Drat! I forgot that I still had some coffee in my mug, took a sip, and it is ice-cold. Blech. Could be worse... I could be fasting and not have coffee. Or no electricity and not have coffee. I am not going to bother with imagining running out of coffee, that would be highly unlikely.
We take our coffee very seriously here.
I had another boring day, mostly housework. I finished my AJ page, I really enjoy making them so much. It is the clean design pages I find the hardest to do. Caitlyn and I worked on the puzzle for a while. It is a 1500 piece one, big but not difficult. It is a Micky Mouse filmstrips/through the years so lots of colors. The one that I got for her is the Haunted Mansion and it is almost entirely black. eep.
Scott had a couple of difficult days. He had been helping Sam move out of the house she shared with Ian and they found more details about what had been going on and for how long. She came back here and they were up most of the night talking and supporting each other. He was able to take a nap and eat dinner so at least physically he is in a much better place. Mentally- he really is doing so much better in that area too. He recognizes that it is going to be hard but appreciates that this is the first time he is single as an adult. He and LL were 15/16 when they met so he is thinking about how he is going to evolve as an adult. I am pretty darn impressed. I would still be curled up, fetal position if I were in his shoes.
My other impressively mature kid is *not* applying for a job that she was interested in. It was a position where she did undergrad and master's classes. Even though she knows she would be good at it and that her internship supervisor has been working with her to get her "in" she is not going to apply b/c she also needs to step out of her comfort zone. She is very much like me, likes the familiar, and gets anxious at new things so for her to decide this was kinda huge. We all cheered her on when she told us that.
We do a lot of cheering in this house-- I didn't mention it before but the family got me a Roomba for Christmas. We named it C Sweepio. You should have seen us cheering him on when he figured out how to get out from under a desk. We are a bunch of dorks.
I am cleaning this morning. My friend is a teacher and her school is remote so I want to get in as soon as I can before she needs to be online. HAGD!!!
