*cracks knuckles but silently*
I hate the sound of cracking joints/knuckles so I am figuratively doing that to prepare myself for a busy day. At least I don't have to drive Cait to work like I did yesterday. She started out but was feeling dizzy so came back home. I brought her in and Gary picked her up. She is better today.
My mom called once about the party, nope make that twice... Only mentioned the cake once and that was to basically say that it was ordered. (and to repeat what choices were made- yes, white piping and roses/"Mastered it," written in black. LOL!!! ) It is a compulsion.

I have good news!! I cleaned for my friend and I didn't knock over 1 weapon. I even vacuumed upstairs. Upstairs is literally wall-to-wall weapons, including an iron maiden. There are about 6 feet of carpet that show and I run the vacuum every once in a while just to get rid of the cat hair. It amazes me when I do that and come out with all toes intact.

I have to pick up groceries and run a couple of errands in town then it is back to party prep. Gary is cooking his vodka sauce this morning and I have to defrost the vegan breadstick dough to bake them tomorrow. I have to get out in the yard, the plants really need water desperately. We were supposed to have T-storms the last couple of days and got nothing, there has been no "good" rain in so long and everything is getting crispy. Again I wish I could be outside and not feel the need to "work." My feet are white and there is a tan line around my ankles. I don't think I can wear sandals Saturday, my feet will look super silly!

Shoot, I am running late again. xoxoxo

@BrightEyes That makes my heart very happy, that you had a fab time with your Red Hats! I hope that your knee is doing better today and that you rested it yesterday. You *did* rest it yesterday???
I am in awe that you are copying and deleting without getting totally overwhelmed and giving up. So awesome that you recognized that feeling and organized yourself. LOL-ing that you had kits from 2014-15. I am sure that I do too

@tanteva IKEA is like a dream world to me. Does it get you all pumped up, thinking about how you are going to get organized and want to buy *everything* to help you do that? Just looking at their website does that to me. Good to hear that Urban "behaved" :D:D:D
Oldest expiration date: My guess is going to be Oct 2010 *wink*

@taxed4ever Can't wait to hear about your hike!

@Cherylndesigns You were close, only two phone calls from my mom. Alcohol *and* dogs-- thanks for the invite, I am on my way!!!!

@bcgal00 Oh my goodness, that is *wonderful* to hear that you are getting some energy back!!! Was that one of the first times you have been on a walk in the last couple of weeks? I am happy you got to see the mama and baby deer! Kinda like they are welcoming you back

@LSlycord Oh no!! That stinks about the internet being out. Can you make up any of the hours on the weekend?
So sorry that you had a bad experience at the dentist too.

Good morning ladies. I feel ok today after my walk yesterday, still a bit tired and foggy but not bad, but the lymph nodes are still swollen along the left side of my neck from the collarbone right up to behind my ear. I hate having a mystery illness that no one has figured out yet.

Jen and Darrell got back last night from the ranch in WA (first trip since covid). There was a lot of debris and dust to clean up but they got it all done and now the trailer is ready to put up for sale. They left keys at the front office so we can arrange for people to check in with them and get the keys to go look. So hopefully the only time we'll need to go will be to complete a sale and exchange money and title transfer. Fingers crossed. Next summer I would like to look into renting a cabin on a lake for a week or two for us, Jen and the dogs. I don't think I'll miss our trailer at all.

Hopefully the guys will be coming today to widen the driveway but they way things work around here, we'll see. It's tight getting 3 cars lined up side by side so another 4 feet will be nice to have. I get the middle spot (so when winter comes I will have a direct straight line into the garage).

Remi is barking to go out so I'd better go...

Wow... I really slept in this morning. Didn't wake up until 8 AM!!! Already too warm to open the house so have a feeling that the A/C will be coming on around mid-day. Usually doesn't kick on until around 6PM but we are in "above normal temps" all week and into next week. Finally got the drip system running correctly this week. The "Seasonal Adjustment" setting needed to be set to 100% to get it to run the full amount of watering time. I had been hand-watering the new plants to make sure they settled into their new places but now can let the system do the watering.

I have to share a funny story that happened at the RH lunch. The hostess has always made 'strong' coffee so I only poured about 3/4 cup. I took a sip after adding creamer and choked on it as it was so strong! Poured half of it out and added water then nuked it (and it was still almost too strong). About that time the rest of the gals arrived and one said "I smell coffee... got to get a cup!" The hostess and I cracked up as she explained that the coffee is a 'bit strong today'. Then she goes on to tell us that she only makes coffee in that 12 cup coffee pot when she has company over and never can remember how much coffee grounds to use. When asked how much she used, she said she put in a CUP of grounds then decided to add another 1/2 CUP as the basket didn't look FULL ENOUGH!!! :rolleyes:o_O:rolleyes: I only use about 1/2 Cup when I make mine so this was so strong you could stand a spoon up in it!!! I told her I have an extra coffee scoop that I will give her - and write the # needed on it (4 heaping). Needless to say, none of us had a second cup of coffee!!! :D

Yes, Chris.... I did rest my knee yesterday... even though I was at the computer copying/deleting files 2/3 of the day. I have a foot stool under the desk that I prop my feet on with the knee slightly bent. Glad I took the time to go through the folders/files and note which designers have retired kits and which designers are no longer in the shops. And so happy that I have been adding "retired" to the folder names over the past few years. Then I spent about 2 hours pulling out DVDs/CDs from zippered binders, boxes, bins etc and sorting them. They go all the way back to when I first started digi-scrapping. I want to use the binders to store the ones I am making now... sorted by designer and/or store. Now I can find them if I need them. Have had several designers I CT'ed for switch stores or retire for awhile then come back to designing. Got the rest of them sorted by designer/shop/etc and moved into bins and boxes. I have been meaning to get them re-organized for the past several years but never took the time to do it. Will be working on copying/deleting again today.

