How is everyone doing today? I am tired but really, what else is new? I didn't take a nap yesterday. I probably should have but I hate how I feel when I get up from one. I ended up puttering for the most part. Some laundry, some filing to get ready for the paperwork for the next tax return season.
Gary and I shoveled and cleaned off the cars. We only got about 4" of snow and we are going to be warming up by the weekend so hopefully, it will all melt. However, W was *very* happy to be outside, gobbling up snow and ice. She kept whining to go out but when we went out, she only wanted to play. We 4 humans went out back for a while too. My neighbor's cat got outside on Tuesday and then another escaped when he was trying to call for the first. We were out tracking kitty paw prints in the snow. They seem to be mostly under the deck but we didn't see or hear them. I know cats are resourceful but I want them to be back inside where it is warm and dry with their human.

Speaking of cats, Kibs was even weaker yesterday than the day before. I am bringing her into the vet this morning and she will have the u/s at some point today. I guess they will call us in the afternoon to let us know what they found and what to do about it. If anything can be done. It is what it is...

My "relaxation" of the day was to do a bit of crocheting. Or I should clarify-- ripping out some of the crocheting that I did the day before. Which was ripped out from what I did the day before *that.*
I apparently do not know how to read or to count.

I know that I will be busy today. When I am worried about something and it is out of my control, I have to keep moving. Already, I am trying to decide in the back of my mind if I want to clean out the upstairs linen closet or the fridge/pantry. Who knows, maybe I will do both. :/

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day! (And thank you in advance for your good thoughts about Kibs- I know you will be sending them  )

Felis- I am proud of you for doing yoga! When I am really tight, I don't feel it in the stretch while I am doing it but afterward- ouch! Are you still sore today?
I am coming to terms abotuKibs a little more than I was a few days ago. I know that we love her even when she made us crazy- you allrememebrhow many time s I yelled about her climbing all over my keyboard while I was trying to type. But she still got snuggles anyway :)

The story of how we got Kib was we were buying rat food at our local pet store for Scott's rats and we walked out with rat food, Kib, and another rat- both the kitten and the rat were rescues, I guess that is what we do. LOL

Rae- good for you for spreading healthy eating info to your friends! and :high5: for doing your stretches too. I hope that I will be feeling up to it in another day or so soIi can join back in.

Trudy- ugh about the delivery schedule- isn't that always the way it goes?? But at least you got to start your day talking to Heather yay!

jean- that sounds like you got some good computer-shopping karma! I think my entire family agrees with you and wishes I could just rest. hehe!

Better post this so I can get Kibs all set to head out. Is it horrific of me to slightly hope that is she has no hope of getting better that she has passed peacefully overnight?
anyway-- xoxoo!

good morning I am sending you Chris hugs and good vibes for Kibs at vet today!

My day yesterday was a do nothing day. Had a good time at dinner with my girlfriend and her daughter. Her daughter is having horrible back pain and she is not even 30. So sad she is way to young. Watched hockey and so glad the Ducks defeated the Penguins as that helps my Devils. But was fun to watch my former Devil Adam Henrique score against the Pens. Also thought of you Trudy as the Bruins soundly defeated the Canadiens. Tonight I have a home game against the Capitals. The Capitals are coming off their bye week and because of the weather they did not get a chance to practice so is that a good thing for my team as they might be rusty. I sure hope so.

Chris we barely had any snow and it stopped by midday and then sun came out and it all melted on the sidewalks and streets. Still on the lawns. The deer are out and they are causing Luther to bark his head off! He was up around 5:30am not happy they were on his lawn. Way too early for me.

Felis great that you are doing all this yoga and that you are feeling good about the results. That keeps one motivated.

Trudy that is too bad the weather did not cooperate so you could not hike. I love the description of your MG needing to be on the move. I cant believe he will ever retire. Glad you got the new washer and drier in even thought it had to be a pain to wait. My DH finally agreed that there had to be a leak in the steam pipes as the water kept disappearing from the furnace. He really did not want to deal with it but I found the wet spot and heard the drips so he finally fixed it and what a difference it has made in the heat. But so irritating that he would not believe that there was a leak. Men! LOL Glad that you are having such good conversations with Heather and that all is good.

Rae I am not surprised that your friends want to know more about your weight loss. You have done such an amazing job and you did the research. Bet Taz had a great time at day care. I am sending Luther tomorrow.

Jean I love going to the apple store to see all the new gadgets. I could spend a fortune there. I love gadgets.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... another grey, wet day again today, oh well it is the usual weather out here on the Wet Coast! Very windy today though, so I suppose we will have a bunch of branches and pine cones to clean up in the yard again. Happy for the skiers though as Mt. Washington is supposed to get a big dump of fresh snow over the next few days. My son and his family will be very glad as they have not had much of a ski season so far this year. Not much for me to do today so I hope to work a bit more on my recipe book and perhaps start working on a book for hikes too. A few things to catch up on here at the O and that is pretty much my day.

