Hey there, dear O-Zies! Good morning/evening to you all.
It feels like it should be a weekend. It is so quiet and dark in my house. Starting Monday things will be busier in the mornings again with Cait starting school. I cannot get over that this is her last semester.
It was close to not being the case yesterday. The master's program is always a bit messed up and Covid has made it worse. Yesterday, she logged in to check her schedule and they switched her classes around without notifying her. But the worst part was that she has two classes that she *has* to take. One of the sections got dropped so they put her in the only other section of that class. Which is when she is already scheduled for the other class. Yes, they put her in both classes at the same time. She spent all day trying to drop/add classes that would fit in her schedule, work around her internship, and satisfy all of the course req's she needs to graduate this May. For her electives, he had registered for one specific class that she *really* wanted, that got switched to a similar one but her second choice. That also got dropped and now she has a totally different elective. To say that she is frustrated is an understatement. Part of her wanted to take a semester off but she knew that was the wrong option.

Aside from listening to her vent and cleaning for my friend, my day was bor-ing. I paid bills and cleaned the kitchen. The fun never ends. *G*

I have no plans today either. I think I might scroll through gardening websites. Maybe that will cheer me up?

Wishing all of you a fab day with only good things coming to you xoxo

@LSlycord Good for you for noticing a difference in your energy!
How did the job interview go yesterday? Good luck on the one today too. Are you planning on going back FT or PT?
Shaun is my kind of kid-- :) I am thrilled that I have had my kids as long as I have and they could stay here forever too.
The ABC book is going to be great! Love the idea of it being a year-long project. And Billy Joel- I bet he is going to be happily shocked when he gets the tix! I bet the trip to the EU is going to give lots of ABC opportunities for the book too.

@taxed4ever Did the rain stop yet? Hope you aren't floating away in the mud.
yay on the t-shirts getting done!! I am sure that the boys are going to be so excited and will ask for more soon ;)
Caitlyn is making a t-shirt for Tom with his band's logo on it and it looks like a bunch of scribbles. I am sure she is going to have "fun" turning that into an SVG file too. The things people do for love!
Jackie is going to love the quilt pattern, I wonder why you had it. It is like me having knitting needles- I wish I could knit but nope, I can't, not even a little bit
Oh wow, that must be hard to hear FIL talk about things that he never did. That will be a key if we ever worry about my mom, she tells the same stories again and again (times 1 billion) but they never vary. I hope the family is able to find home care or something. Not a happy conversation at all. :(

@bcgal00 congrats on losing some lbs! Go nice and easy with the weight lifting when you begin. Can you wear your brace for stabilization when you start?
You have every good thought I have for B and the TBI treatments/placements. I imagine it will take a lot of work to get everything set in place but I know you and Jen will do everything in your power to make it so.
I don't know how you withstand Remi's eyes if she begs for a toy. We got our dogs a Wubba that is covered in rubber on the knot end and that looks the same as it did 3 weeks ago. That is unheard of with a lot of tug toys.
It is the Wubba Comet:

We weren't able to find any Indestructibles at TJ Maxx this year so some of the ones we got have been de-stuffed and de-squeaked already.

@Cherylndesigns Did you sleep any better last night?
So relieved that the family is starting to feel better, hopefully, no one else gets sick. *fingers crossed*
The heat was for my back, my arm has been fine. How is yours today? I have Voltaren pain patches that I use if the back gets too bad. Thankfully, I only needed heat and Aleve this time around.

@tjscraps ugggghhhhhhhh, So so sorry that you needed a second round. Hopefully, they got it all???
Hang in there, you have all of us behind you for supporting you and DH.

@mom2triplets04 Any updates on Myla? Hope she is doing ok!!
Stay warm!!

@Kythe you are ahead of us, our lights are still up. It has been way too cold for Gary to get them down.
I hope that the weather has cleared up so you can walk a bit today.
Congrats on figuring out the challenge! I think I am going to use that D&B technique a lot.

Sending love to you all!

Good morning. I did it! I purchased a Wacom One tablet...the small one so that if I find that I don't use it, I'm not out much money. And, I'm really a pretty simple scrapper so it should be ok...fingers crossed. Took advantage of Amazon Prime and I will have my tablet tonight...again I have fingers crossed. Seems with the way things are today, need to live with fingers crossed.

