy a buffer and the buffer is as much as the makeup. WHY does everything cost so much??? I'm still using that Jergens Glow because I have a farmer's tan too.

I'm going to sign off but hello to everybody who stops in and HAGD. Temptation on Thursday to do nothing except work on my challenge and maybe get out to my plants - I know that won't happen, but it is a temptation.

Hi everyone. A quick in and out for me. I still haven't had my shower and gotten dressed yet and it's almost lunch time and then I have to drive D to the Wound Care Clinic (he finally got a call this morning after he complained and they set up an appt). Then we'll be home for a few hours and then I take him to the hospital for an MRI to see how things look.

I was on the computer looking at book clubs and recommendations. I really enjoyed the book club mtg last night and some of the ladies expressed interest in a daytime one, especially in the winter when driving at night can be dicey. So I decided to host it. I will set things up in the unused media room (where we let the dogs play b/c that room is sound proof and hasn't been in use since we moved here). There is a fridge, sink, cupboards, garbage drawer and counter in the foyer before you go into the media room. Should be perfect for us. We'll vote on books for the next few months but to start it off I chose "Golden Girl" by Elin Hilderbrand. This will get me back into reading more again. I get sucked up into pinterest and youtube and as much as I enjoy it, I spend too much time there. I'm looking forward to a few hours, waiting for D, to read a book while I wait.

Met another woman at the mtg who loves thrift shopping so she'll take me around to her fave places to go and she'll come out hiking with me too. I have a feeling I am going to be much busier with activities now and that's going to be fun.

@faerywings The food sounds good. I'm like you, I don't like too spicy either. Talking about food, Jen made keto pumpkin muffins last night that were so good, now I want to bake too. Hopefully it won't be like the blueberry muffins I kept talking about before and it took months to finally make them LOL.

@taxed4ever Enjoy the lake today. What a PITA about the CC.

@Cherylndesigns What a crazy dream. Hope the $75 trolley fare wasn't a prediction about the future :) Increasing prices of everything is just getting ridiculous.

I'd better shower, dress and eat before we have to go. bfn

Kim is heading back on Friday morning. The time sure passed by quickly!
My daughter also reported to FB that my page had been hacked. When she checked today she does not see my profile. Do you? Maybe it took a second person to make them realize something was going on!

Earlier last month I had some fraudulent charges trying to come through on my credit card after being in PA. Someone from NY was trying to buy facial product on line....about $100+. Fortunately the credit card company contacted me to ask about the charges before they were approved. But they still had to cancel my card and send me a new one. Fortunately that card was not the one I have autopays done on! I wish people would get a life!

Good Evening!
Half an hour left of June 1st.
Kim and I went to my daughter's house today. We went to Arby's for lunch and then played games until I had to come home to fix Mark's supper.
Tomorrow Kim heads back to FL. It has been a quick week! She has another week of vacation added to her benefits. I told her to come back if she wanted to. She said she would probably just use them as 3-day weekends.
I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Monday, so tomorrow I need to go to the store to get the prep stuff.....miralax and gatorade. I will miss going to church on Sunday due to the prep. Mark is taking off work to go with me since I will need a driver for after the procedure.
I have my first challenge (Recipe #6) done for June but I am tired and will post it tomorrow some time. I was up until 3 last night and didn't sleep very well on top of that so I am tired! Tomorrow night is back to our bed. YAY! We have an adjustable bed that my sister sleeps in while she is here because she needs that V-shape (head raised and foot raised) so she can sleep. I don't know how she sleeps like that, but I guess if you have to you get used to it! The bed we have been sleeping on in the spare room is comfortable but is hot.
OK, that's it for me!
Nite!
