The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
hey hey hey.... how's my O-Fam? Hopefully much better than I am ATM. bad day here yesterday, just all messed up. I was hoping to get to the beach all afternoon and chill, but it is raining. It is *not* going to be a good day if all 4 of us are cooped up together. And all of the crap is out of my control. :(

ugh. just ugh.

It has to get better, right??

Anyway- my Temptation on Thursday is to run away, far away.....

This too shall pass, this too shall pass, this too.......

*sighs*

It will, right? It has too. He'll get back on the abx and the lyme will be helpd down and the lyme-brain moods will ease. My heart breaks for my kids, esp Scott who got the brunt of it yesterday.

enough of that... I have to pull it together. So let me do some quick personals, and get ready for work.

Donna- good luck with your garage sale. Ours is set for tomorrow and Saturday as long as it doesn't rain. And hey- you are good if you are only a season behind, i think I must be years behind LOL

Nana- feel better and arthritis go away! That really sticks about the food. Have you thought about going to a food pantry? A client of mine has a neighbor who works at the local bank by us. He brings home the extra stuff that they can't use or is close to the exp date. They end up getting lots of condiments and stuff like that they just can't use. She passes along ketchup, jelly etc to me when she is over-run. Might help to pop in an see if there is just some basics that you could get but not feel like you were taking necessities away from someone else?

Phyllis- i hate when that happens.

Trudy- you sound like my mom, who helps me out like that too. I hope everything goes well for your DD and a job. I know that being disabled and unable to contribute to the family is so hard for Gary. I bet a job would do wonders for your DD too- esp for the income.

xoxo to everyone who stops by!

I'm excited for my guys to come home from summer camp today! I guess that means I need to do a bit of cleaning and grocery shopping before they return, but here I sit by the computer! I've had fun scrapping with all of you! Hopefully I'll get to play with August challenges (and I really want to find time to do the two latest techniques), but with VBS coming up and then starting back with homeschooling, who knows!

Temptation Thursday - I think I'm going to need to pick up some sangria!

Cinda, hats off to you for the homeschooling! i can't even get my brain around how much work that must be. :-D on the aA comment!

Chris.
He'll get back on the abx and the lyme will be helpd down and the lyme-brain moods will ease. My heart breaks for my kids, esp Scott who got the brunt of it yesterday.
did he make a decision himself to get off the abx? there is so much i would like to say to you, but everyne's situation is different and what might work for me might not be possible for you. i tend to confront, which is not always the best approach. i just hope things even out for you.

Trudy, the links for the crockpot recipes all go not to a recipe but to a page called 50plusfriends.com, and not to the recipe. what am i doing wrong? there are so many listed there that pique my interest!

Nana, that turkey breast sounds YUM!

i was awake for half the night with a GIANT and noisy bunch of storms blowing through. closing windows. then opening windows. then CLOSING the windows again. i do love thunder, though. what a cool thing for a planet to do!

today i'm going to try to make and can my salsa. i've already got a TON of tomatoes that need used. it's supposed to be 92 degrees today, so looks like i'll be cooking in the basement again. more storms coming, too, apparently. just so my electricity stays on. i need to use The little Air-Conditioner That Could today!

happiest of Thursdays! make it a "ME" day!

Chris....(((hugs))) sweetie...I know I know about the being cooped up...with all the extreme heat we have really been cooped up too much this summer!! I hope you find a way to get out a bit....maybe a "window" shopping trip to the mall or something...thanks of the advice to the food bank...might have to consider this if I end up spending any more this month!!

Cinda....I admire the home schooling Moms too...I could never pull that off...hope you find time to play next month too...and I am coming to your house..cuz I am loving your tempation ;)

Phylis....YUM....I love salsa....I canned my own a few years ago...it was so good. I guess our heat has just come your way...it hasn't been too bad here this week...

but boy did my own body heat go up last night...HOT FLASH!!!!! I was so hot I made my pillow to hot to lay my head on it!!! I was up at 4:30...so I scrapped a page!! Hopefully we can stay cool today we are taking the kiddos to the water park...last week the local tv station had a special (they do those internet specials like google offer and group on)...we got a 10 pass card to the park for $45, which means the 5 of us can go twice for that...good deal!!

Hope you all have a good day!!

Morning ladies... Another beauty of a day here, I am off to work and then DD and I are going shopping for a little something for the grandkids, not much just something fun. Of course they will be getting a box of smarties under their pillow a fun tradition that my MIL started with my kids. Then I am getting my hair done later, can't wait it is really bleached out from the sun and I look like a shaggy dog!! Oh Yummmm wish I could help out with the salsa!! Not too spicy though I hope lol. Hope your day goes well!

Better get moving or I could just decide to stay home and miss work today! Nawww that wouldn't be fair to the others. Soon the weekend will be here and so will my grandbabies!! Hooray!! Have a great day everyone

Chris - Sorry that your Gary is in such a bad mood! It is always stressful when the males in the family spend to much time in close contact, especially teenagers, there seems to be some kind of male competition. It was the same with my hubby and my son, always a relief to get the kids back to school and a routine again. Hope things improve today!! yes this too will pass!!

Phylis - Oh I am so sorry that these recipe links are not working!!:sorry: I feel badly that this is happening! I tried my links again and the same happens to me :mmph: It is a very old email so I guess maybe the links are just no good no more?? Darn it!! I will search around and see if I can find the proper links.

 Linda!! Posted at the same time! Darn the hot flashes, I have a bad one every single morning at 4:00am WTH!! I would get up and scrap a page too, but having to go to work and then come home and entertain DD, well by the time bedtime arrives I am just exhasted!! Hope you get to catch a nap today! Nice to see you in here my U.S.A. sister!!

Cinda - Sorry I missed you... enjoy your last few hours with the kiddos! You are way more motivated than I could ever be to home school your kids, I admire you for your patience! Hope your wish for being on Anna's team comes true!!

:bounce: Trudy, thanks!! you are so kind to find me another bunch of links, with all you've got going on!! you're the BEST!

afternoon O fam! We are expecting storms later today. I have tied down my patio furniture, weeded some this am, finished mowing lawns, got my walk in, now to clean. Maybe take photos of my storm prep. Last big storm I was not home. I do have a basement which is good as they are predicting possible tornado's -ughh- there are somethings I just do not have to witness up close and personal.

My plans for today were to vacuum downstairs, and spend the rest of the day by the puter scrapping.

Notice, I said were ...... yesterday evening we did some fixing here, and we needed to vacuum some saw dust ...... and the vacuum caught fire (nothing serious - just something inside it), the fire alarm set off. Smelled like (/&/%/%¤ on the entire top floor. I slept on the sofa and John on the floor in the library. (DH was braver, he slept upstairs in his bed)

So ... today I went to Mora (neighbor town) and bought a new vacuum cleaner. Found a really good one on sale - almost half price, so I'm happy ... even though I can think of like 2 million things I rather spend money on than a new vacuum. It's really beautiful too - apple green. *googling for a pic*

It's so beautiful, it's sexy ;)

Ok ... I see some fantastic LOs in the gallery ... where's this tutorial by Adryane everyone is talking about? I've looked everywhere, but I must be blind ... or stupid ... yes, Chris ... I know what you think ;)

Thanks Laurie - never thought of searching in the gallery :)

And Phylis, I'm glad someone can see that a vacuum is sexy ;)

Thanks for the nice comments about homeschooling. Last year was our first year. I never thought I'd be able to do it. Now I can wrap my head around doing it three more years, but we're going to need some clear direction once our oldest hits high school!

I got the sweetest hug from my 11 year old when he got home! Now we're off to replace some shoes that got destroyed at camp!
