Anyone else feel a bit like him?

It is 8 am and already almost 80* and 87% humidity. And yes, I still prefer this over anything below 50*!!

Cait is off tubing down the Delaware today- doesn't that sound like fun? I haven't done that since I was a teen (and we had a floating beer raft too hahahah!). Lucky me- I get to clean. But that is good, I need the money!

Garage sale is definitely off- they are predicting heat indexes to be at super-dangerous levels. Even if it is not as bad as they say, most people are going to be scared to leave their AC.

Trudy- this weather is so bizarre! I'll send some more heat today!

laurie- hope that internet gets fixed. And stay cool too- I agree- car ac needs to get fixed. Even I put it on in my car yesterday to drive home.

Chris I will go to the shore with you! Waiting to call the internet people, already dropped the car off & got a ride home. Cleaning for me on my list. Cannot surf the web @phone mifi pace. Truly that is a good thing. Back later with an update.

Morning "O" ladies, well patches of blue sky this morning... could it be?? Dare I say that summer might be here?? We will see. LOL . Although I don't know that I could stand the humidity that everyone else is having. Supposed to be dangerously hot where my daughter is today in Ontario. Hope she can stay cool!! She will be glad to have some relief from the heat when she arrives here on Sunday. One more sleep and my grand babies will be here Hooray!!!

Chris - try to keep cool while you are cleaning today and probably a good thing that you are not having the garage sale in that scorching heat!!

Laurie - Hope you can get your INTERNET back on track today! Hope you get your housework done early so you can relax the rest of the day!!

93 @ noon. Are you sure you want it Trudy? I was fifth on the list for repair. Poor workers will have to get on the roof in these temps. Even with AC, I am whooped today.

It is just too hot on the east coast and I am good with the cooler temps in the NW. My poor husband is having a rough time in that heat. He insisted on getting the neighbor's phone number to invite her over for dinner rather than walk across the street in the heat. I'll get back right in the middle of it. Yuck!! I'll soak up this crappy summer while I am here.

Last night was great. I went to my brother's house for dinner. My mom drank too much wine so my dad and I had to put her to bed when we got home. She needed it though. She has been so stressed with my dad being out of work and my sister's wedding. It isn't a regular thing, just a nice little break from reality.

Well, I have a handful of pages left to finish my sister's memory book. It is coming along nicely and then I have to spend way too much on the printing at costco. It will look nice though, so I'm good with it.

Yeah, I have my internet- now to hook up the router. We even were able to get the cable set so we could move the router upstairs instead of in the basement. Can move it back if we want to. Clara- so glad you are enjoying your time. Tee Hee on your mom though. I am not sure I would want my kids to have to put me to bed from too much wine.

I've happily spent the day in A/C at the historical society, but it is 91 in our dining room! (probably hotter at this computer) We don't have A/C and some summers barely need a fan, but this is burning up. My sister is also without, so we're taking her out to dinner to get cooled off for a little while.

Laurie, hurray on your Internet.

Clara, the wedding stress must be intense! Poor Mom. Sounds like you're enjoying though.

Trudy, did you get some heat? Still wishing we could send some of ours.

Hmmmm not so sure that I want quite as much heat as you are all experiencing!! Just a bit warmer than what we are getting would be nice though!!

Clara - too funny about your mom!! But you can't blame her for wanting to indulge!!

Laurie - So happy that you got your new router and your Internet fixed up, must have been scorching hot on the roof though!

Jean - Hope that you have a nice supper with your sister and you can all cool off a bit!!