@bcgal00 Nice that you were feeling well enough to go for a walk. How delightful that you saw the deer and her baby! Hoping that the medicine will clear up whatever is going on with you. Bet that extra 4' of driveway will really help when parking cars.

I am late getting started so have to get busy.

Morning ladies... another sunny morning I am loving that we finally have some summer weather! Yesterday's hike was so pretty! One of my many favourites! We added on an extra 3kms to the hike, so it turned into an almost 10km one. So great to be out in the fresh air! I slept like a baby last night! Today I am going to do a page with some of the photos that I took yesterday on the hike. I need to make some more breakfast muffins for my Gary and other than that, it will be a pretty quiet day.

@faerywings - That client that you clean for really has a thing for weapons huh?? I would find it pretty creepy to be in his house! I am thinking that he is a single man? What would a woman think if she were dating him and walked into his house of horrors LOL. I am sure if he is your friend than he must be a very nice man!! Glad to hear that your mom only mentioned the cake twice! Hope you get some more things checked off of your to do list today, when is the party? Is it this weekend? You might have to spray tan your feet so you can wear some sandals LOL. It really is amazing how quickly everything dries up, our plants are very thirsty now too and we are watering them constantly. Oh BTW our neighbours beside us finally got their underground sprinklers fixed, it is so nice to not have a river running down the side of our house anymore! Hope that Caitlyn is feeling better today! That is awful to have dizziness!

@bcgal00 - I am happy too that you are feeling like you have a bit more energy! It is so strange that no one can figure out just what the heck is going on with you! I wonder if it is something to do with all of the stress that you have been under for the past few years!! Sometimes our bodies does strange things when we are under constant stress! I developed TMJD after years of being stressed out about my Heather, who knew stress could cause a condition like that! That is great that Jen and D went to close up the trailer and are back safe and sound! Hopefully it will sell quickly! Another chapter of your life closed. It is good that you won't miss it! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the driveway gets done very quickly, but yup it is hard to get workers when you really want them. Hope you are feeling up to a nice walk again today! (((hugs)))

@BrightEyes - Love your story from your RH party!! My SIL Linda is the same way, she doesn't drink coffee so when she has to make some for others she always forgets how much to add! I think that now she has a note attached to her coffee container on just how much to use. You sure are busy getting your files all organized! Hope you get finished in a timely manner! Glad you are taking care of your knee! Enjoy your day!

Ok the boys are calling so I gotta go CYL

Morning all. I slept for 8 straight hours and feel so rested.

Chris @faerywings I had to laugh "alcohol and dogs" - ya baby! It's so weird around here - most people keep their dogs outside - some of them even have heated dog houses. NO WAY I have dogs because they're part of the family! So, I was close on your mom, huh? LOL Did you impale yourself on any of the torture chamber "toys"?

Chuck wants to watch The Open Golf Tournament that started this morning in St. Andrews, Scotland. He's SO funny - he's not one of those guys who'll watch ANY sports that's on, but if a few events are on, he MUST watch them. It's being televised live only on Fubu. When he went to that APP on our TV, it showed that I had an account. He was pacing until I got up to log him in. Long story short - I do not have an account on Fubu - and it's like $70 a month! No way! He went in to his computer and signed up for a 7 day free trial. I told him to just not forget to cancel it before the 7 days was up. He's happily watching the golf match now.

I better go and get organized for my day.
XOXO

Good evening ladies. Internet is back up and running. I am still irritated but it is working now so I'll try to just focus in on what is going right...and having internet is definitely going right! They have a line running through our yard and will come back to bury it sometime between now and July 31. I have given Brian explicit instructions to be careful when he mows. LOL

@faerywings I'm glad to hear that Cait is feeling ok today. And I love that wording for the cake...maybe not quite as good as the Welcome home from prison...but close! LOL If the engagement party is at Tom's mom's house, you may need a before and after party at your place.

@BrightEyes a cup of grounds for 12 cups...oh my! We are big time coffee drinkers here but I don't think I could drink anything that strong!

@Cherylndesigns I agree with dogs are part of our family. They are inside dogs...they sleep in our beds, they get on our furniture...they are inside dogs. Just like the kids are inside kids! ;-)

@taxed4ever what was the temperature while you were taking that hike? You live in such a beautiful area. I'm jealous! It is just too hot to walk outside right now! I'm digging out the treadmill this weekend because I really haven't done much walking since we got home from Europe and I sure need to get back to walking. It's getting close to travel time now! Yippee!

@bcgal00 it will be so nice to have your trailer sold. I'm sorry that they can't figure out what is wrong. That is really and truly the most stressful thing.

We are getting a nice heavy rain right now which is good...I noticed this evening that my plants are looking a little rugged. I'll talk to all of you in the morning.
