:waving1 Hello and good morning to you!

I had to double-check my day and date this morning, on both my planner and my wall calendar. I feel very thrown off this week.
After yesterday's "oddities," shall I say, its no wonder!

If I told you my coworker finding a bong on one of our ping pong tables was *not* the strangest part of the day, would you believe me? :lol23: Actually, it was the strangest part, but the whole day was silly. *G*

The field trip was great, not sure why I was so worried. There were 9 HS kids and each had their own aide. The head teacher of the group is phenomenal and sweet and supportive. At one point, she asked a question about a tree, and I said something about Lauren being the tree guru and that I had big shoes to fill. She told me how amazing I was doing and that she'd pass that along to Anne (the director). It was super hot so we had them eat lunch in the main room, no point in being outside. The class was really excited about the s'more and we went to the shadier fire circle behind the main building. Another one of my coworkers was going to follow us out to build the fire- I kinda suck at that- hehe. We are all settled in around the fire circle when he radios me that the bear is in front of the main building and he is staying there to watch it. I go through the basics of fire building and have the group make a lot of noise. Then it dawns on me that if he is watching the bear, then I am making the fire.-- And I don't even have matches! Hahaha
He drives a box of matches down to us and then leaves. I am struggling to get the fire started. Lily and I went through a ton of matches just to get a little smoke. (NB: It wasn't just my awful fire-building skills, everything was damp from the rain and humidity but my fire skills sure didn't help! ;) )
We had about 10 minutes left to go when Fu-Xin got it lit, and then we had to figure out how to get past the bear to the parking lot for the bus.
The bear wasn't in the front which was good and we sang on the top of our lungs. We saw the bear across the street from the bus being yelled at by a man whose house the bear was visiting-- I was hoping that the bear would stick by him long enough to the kids settled.
So that was the field trip.

Oh yeah-- the bong! We walked past the stream and my coworker saw it just right there on the ping-pong table. Pot is legal in NJ but our property is alcohol/smoke/vape free. Not to mention it's for kids and families!! Our camp director ran down with a bag to grab it. Now it is sitting in the office and somebody is trying to figure out where in the world they left it! And it isn't something we will post on the public Lost and Found page :floorlaugh:

Absolutely never a dull moment there. Never.

I also kinda stepped in it, me and my big mouth. Nicole (camp director/one of the FT Educators) was working on a presentation proposal for a conference we are attending in September. She was having trouble getting the proposal started and I offered to help brainstorm. We are doing great, bouncing off ideas and topics and strategies. Anne (Main Director and Trustee) turns to me and asks if I want to co-present with Nicole. Ummmm... yes (and no!). I have never even been to any sort of professional conference, let alone co-present, but what a fantastic opportunity. Even if I have an anxiety attack and pass out right before it.

As I was cooking dinner, Anne shared a Doc with me that goes over the rules and guidelines for my campers and their parents. I have 7 kids signed up, most 4 yos. I asked her to add something about making sure they can get their clothes on and off independently, if they can't tie their shoes to wear slip ons or let counselors know, and that they are capable of carrying their own water bottles. And then one of the biggest-- remind their children to pay attention to their bodies-- we have scheduled bathroom breaks but let us know in advance if they need to go before it is urgent. The last thing I want to worry about is a kid having an accident in the forest. :thud:

It's getting real!!

(So excited! Nervous, to be sure, but excited!)

@faerywings Put RainX on windshield to help shed rain.
I have RainX. Of course, it is in *my* car! LOL! But that is a great idea for future reference.
The patio people should be here today, they said between 8-8:30!

Yuck to the pantry cleaning! I started that job last week and quickly gave up!
It is a thankless task. :nod1:
:D

Was able to get some of my scrap organizing done yesterday. While doing so, I realized that I was missing some of our bike trip pages. Then remembered why.....I lost those pages when my EHD crashed last year. So I spent some time yesterday recreating them! What a pain! I HATE re-doing things!
What a pain in the butt, I hope that it goes quickly!

