Yeah, I was tired yesterday. And yeah, I am even more so today. I, not surprisingly, didn't sleep well last night. What an utter heartbreaking mess of a day.
I know we aren't supposed to talk politics but what happened in the Capital-- that feels beyond politics. SMH. :( The kids and I were all watching/listening to Congress separately but popped into each other's rooms to comment (Scott was watching the Senate, Cait was with the House, and I was listening to CSPAN flipping between the two) when all h*** broke loose. Cait and I spent the rest of the afternoon watching the news together. Lots of heated discussion at dinner- not disagreeing with each other, just differing perspectives and opinions on the solutions- and if there are any.
Just a very sad and scary time.

Some good news is that NJ is opening up vaccinations to both paid and volunteer firefighters so I think my dad should be able to get vaccinated quickly. Dogs are good, rats are good. And *fingers crossed that we will have hot water again today!*
Gary took a quick shower yesterday- he had a little bit of warm water- and I was able to do a few dishes before it ran out. Those are all good things.

Hugs to all of you- sorry that I am not in a better mood/head space right now

Felis-- :pound: Sounds like you had all of your bases covered for your trip to the bank. I am sorry that you still had to pay the fine.
Thanks for asking about Whisky- nothing much keeps that dog down. I am not sure if it was the chewy treat Gary gave her or if she was disgusting and eating poop again. I will have to look for the Host to read. I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week- more often in the summer but in the winter, there isn't much of a point.
On a day like today-- we all get Irish Coffee! LOL

Cheryl- they are "coils" off of the furnace but close enough :D
I really love how you combined the Scripture and Prayers together- good energy and very personal

Trudy- How was the visit with your sister for her b-day? It must have been nice to see everyone even if from a distance.

Nancy- well I can see that you posted before said h*** broke lose. Is it bad that I am cynically chuckling at your statement that it should take long? The highlight of my day was thinking that McConnell loses the gavel - my goodness things might actually get done in the Senate

Dogs gotta go out... love to you all

Morning ladies... Well it has been quite the evening/morning for all of you in the States!! Who would have thought that things would get so bad for you all!! Ok I will not say anything more :tape: This is our happy place! Yesterday was lovely as I spent over 2 hours with my sisters chatting and catching up, all masked up but that's ok we were together! Our sister loved her flowers, her gift certificate to SweetLegs and the Black Forest Cake we picked up for her. Oh and her card too. We spent the time solving all the worlds problems LOL. Covered every subject we could think of and now we feel connected again. The only thing missing was the hugs that we normally do when we see each other  I miss hugs!! I get lots of them from my DH, but...well you know. Today I will be finally mixing my paints and hopefully getting this painting poured. I will see if I can get up the courage to tilt this large canvas on my own LOL. Other than that not much happening for me today except getting my grocery order started so I can pick it up tomorrow after my swim. It will be a very quiet weekend as far as I know, so hope to get some more scrapping done.

Chris - It must have been a very stressful night at your house! I am glad that things turned out the way that they did, but it sure should have never happened in the first place! I hope that you are able to get some rest at some point today! You could probably use a nice long nap! I am happy to hear that your Dad will soon be able to get his vaccination shot, hopefully you will all be getting it soon! My sister who works in a Long Term Care Home is getting hers in the next day or so. I was happy to hear that it is finally getting distributed to the front line workers here! Keeping my fingers crossed for you have hot water today!! Sending good thoughts and virtual hugs your way!

Nancy - You should not be sorry that Canada lost the world jrs. The USA team were certainly the better team! It was a great game, sorry that it was on so very late for you though! Yes it must have been devastating for the losers, I feel badly for those young men too! Hope you did not stay up all night watching the horror show in the Senate last night!

Cheryl - I had to laugh over your comment about Daisy being a polyester dog! :pound: Our dog when we were young used to take off like that for hours on end and come back drenched and happy as a clam! It did not impress my Mother too much though having to clean up after him LOL. Hope you get better WiFi soon!

Ok I am sure that Heather will be calling soon as both boys will be home today. Hopefully Hunter is not being a pest to his brother who is doing on-line classes today. Have a great Thursday everyone!

Morning, all. Yesterday was a busy day... but didn't get everything done that I had hoped would happen. Did have the security system tech check everything out - haven't had it done in a few years and it was time. Changing who my 'on call person' is if the alarm goes off and they can't reach me. Had plans to do the laundry but only got the towels done... and the hamper is over-flowing. So that is 1st on my list today. Missed 'senior hours' at the grocery store this AM. Oh, well... it was only 22* at 7 AM and no way I wanted to go out when it is that cold.

For some reason my automatic back-up to the ExHD is not working since the Windows10 update a couple of months ago. I have reprogrammed it but still not working like it should... just like the log-ins are not automatically there!!! So I did it manually before noon and went off to do a few things and FORGOT ABOUT IT!!! :noidea: Noticed it right before I went to bed last night because the light from the monitor was lighting up the craft room. Geeze!!!

No personals today or tomorrow. Will be taking the day off tomorrow.

Hi girls,
semi-successful day for me. I was able to download all my kits, so now I don't have worries about the site updates :p. It was more than I planned, as very surprisingly download happened very fast. It's not from the connection as its speed is same, so probably is something at my computer. As I was told to you previous time 60 kits takes me around 5 hours and today 130 kits for only 2 hours, madness, but I was so happy and pleased!
Most of you are probably forget for Christmas till now, but in my house today is the day for take the decoration down. As only me and dad are at home now, and he put the things in wrong boxes, which will create mess and scandals next December. So I was forced politely but categorically to refuse his help and do it by my own. It didn't seem difficult because we was sad and didn't put the whole decoration as usual. But I wasn't able to do it at the time I had. I'm only half done and will continued probably at the weekend. At least the most visible elements are taken down now. Weather is so different from day to day, today was very cloudy and dark, most of the day we had to use lamps and this made me languid, I guess. It's not have rational explanation how the time flew away.

Chris, you can talk for politics and whatever you want! As a side watcher I can't understand what exactly happens, the news from US are confusing and only one is sure it's so sad that have victims!
Please not allow things that are beyond your control to keeps you awake!
If you find the Host to read, it will worth it, I can guarantee that, but it's also sad at few moments, so don't be bad surprised! The Edward's part of Twilight is still not translated to my language and I'm starting to lose hope! It's so frustrating as the Reimagined came fast. It's kind of strange that Twilight again become a thing in 2020, but the whole year was mad :twitch:.

Trudy, the meeting with your sisters sounds so fun and I'm very happy for you!

Kay, oh how unpleasant that you again have issues with the ExHD! Hope to find a way to make the Windows act normal!

Cheryl, it's cute how much Daisy enjoy to the new place too! I would love to see the pictures, tell us when you upload them! Absolutely love and understand this mix of Scriptures and Cherokee Prayers as it's similar to the way we are created our culture too.

Nancy, hope you'll stay concentrated on walks and surrounding things and away from the news!

Hello my lovelies.

I'm glad we don't have "live tv" right now. I was hoping last night that I did, because I was just catching stuff on my phone. We only have wifi TV - Roku, but nothing live. It's all on a several hour delay.

Yes, Trudy, I have always called Daisy my "polyester dog". I just told her that she looks like a little lamb today after her soaking and toweling off yesterday. She looks so cute, but her hair is like little bristles today. Haha

Chris and Felis, I'm so glad you love my mixture of Scripture and Cherokee. In the "spirit" of everything we're going through right now, maybe this will bring you peace, as it does me. This is the original writing on MY scraproom window sash. I sit here looking out into the woods every day and feel the strength of this Cherokee Prayer. I'm unable to upload the picture, but here's the link: https://photos.google.com/search/Cherokee prayer/photo/AF1QipNO_vDld3To5IZK5irBOkgXEgWQvMTNu2ANBDhT This is in MY house and after that was written, that glorious sun shaft broke through the clouds like it was Heavenly.

Hugs to all
