Good morning/afternoon/evening to everyone, whenever you may read this!
It is a humid, rainy, steamy day here in New Jersey. We had some big T-storms last night and some pouring rain that woke me up very early- 4 am. T-storms will be coming through on and off all day so it is going to be a long one for me and an even longer one for poor Ray. She looked so confused last night when it was thundering so loudly and the house was shaking a bit. She can't hear the thunder but she feels it and she doesn't like that at all.
Yesterday was a quiet day here mostly. Cait and I worked on the "new" puzzle. It is one we have done before but it is one that is possible to finish, unlike that last one. I cleaned and then cooked another yummy dinner- broccoli rabe and garlic over pasta. Mmm! Two delicious dinners in a row. Guess that means I don't have to cook tonight, right??? ;)

I rescheduled for next week with BFF. It made no sense to deal with driving all the way down to her house only to sit and watch the rain when she has a beautiful pool right there. I only have PT going on today.

HAGD!!

Felis- same here-- same old, same old! :p I hate that finances rule my life. Gary asked the other day if I wanted to do anything or go anywhere. There are so few options that would be local and cost no money so we sit here and watch TV instead. No point in wandering around the malls if you can't afford anything, or to spend $40 to go to the movies. We are about one hour from New York City but it costs a fortune just to pay tolls to get in.
The book is moving into the history of Bulgaria and the storyteller goes back in time to WWII. She is explaining the King's decision to flip sides and the bombings of Sophia and the food shortages. of course, there is a happy moment when two people fall in love and get married- only to spend their wedding night in a basement as the bombs fall.
Yes, the new saying in the US goes-- "The cruelty is the point" mainly in reference to the detention camps at our border. And corruption is all over as well. *sighs* It is hard to fight it.

Jean- The best part of September was always getting new school and art supplies. I can only imagine how much fun it must be to be an adult and get brand new real art supplies. My next-door neighbor is an artist and he was showing Gary his new pencils and was so darn happy! He does these super-realistic pencil drawings that look like they could be a photograph.
I will check out your gallery next to see the owl LO.

xoxo to everyone!

Sunny and warming up now. Need to get my hair washed and some things ready for class.

Chris, thanks for looking at the owl page and your nice comments. We heard it again last night, but just briefly. Hope next week works out with BFF. Nice having such good dinners and a doable puzzle. Ours is coming along, but the worst is still there. Poor Ray, hope the thunder is done for now. And yes, getting new art supplies is a great feeling.

HAGD all.

Popping for a quick "Hi" to all. Still struggling with sadness but it seems to be getting a bit better. Just not up to chatting. Been scanning in more photos and think I may be getting to the end of that soon. When I first started scanning photos in I had a different scanner/printer. I noticed that my 'new' scanner/printer does a much better job - so am re-scanning a bunch of photos. Only downside to the new scanner is that labels everything with Scan0001, Scan0002, etc and drops them in the Document folder. So I have to relabel everything once I move them into named folders - and before I add new photos to it. So that slows down the process but is a good thing as I get them labeled.

The heat has been so bad... upwards to 101, 102, etc! It isn't cooling off at night like it usually does - do no opening the house up in the mornings.

Good very late evening girls!
oh, Chris, let me hug you strong and tell me when you can't breathe LOL. You not just read my minds but wrote them exactly!
I know I shouldn't complain for such a stupid thing that I'm not able to go to movie/concert/theater. But at Monday I'll show you why this make me so cranky, girls. First I had trouble, for which I hope my family to not learn (or read somewhere  ), then this bull*things* that Pprinting House will delayed the wages, and all came too much to me.
But I stoped complaining, excuse me girls! Today was very hot, but my evening dog walk helps me to clear my mind. I'm back to the positivism (umm, actually I chose to ignore the problems).

Chris, I forgot to tell you yesterday that I really love this song "Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer" which you mentioned. Sorry that you have to postpone your meeting with your BF and hope next time to have better weather! Oh, poor Ray! I'm hear that they feel the static electricity at the air when have T-storms. Have fun with the puzzle! Sounds like book goes back even earlier at the time, locks intrigued.

Jean, I love to imagine you, sitting at your studio excited for the new supplies and the whole creative energy! Waiting to see what will coming from them! I'll have to check your owl page too! Owls are so charming!

Kay, nice to see you! I suspect that photos makes you blue because remind you precious memories! Hope it will come better when start to scrap them! Aww how annoying that you had to repeat all again with the new printer, but the best quality is most important! You wouldn't be satisfied from half done work!
OK, now I'll say something stupid, excuse me if you did this and I don't understand you, but:
you have to select all photos you want and press F2, then wrote name as for example "Egypt" and all selected photos are renamed from Scan0001, Scan0002, etc to Egypt (1) Egypt (2) , ect automatically. You relabel only selected photos so you can choose only Scan0012 - Scan0020 and make them Egypt (1) to Egypt (9) with one click. Hope I'm helpful! Or maybe you do it, but I misunderstood, sorry! :typing:

Hey all. I have been trying to get here but it seems there is no time. What I do with the time I have is anyone's guess. It just seems to go.

I have started fitness classes. Now this may not be earth shattering but I am not a fan of exercise in any way shape or form so for me this is a big deal. I have been aware that I have been gaining weight steadily since I had my knee replacement and I am not getting any kind of real exercise. The dog was supposed to get me out and about but he has a hip problem and can't walk too far. He also has anxiety and does not do well left alone. He pines for me and leaves little puddles on the floor.
I finally had enough when I went to Winners, found some really perfect dresses for my upcoming trip and found that even the large was too small. That was the last straw. I booked doggy daycare for the dog and signed up for fitness 3 days a week. It will cost me but I can't stand the way I look or feel. I have to laugh at myself in fitness as they do an aerobic routine to music and I just flounder around going left instead of right and usually 3 steps out of sync. Oh well I am moving and working every muscle group so what the hey. Eventually it will click, I hope.

I am in a bit of a slump creative wise. I can't seem to connect with anything that captures my interest. I am way ahead on all the challenges I host and have them ready to go which is a good thing as I will be away in August and have to have 1 challenge for August complete and 2 ready for Sept.

Maybe I will scan through Pinterest and see what is new there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Anyway I won't get anything done if I don't get at it. Cheers.