Busy day yesterday. What did I do? I dont know. I just know I wasn't sitting down much. Oh yeah, cleaned the church pantry. Took the teens with me and we spent about 3 hours on it. Clearing everything out, organizing, throwing out crap from 10 years ago and all expired stuff. Why do we have a family size crockpot? Out! Why do we have squeeze bottles with no lids? Out! Crackers from 2015? OUT! I was in my happy place. A kitchen, and organizing. Maybe I should not say that out loud. Will confirm to you all just how crazy I am
1. Please come to my house and help me!
2. We know you are crazy, didn't need you to (re)confirm. LOL
I was tired but I wasn't fall over and cry tired wore out like before my surgeries. I cant wait to finish the other surgeries and then I will be unstoppable!!! Well, as unstoppable as my 5th decade body will allow :floorlaugh: I cant even begin to explain how HUGE a difference things are post lipidema surgery. And were only half done.
You are already unstoppable, much to the dismay of your Warden :p But this makes me so happy to hear, that bone-crushing fatigue is depressing and awful. How amazing it must feel to be able to do things your brain knows you can do and that your body agrees!
I know you don't share where in AK you live but sending good thoughts to you and anyone you might know who was affected by the earthquake and tsunami warning.
I donated blood this morning and this afternoon I am lightheaded and my blood pressure is quite low. That's never happened before; I donate regularly and never had a problem. I think it must be the heat and maybe not as hydrated as I should be. So I'm not bringing communion to the assisted living facility this afternoon but they will probably not even notice. I picked up a rotisserie chicken when I was out so dinner will be salad--no cooking.
Are you feeling normal today? The heat is awful and the humidity is worse. My mom was saying that she can't be outside very long at all before she feels a little woozy. Glad that you made all the right choices for the rest of your day.

David thought that was a good time to go outside and get on a ladder to take down the lights over the patio. Then he got irritated with me when I told him that he shouldn't be out there while we're hearing thunder. There's a reason men's life expectancy is less than women's. Sheesh.
MEN!!!! If not for women, they would have even shorter life expectancies!

Hugs to you all!

I missed posting in this thread yesterday. I slept in until 8:45AM and DD#1 slept in until 10AM!!! Guess we were both exhausted from all the errands, etc we did on Monday and Tuesday. So we had a very lazy day reading and resting. DD#1 went back to her son's house in late afternoon and spent last night there. He has a doctor's appt this morning and she is going along. Not sure if she will stay at his house tonight or come back here.

Talk about missing things... I scrapped A Whimsical Adventure's July Template challenge LO a couple of days ago and uploaded to the gallery and around digi-land that day but somehow didn't get it posted in the Challenge thread!!! Discovered it wasn't there this morning. :wow2::thud::eek:

Today is my parents' anniversary - so am missing them. Dad died in 1994 and mom in 2014. They had 57 wonderful years together.
Debating if I want to make the trek over to the main library and get my 'free' book (prize from the summer reading program) from the library Used book store or not. The main roads I normally use is closed down as there is new drainage system and new paving going in (and has been worked on for over a month now). So I have to take another route (2 miles longer) that circles up and around to the north to get to it. PITA!!!

Wow, @faerywings .... bears, bears, bears!!! Had to LOL over the one getting into the feeder on the back porch. Yep... I would be taking it down for awhile as a bear could come back looking for food. Glad to were warned about the beat at the main cabin and were able to get the kids safely to their bus. BTW... glad you have had your last doc's appt on your foot. And great news that your BFF is not moving very far away so you can still visit with her and the family.

Time to get dressed and get busy... HAGD

Ha! Exciting day!
You will do great with the co-presentation!

Good afternoon!
I've been sleeping until around 8:30 lately!
Today I had to return a 10x10 scrapbook to Amazon because it didn't have the clear sheets like I thought. It had black cardboard sheets and it was a set with runner tape and stickers. NOPE! Not going backwards, LOL! I had to create an account at USP to find out where I could return the scrapbook. Long story short, the CVS right down the street does that! WOOHOO!

Then I had to run to another CVS to return a misprinted 12x12 page I picked up yesterday that was supposed to be printed on adhesive paper. "The boss" ran it on the wrong paper, so the clerk redid it for me! Perfection! I rounded the corners with my Creative Memories corner rounder hoping that helps with no catching the corners and ripping it off the scrapbook cover! But, now I'm concerned about the page being scratched up in storage. Any suggestions on how to protect it?

When I got back to Mark's shop area he had just confirmed our lunch date. But since I was at his shop I pulled into the parking lot and texted him if he wanted to do breakfast instead and that I was there to pick him up. So he finished up what he was doing and came out and we went to breakfast.

Got back home and did some church work and put a bill in the mailbox. Unpacked some Kohl's and Revive deliveries. Hung the new blackout curtains in the guest room. I hung the new ones in our bedroom that I received yesterday. I also ordered a couch cover for the couch Mark lays in to watch TV and protect it from Asher maybe puking on the couch. Unbeknownst to me, it is actually a daybed cover. Fortunately it fits!

Tomorrow I will be running to Wild Birds Unlimited to take advantage of their deal to buy $75 and get a free birdseed column! I should be finished with my spending spree for awhile after that! Now I need to save up for the car inspection and insurance coming up in a couple of months!

Today, I want to look into a place to stay midway between us and FL. My oldest daughter has invited us to join them at a house they are renting for a week on the Gulf side of FL mid-August. That should be fun! Especially since we get to stay free of charge.....except for our meals and gas!

OK, gotta get that address from my DD so I can get busy on reservations.

Have a great afternoon/evening!
