It is Thursday, right? *looks at Planner*
Yeah, it is, but I was really unsure for a bit. I am so tired, I didn't sleep well at all last night. I think I used up my Good Sleep for the month last week when I had three good nights in a row. I just hurt all over.

On the good side, I feel a little less blerghy today than I did yesterday and a little less floopee too. There is that.

I can't remember exactly what I said to the ladies at the Lab but the one who was checking me in said something about it being a good way to look at things - oh yeah. I had said how my LLMD wouldn't refill my abx until I had blood done, even though I am seeing her in 2 weeks. She said nothing like making me run through hoops and I said back to her that at least it gave me an excuse to come and visit them a bit. She had a baby girl 13 months ago, and the last time I had seen her she was only 6 months. She was telling me about how she is walking and wrapped empty boxes for her for Christmas to rip up. So that was nice. Food shopping stunk, paying bills *really* stunk. But for dinner, I made a really good batch of vegetarian French Onion soup which was a nice end to the day.

If Cait can get her act together, we are going to go to DMV so she can get her "real" driver's license. In NJ, they have a provisional lic. for one year, with restrictions on it, then they get a regular one after a year of driving with no incidents. I also want to wake Scott up. Apparently, he has 4-5 "good things" to share. Gary tells me this when he woke up but has me hanging. I know that his boss was talking about him starting some training for wait staff work, but that would only be one thing. Would love to know what the others are. *taps foot very impatiently*

Have a wonderful day filled with good news too!

Nancy- Hope you had a great time with your girlfriend at lunch, I knwo you always seem to laugh a lot. I see that the rule changes are necessary to protect the players but that stinks that they aren't being administered fairly or eenly. Are they still allowed to play w/o helmets? I always thought that was crazy. Are they finding the same kinds of TBI in the NHL that they are in the NFL? Scary stuff.

Trudy- ye-owch on the nerve. I never understood that either, when they know your are already hurting. I go in Feb for a clenaing so hopefully I won't have to worry too much about that. heh. One can hope.;)
Hope that yesterday's appt was less painful.
I want to know what your reaction was to the end of The OA. I am hearing some rumors about Season 2 of Stranger Things. I am looking forward to that.
Hope that your weather warms up and melts the snow that the plow piled up.

Rae- that does sound like a relaxing night curled up with Taz. I am not sure how I feel about staying up until midnight though. LOL At least you slept until 8 that must have felt good.
Did you make the roasted chick peas? Cait and I saw a recipe for that in Cooking Light but haven't made them. If you have a good recipe, can you link me up?
 at Taz with the toilet paper tubes! That sounds like so much fun!

TTYS! xoxo

Hi All! Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. I'm sick with a sinus infection and now with ear infection. I also got the flu shot, which is taking me longer to recuperate. Im having a hard time figuring out who to respond to with what - my brain is that fuzzy.

I'm falling asleep here, so I'm going back to bed. But I don't want to miss out on the sales here either. :(

Hope everyone is doing good.

Morning ladies... I slept until almost 8:30!! Sorry Chris :sorry: but even though I had such a great sleep I am in kind of a bad mood!! Not sure why? I think I need to get back on my thyroid meds again. Dr. wants to take a look at my levels though first to see if I need to be on it or if I need to up the dose. I took myself off of them this summer when the kids were here and we were so busy, I kept forgetting to take them and actually my stomach felt better when I was off of them. But the ringing in my ears is worse than ever now and the Dr. thinks that might be the reason. So off to the clinic tomorrow morning I go for my blood work. Isn't it great to get older!!

Chris I have the perfect smiley for your impatient waiting!!

I hope that Scott wakes up soon so you can share the good news with us! I still haven't watched that last episode of the OA darn it!! We pvr'd code black and criminal minds, so watched those instead. Its funny but we have a routine of having supper at 6pm. then we watch the news for a bit, then we get the supper dishes all cleaned up and then I get his lunch ready for the next day. After that we both go on our computers for a little while, then we meet up in the living room and start to watch the programs we like together. He usually falls asleep around 9:30 and then I kick him off to bed by 10pm. LOL I can't stand trying to watch tv while he snores! Aren't we boring!!

Nancy and Rae - I hope that you are both enjoying a wonderful day! We are most likely cross posting, so I will catch up with you later!

Ok I am hungry and need to catch up in the gallery and forum here today! Hopefully make a page or two. Have a great one ladies!!

Good morning, ladies. It is cold but sunny and dry here. My fave kind of day (for winter time). I love all the light coming thru the windows. I am not looking forward to the rain that is supposed to be coming next week with warmer temps. My hubs came home from his work conference and happily showed me about 20 fine point pens he got from the room LOL. He's always complaining about running out of ink and not finding a pen when he wants one (he's always working on crosswords, for hours every day). So this makes him happy! Taz and I went to the dog park late yesterday afternoon, just before sundown, and he had fun with all the dogs but we all had more fun than the dogs I think b/c we all were laughing so hard watching them slip and slide all over the place. I watched one dog try to pick up a big stick and as he tried to grab it, it would slide across the ground and then his feet would slide all over as he tried to follow it and grab onto it. Another dog kept sliding down the little hill on his bum and then would come back up and do it again. I've never seen the park completely covered in ice like this before. 3 of us were the last to leave as the sun was setting and we walked together, very slowly, little steps, to make sure we all got out safely. Apparently, a little earlier in the day, one of the guys went down quite heavily, onto his hip, so he may have been hurt quite badly. Some of the guys brought him to the Emergency. Poor guy. I warned Darrell today to wear boots and step very carefully as he's outside b/c of his still healing sprained ankle. It is still bothering him if he steps the wrong way. I'm going to get some computer work done this morning and then get some paperwork done this afternoon.

Chris - I don't have a recipe for the chickpeas. I just put them in a big bowl, add a few tbsp of oil and then sprinkle in some salt & pepper, some kind of spice with a bit of heat to it, like a cajun spice of some kind. I like Trader Joe's chili and lime spice but also there's one by Emeril that I like too but I ran out so don't remember the name. I also sometimes use Tony Chachere's creole spice. I spread them out in single layer on a lipped baking pan and bake at 400 til slightly browned and then take them out. Once they cool they harden up a bit. I put them in a glass jar on the counter and just grab handfuls here and there to eat and find they get a bit crunchier as the week goes on and they dry out a bit. I love them. Sorry to hear you are still hurting quite a bit. I recommend that you do some yoga, stretch and calm your mind down. Maybe that'll help a bit. I had to do that quite a bit when I was in a lot of pain from my shoulder/back injury years ago. It helped a bit to kind of override the body pain and feel more peaceful. Does that make sense?

Trudy - hope your mood perks up and it sounds like a good idea to check the thyroid again. I was just watching Dr. Oz a few days ago and they were talking about foods to help a sluggish thyroid. I am going to try his morning thyroid drink. I have the show pvr'd so if I can't get the ingredients off the website I'll rewatch the episode to get the info. It was watercress and a few other ingredients.

Angi - hope you recover soon. Ear and sinus infections...ugh. Get well.

I'm going to go do some CT stuff. Have a great day, everyone.

Good afternoon! I have finally finished my Jury Duty! :) I love doing this honorable duty but boy does it make me nervous "getting it right" with verdicts. And may I say, there are some real weird "peers" out there. haha Sometimes, trying to get an unanimous verdict can be rough. People sometimes forget to leave their personal feelings at the door and walk in with common sense. Ok..off my soapbox now.

After being gone out of state for so long, then coming home and entertaining my dad over the holidays, right into Jury Duty has really thrown me into a tizzy. I am so looking forward to sitting down, in my own room, at my own pace, ALONE and getting to play with layouts. I've taken so many photos and haven't had time to play with them. No more...its ME time. haha

Rae - it sounds like the dog park was interesting and entertaining. Glad you got back safely without hard thuds.
Trudy - I hope you feel more upbeat as the day went on. A regulated thyroid sure can make a difference.
Angi - I hope you feel better. Its always a hard decision about taking the flu shot, for me. The two times I got it, I got the flu. They weren't severe cases but it wasn't pleasant. Otherwise, I haven't had the flu in over 20 years, without it. At my age my doctor always wants me to take it but I'm so bad about not listening. haha
Chris - do you have a recipe to share for the vegetarian french onion soup? I'm in a soup mode and french onion is one of my faves. I hope you're not still standing tapping your foot and you got the anticipated info from Scott. Wow 4-5 good things..that should be good news for sure. :)

I hope you all survive and thrive the day!
