We are really flying through this month, aren't we? It feels weird that it is February and almost to the end, no less. The days are definitely longer, at 7 am the sun is up! We are supposed to get into te 60's today. Yesterday was 50 and BFFATS and I went for a short walk in the afternoon. I was chilly but it felt good to get outside.

Today will be rough with it feeling more like spring that winter. When I was scooping poop yesterday, (I just *love* it when the snow melts and voila! There is so much underneath!), I had that URGE to get my hands in the dirt. I live for the time when the plants start turning green. And as much as I want to see that now, it is too early. The plants are going to be all messed up if that happens. The US Gov't might be in denial about Climate Change :)mad: ), but the plants sure are not.

I am off to clean today, then if we are up to it, Caitlyn and I might go for a hike/walk somewhere. She is babysitting today for the woman that I clean for- she has a good gig going there. She also asked me to teach a class for the Girl Scouts on how to make a foot scrub and lip scrub. Isn't that cool?!

My income taxes are calling me too and I am still having a hard time catching up on CT work here. But there will always be tomorrow...

We have the oil co coming this morning to clean the furnace ( soooo overdue!) so I better finish up so I can get dressed before they turn the heat and hot water off.

xoxoxo!

Chris, that sounds like fun! (The making scrubs part - not the poop scooping portion! ;) )

Oh lawd, I finally finished all my tax prep this week for our tax appt tomorrow! NOT looking forward to that one.

It's going to be nutty for me today, it's one of those "let me run around and see how many of these errands I can get done before my kids get home" kinda days. I generally try to plan to get ONE of those in a week and knock as much out as I can in the same day. This one's extra loaded though b/c I'm working on stuff for my minime's 10th bday next week.

Have a great day all!

Nancy- that is a bummer that Shepards are prone to ear infections. At least you know what to look for so he gets abx quickly. Sorry to hear that the Devils lost but I know you will have a great time today. Enjoy this weather, like I said up there ^^, I love it even as it worries me.
I am getting better at planning out meals towards who will eat what. Scott didn't like what I had planned last night (spinach pie), but I knew that if he got hungry at work, he could get a slice of pizza. Cait is babysitting tonight so I am making chicken. He is working tomorrow early, so it will just be the 3 of us so I am making whole wheat gnocchi. Yeah, all that made my head hurt!

Trudy- how was your hike? Hope you got a lot of pictures. Good for you for figuring out how to get them off of your phone. That is the story of my life- distractions and getting side tracked and then all of a sudden, it is time to make dinner.

Rae- poor Beckham, he sure likes his food and treats. How did the x-rays go? He is an old boy, right? Arthritis?
Great news about Noel and Taz! And Double, no make that Triple times a Million Good news about the weight loss. It is happening so fast. You sound so much more energetic too!

Yikes, I am really late...
::grouphug to all of you!

Morning ladies... I slept like the dead last night, all that wonderful fresh air and exercise just did me in and I was fast asleep before 10pm. Woke up at 7 and made breakfast for DH and myself. He is on a course today so did not have to get out the door until 8am this morning. A nice change for him to sleep in a bit. The sun is shining again this morning, but they are forecasting more snow for us on the weekend :mmph: hopefully it doesn't amount to anything! Yesterdays hike was so beautiful and really the best scenery that we have had on any hike I think. It was a quite a climb to get to the top of Mesachie Mountain but it was so worth it! I will be doing a page today of my hike for sure!

Chris - Ewwww on the poop scooping!! LOL The joys of having a pet!! I do not miss the litter box cleaning that I did for years! How nice that you were asked to make the scrubs truly a testament to your talent my friend! DH wants me to tackle the income tax this year, he says I should know how to do it in case something ever happens to him. It can't be that hard can it?

Amanda - How I wish I had those days back when I needed to get things done before the kids came home from school ! Those days are long behind me and now I miss them so much! The best years of your life are when your children are young and you are one big happy family, enjoy every precious moment!

Sharon - How fun to have Mardi Gras officially starting! Have a great time and enjoy your time riding in the parade!

Rae - What a wonderful feeling to have to get a smaller change of clothes!! I am going to get those books you talked about today and get going with this Keto thing too, at least I will give it a try and see how it works for me. You sound like you have tons more energy and that is really what I am looking for too! Glad to hear that the cat is settling in a bit better now, it will work out I am sure! Hope Beckham made out ok at the Vet's. Funny how he tried to sneak the treats LOL. What characters these dogs are! We had fun with our son's dog while the kids were here, Storm is such a sweetie and never is any trouble at all, such a good temper and never barks, DH loves to get her out for walks, so I think if he ever retires for good he might need to get himself a Dog just to keep him busy LOL.

Hope you all have a great day, I am off to scrap a page or two today.

Good morning, ladies. My mornings are a bit busier now. Having my daughter in the house means more chatting and hanging out together. I'm not rushing to the computer first thing in the morning. My workday seems to be starting a bit later too. It's good. I am enjoying this extra time together b/c at some point she will be moving out again. She's been checking for jobs and looking into housing. She just got her car back yesterday (husband signed it over) so won't need our truck now unless she's moving stuff. Darrell is pretty happy. He's getting a new lazy boy chair built for him from the Brick. He's been looking for a swivel layboy recliner and for some reason no one sells those anymore but we discovered that the Brick will custom make a chair for you so he bought on during the sale. It won't be coming for a few more weeks but he's excited knowing that it will come.

I am doing well on keto. Still dropping a lb a day (12 or 13 so far, I forget LOL). Made a sauce for pork chops last night that was so yummy. Put butter in the pork chop pan to deglase, added fresh mushrooms, then garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, cream and a splash of soy sauce. It was amazing. Both Jen and I loved it (hubs doesn't care for mushrooms, so his loss). Tonight I'm going to show Jen how to shred up veggies in the kitchenaid and then make a homemade dressing for it. She wants to learn to make a poppyseed dressing but tonight will be with celery seed.

Today I have lots of work (of course LOL) but am going to take some time this afternoon to get out for a walk with Taz. I think the skies are going to be clear today.

Chris - enjoy your hike if you get out with your daughter. Yes, I need to get back to working on our taxes too. We need to find a new accountant (ours retired).

Amanda - hope its a productive day and have fun planning the b-day.

Sharon - how fun. Enjoy the parades and have fun riding. Take lots of pics!

Trudy - can't wait to see your photos. I know I've said it before but I'm so jealous of the amazing hikes you seem to go on. I can't wait to get back to Bellingham in the spring and visit their big park with a waterfall. I never knew it was there before.

I'm getting to work now, ladies. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