Chris - Sending you lots of good thoughts and hugs too, it is so hard to have to deal with sick pets, sometimes the circle of life is cruel, but you made life for all of your pets so much better than what it could have been! Too funny about the crocheting! It sounds like something I would be doing if I was knitting again, never could count very well :becky: I am the same when I am worried about something, I clean, clean, clean or get busy doing some crazy little project, it is good to keep busy and not think about anything.

Nancy - Thanks for thinking of us as the Bruins spanked those Canadiens! DH was very happy! We sometimes have a hard time watching those games, we just get too involved and are both yelling at the TV LOL wonder what it does to our blood pressure?? I am with you and do not believe that he will ever retire LOL, so I encourage him to keep working just as long as he wants! Funny that your hubby did not want to have to deal with the leak, sounds like he thought if he ignored it long enough it might just go away? :pound: Ugh on the early morning with Luther and the deer, I saw a video last night from someone who lives in my old home town and the huge elk herd that just wanders all over the neighbourhoods, I could not believe how many there were. Luther would have a fit LOL.

:hello to everyone else here today I hope you all enjoy your thursday!

Good morning, ladies. It's a torrential downpour here so I plan to stay indoors today and will do the grocery shopping tomorrow (need supplies for my pot-luck dishes). I'm going to make a dessert bar recipe and crockpot salsa chicken, to bring on Saturday. We decided to not go into Bellingham to shop, instead we will pay our strata fee at the ranch and then pop into Safeway in Lynden (the little town we pass thru on the way back to the border), so we'll get home before the crockpot dish is ready and then can head over to our game night with friends. I'll make the dessert tomorrow night. I'm going to make two batches, one to bring and one to freeze for me. I finished the last piece last night that I had frozen from Christmas baking so need more now. Desserts are definitely something I need to make myself (not store bought) b/c I need to use a paleo-friendly sugar substitute. Plus, when I make it myself, its easy to portion control when freezing. I have little containers that I put a few squares in so each time I thaw one out, it is 2 servings.

Taz is snoozing in my chair, he's worn out from doggie daycare yesterday LOL. I'll get him out for a quick walk later but in this weather, I want to remain indoors as much as I can, it looks nasty out there.

Chris - sounds like you have the right attitude about Kib. Whichever news you get later, you know you have given lots of love and care, and take comfort in that. I had a dream last night about cleaning/organizing the pantry LOL. All I remember is that I was proudly showing someone how one big shelf was empty, was all cleaned out and I had washed everything down. What the heck does that mean dream-wise??? LOL.

Trudy - enjoy your quiet day and sounds like you'll get some scrapping done too. I sure haven't done much of that lately. I sure miss my old schedule of less work hours and more "me" time. I used to scrap a page almost every day and now I can't even seem to get one a week done. Oh well...nothing I can do. My life obligations are greater than my scrap obligations.

Nancy - you get deer in your yard???? How cool is that! We were driving down a side road last wkend while on Bowen Island and I saw what I thought was a big lawn display but Bailey laughed and said no....it was the local deer that hangs out around the neighborhood, lounging in the yards and porches of the residents LOL.

Jean, Felis, everyone else....hope you all have a great day. I'm getting another coffee and getting to work for the morning now.

Just feeling a little imbalanced with the news of the changes in Youtube revenue requirements. Wishing I could find time to do another challenge here.

Hello girls,
the Thursday weather here was awful, very strong wind. Many towns have a problems. Here don't have a damages, except the losing of power and web and phone connection.
But, oh dear, the street dogs was so helpless on this awful wind which bite with his cold (cats of course found a better places to hide). Probably in US you will laughing on this kind of wind, but in Europe where we don't have tornadoes, we was totally unprepared for strong wind.

However Friday is my mom birthday.
So I'll catch all that I miss from the chat at the weekend sorry, girls!

Chris, I keep you and Heather in my mind and in my hopes (since I quarreled with the gods) even till I deal with my things. I hope that the results will gives right direction how to treat it!
Nope, after the first pain from the stretching gone I'm feel so good from it. I even repeat them with no problem. But no yoga yesterday, I was too worried and upset and to be honest lazy. It was stressful to watch all homeless dog in my area, they sleep under the balconies or in small distances between garages, where don't accumulates snow, but at some reasons the whole pack was out on the wind yesterday, they freeze and in same time act aggressive one each other. So worried! Nature makes them act weird.

Nancy, so good that you had good time with your friends! Poor girl, I'm in same situation on 31 my knees and elbows are so weak and often painful, this is because our life is so unhealthy and poisoned from the modern way of living.

Trudy, I hope your wind is not so strong like here! Have a fun inside! This book for hikes will be lovely, because I know the pages that you usually do. I hope to scrap at weekend too!

Rae, I hope the weather is better for shopping today! I'm curious for good sugar substitute, in past I tried to be sugar free, but it is so expensive here. I love the honey, but maybe is not paleo. I watch the TV show where the local equivalent of Dr.Oz explains the good sides of Stevia and it healthy qualities.

Good that I prepare my answer on WordPad, because we lost web connection again just right now. So better to post fast and go to the mom's party! :clap2:
