(and might I pleeeeease ask for 2015 to be a teensy bit easier for me?? It is a pretty low bar, yannow ound
Happy new year to all of my Fellow O-zies!!! How many of you made it to Midnight? Did you stay home and relax or were you out partying? I hope that no matter what you did, you had a wonderful time! I was sending out hugs to all of you too. ::grouphug
I was in sweats by 2pm, made dinner (homemade soup and bread, yum!) by 5pm, various kids/friends grabbed some of that, Gary and I hooked up my IV at 6 and this time I was done by 7.30. He was able to adjust the drip to go faster than the night before and I was still lucky to have no itching/flushing. By 8.30 I was in bed, with heat pack on my arm and back.
My GAWD I had the edgiest NYE Ev-ar!!!!!
My arm is a MESS! Gary did my dressing change and being able to see all of the bruising, wow it is bad. Gary suggested that if I ever need a PICC again, and the nurse is new to it, to ask for someone else. Great idea!
And more silliness in the Campbell medical sagas, as if there isn't enough of that- I took Scott down to the dentist for hus x-rays and consult. He goes in, about 10 minutes later he comes back out and says "Bad news." (He should *really* know better than to say that to me!!!! Brat!!!) But it wasn't really bad news, it was more aggravating. They went to take x-rays, and someone has exposed the last of the x-ray film. So now we have to go back *again.* And the oral surgeon is only in that office 2 Thursdays a month so the chances of him getting this done before he goes back to school-- pretty much nil.
We visited with my MIL for a while before we headed home. She is a piece of work! LOL I told her that I had keys and that we would let ourselves in. By the time I got the door open she was already there. I asked her, why did you get up and are walking around??
Then I couldn't find something in the fridge, so she gets up to get it rather than tell me where to find it. If this all sounds familiar, I think I did a lot of this too after my surgery reaching for things with my right arm, even though my stitches/incision still hurt.
Everyone is still asleep here so it has been nice and quiet while I drink my coffee and chat with all of you. I am going to post my January Webspiration Challenge in a few and I hope you all come check it out.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day, doing whatever you are doing. We are not doing anything, although I think Scott is going to spend the day with Leah. I'd like to start taking the tree down, but that just might be too much work
QOTD If money or location were not an issue, would you ever spend NYE in Times Square?
I used to think that I would like to do it just once to say that I did (this was when I was way younger) but now, I don't think you could pay me enough to do it. Well, maybe a few million could entice me...