Anyway, got through the interview yesterday. It went well I think and we will see if I get called back for a second interview. Then I have another interview this afternoon with a different company. In the meantime, I'm soaking up enjoying my free time.

I am off to the gallery and I will be back later with personals. I am challenging myself to comment on each layout in the January challenges. There are lots of layouts and I'm behind but I am sticking with this as my goal.

I'm UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! UGH! Thought I'd come and talk to my friends. It's only 8 am here and Chuck isn't even up yet. If I go out to put the coffee on, I'll be accosted by the dog and the cat. Not ready for that yet. I THINK I might lay back down. Oh boy, I had a scare last night - I got SO sick and it came on me so fast! I was scrapping and I got to feeling worse and worse and all of a sudden I knew I had to make it to the bed. I laid on top of the bed and did my deep breathing to keep from getting sick. I just knew I had "IT" (I'm not going to jinx myself by saying that word). I had to get up twice, but the horrible nausea/dizziness/sickness finally started letting up. I went to bed about 10. I slept in my clothes and slippers. I feel better this morning and I'm SO thankful!! I hope it was just a passing bug of some kind, but it felt like the old time flu. I COULD have gotten "it" from the family - that incubation period is real sketchy. The "experts" don't even know. Some of the "experts" are saying 10 days. I guess they're thinking about going virtual school here - they've never done that. Everybody keep your fingers crossed (another finger crossing LOL) that my episode last night was isolated and won't come back. It sure scared me though.

I'll try to stop back in. I'm going to go lay back down for a bit.

@Cherylndesigns so sorry to hear that you were so sick. I sure hope that you are right and that this is just a bug. Make sure that you get plenty of rest today. BTW, I love your siggie! Gorgeous!!

@faerywings yes he is a good kid. It makes me happy that our kids enjoy us. Family is everything to me and I think that is true of so many of us here. The weight loss is good but I'll take energy any day! And both of these are full time...I'd love to do part time but there isn't much demand for that in this field. :(

@tjscraps you are really having a rough go of it right now. Thinking about you and your husband. Hope things get better soon.

@mom2triplets04 well I hope that the vet got back to you. That is so annoying although I'm sure that they are very busy...it seems like everyone is. But it is bad when we are worrying about them and worry we do!

@bcgal00 good news that the back is better and even better news on the weight loss. Hopefully you can get things settled sooner rather than later with the new assessments for B and that allows you to make plans for the future.

@taxed4ever great job on getting Hunter's t-shirt done! You really persisted on that. You are such a good grandmother. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the train. That thing is fast so I'm very anxious to give it a try...I can't quite imagine going 186 mph on the ground!

@Kythe I am like you...I don't really like any exercise. But I'm trying to do better with that this year! Good job on getting the lights down.

Quick in and out this morning. Needed to get catch up on commenting on the Border challenge and a quick look around. Will pop in and out as my concentration allows. Things are stable with DD at the moment. Think my body's way of dealing with the stress is make me sleepy earlier than usual and sleep later than usual.... 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM! Glad to have that rather than being able to sleep! Will pop in occasionally over the next few days/weeks as I can. Sending get well thoughts to all who need it.

Good Morning everyone! Another very rainy morning here and now there are just a couple of patches of snow left on our hill. They are from the piles that the snow plow made, I am not sad to see the snow gone! I actually scrapped a page yesterday!! Will get it posted as soon as I am done here. Hoping that my scrapping mojo has found its way back to me and I will do a few more pages over this next week. I need to change my siggie too. Also have to make a card for my grand niece and get it out in the mail right away. I managed to get the parcels out in the mail yesterday, without too much damage to my bank account. Now it will be interesting to see just how long it takes to arrive! Oh and here's a little secret that Heather shared with me last night... They are getting a puppy for the boys!! A cute little Shocker, 3/4 shirpa and 1/4 cocker spaniel. He's a real cutie pie! I will have to post picture in the next few days. They are going to pick him up on Saturday, so grandma has to be careful not to spoil the surprise! I haven't heard from them yet this morning, so I will try to get personals done before they call.

@faerywings - Aww poor Caitlyn, how frustrating for her to have to deal with all of the changes! Hope she managed to get it all done and is happy with her choices of class time! Sounds like your days are about as exciting as mine have been lately  . I do have one good thing to do today and that is to go and get my hair cut and coloured. Always enjoy my pampering with my hairdresser, she such a sweet young lady! I hope that Cait has fun with her Cricut machine, the software is more user friendly than the Silhouette, but I choose it because it is more like photoshop than the Cricut software, so easier for me to learn. I hope you find something fun to do today!

@LSlycord - How fun that you purchased your very first Wacom tablet, you will never look back! I still need to learn a few more things about the shortcuts that I can do on my tablet. I keep procrastinating on doing that! Good luck with your interview today, hope you find the job that you want! Oh and hang onto your hat when on the bullet train, there are some that go over 300 mph these days!

@Cherylndesigns - Oh nooo!! I hope that you really only have a bug that is going around! Although they are saying now that you should just assume that it is ....(you know what!!). Sending you lots of healing thoughts, stay in bed and take good care of you!

@tjscraps - Sending you lots of healing thoughts too! Sorry that you and your hubby are going through this rough patch!

@BrightEyes - Sounds like you are at least getting a lot of sleep these past few days! Sending you and your family good thoughts too, seems everyone is getting sick! Sure hope you do not! (((hugs)))!

@mom2triplets04 - sorry that your fur baby is still throwing up! Hope the Vet gets back to you quickly! They are run off their feet I am sure, everyone seems to be way too busy!!

@Kythe - It sure is raining isn't it! Guess that is better than snow though! Yup more danger of flooding, its been such a bad year for crazy weather here on the West Coast! Did your hubby get drenched taking down the Christmas lights? Glad you figured out the burn and dodge tools! I should really take a look at that challenge too. I have used those tools on a few layouts, but I am sure there is much more to learn about them.

Ok off I go to the shower, hopefully the boys don't call me while I am in there LOL. Have a good Thursday everyone!

Good morning everyone. I never made it over to the dog park yesterday, it was raining really hard and was so nasty out there. So we'll head over at lunchtime today for a short walk as Jen has to get back home for a zoom mtg with the TBI/neuro team this afternoon and hopefully they'll tweak her meds again as she waits to get into the unit soon for more assessment. Good thing Jen isn't working b/c all this is a full time job, advocating for Bailey's care. Talked to one of the realtors that calls me every once in awhile. We discussed the house and got an estimate of what its worth which was just about what we thought. We're happy with that.

D finally has all his paperwork sent in for pension and hopefully next month we'll see some money coming in. Our medical is going to cost a fortune but we'll have the same plan we had thru his company so that's good. I want to wait to see what life is like, living with his pension, before I quit my job and lose even more money until the fall when my pension kicks in. With any luck, I can quit my job by the summer. I'm ready. Watching D enjoy his lazy routine and how relaxed he is now, I'm ready to join him. But for now, I work.

@faerywings I saw that kong toy and don't think that will work with my 2 dogs b/c Taz would end up being konked on the head with it by Remi as she swings it around (she is crazy fast and strong when playing). Enjoy perusing the gardening sites. For me, my relaxation is looking thru pinterest at food stuff or watching youtube vids about the dogs or food. I watch a ton of "what I eat in a day" vids for ideas.

@LSlycord Good luck on the next interview.

@Cherylndesigns Glad you are feeling better and whatever it was, it is passing now.

@BrightEyes Glad to hear your daughter is stable. No wonder you slept so much, your body and mind are stressed.

@taxed4ever What an adorable name for the breed! I can only imagine how excited the kids will be.

I'm getting a coffee and getting to work now. Have a good day everyone.

The vet finally got back to me around 5 pm yesterday. Myla has to. continue her meds but we need to feed her and then give her the meds. No throw up. She actually went to puppy camp today. She's now sleeping as I went crazy trying to get things done while she was at the camp.

Got my toes done. Then went to two banks, the pet store and did a quick food shop $100 and then had to come home and switch cars so I could pick her up.

Any of course, the thing we needed for dinner (bread crumbs) we forgot to get. So my daughter had to run back out to get it.

Ok I'm going to relax and maybe make a page now.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Hubby might get released tomorrow which is good. Cross your fingers for me! His mom has been here helping out with the girls and keeping him company when I'm at work, so not much computer time for me (visiting with her when I'm not at work or at the hospital).

Just thought I'd pop back in and say that I went back to bed and didn't get up until 11 am. I've felt pretty decent today, other than a "rocky" tummy. I have NO idea what hit me so hard last night, but possibly with my 2 shots + the booster, I warded it off. Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm feeling pretty good tonight. Thanks for all of the good wishes.

Hugs and love to all.
