Hey- now it is actually Thursday! My Wed felt "off" the entire day and I think that I spread that to Gary too. He kept asking what day it was.

It was a pretty boring day here again. I cleaned and it was just started to snow when I got home. Scott got home soon after me. We didn't get a lot of snow by dinner time- last time I was out with the dogs- but I heard that the roads up here were bad.We got the estimate on Caitlyn's car-- $1400. :faint: *%$@#* I HATE that we are unable to help the kids. I feel like I am failing them. Gary and my parents' all still help us, yet we cannot help ourselves or the kids. It royally sucks. /end rant
Gary made a delicious dinner and we watched Fantastic Beasts together. I can't wait for the next movie to come out on DVD. Does anyone have any idea when that might be?

Today I have to run down to the hospital and then do nothing but waste more time. I am making asparagus with lemons and feta over pasta tonight. Cait is babysitting so I don't have to worry about her for dinner. Feta is made with animal rennet so she can't eat that kind of cheese.

I hope that it warms up enough for the snow to melt quickly. Poor dogs were sliding all over the skating rink of my lawn. W almost took me down yesterday afternoon. She loves to run in the snow but doesn't realize that there is a small person attached to the other end of her leash :dogwalk:

Feel great and stay cozy, my friends!

Kay- That is good that the snow melts in between the storms but it is *bad* that it keeps snowing. It never seems to end!
I am glad that you were able to get your errands done in between.
That is terrible that your art teacher told you that! I am really glad that you took it up again because you have talent!

Pups are awake-- BRB!

Yuck-- we must be right around freezing because everything is coated in ice. The ice has to stop. I am going to wipe out soon and then my bones are gonna crumble.

Felis- good luck to your mom with the job interview. Tire chains are illegal here b/c they cause so much damage to the roads. Some people will get snow tires on their cars instead but they are expensive. I just try to stay home when it snows.
Thanks for the good thoughts for my ankle

Trudy- booooo on closing your browser. But at least you got to see Heather. I knew that you would chuckle at my "hire someone" comment. That wouldn't happen in my house either with my Gary. No one else would do it the right way.

Rae- I am so impressed by Jen and her hiking on snowshoes. That looks incredibly challenging. I totally understand the memory/spacing out. My brain feels like it short-circuits on me. Too much stress and it overloads. It is weird, it is a different type of memory loss than the Lyme brain fog so I am not worried that my Lyme is active again (Whew!!!) It is still really frustrating. I hope that you are able to recharge yourself and that it will get better for you. I truly believe that once the weather is better, it will get easier. (it has too *g* )

Sending good thoughts to all of you! xoxo

Can't believe that I slept in until 7:30 this morning!! Usually awake between 5-6. Had a great time with DD#3, her family, and her BFF and hubby last night.. We went to a Mexican restaurant for supper. Didn't get there until 7PM and ended up closing the place at 9PM! Lots of talk and laughter - which did my heart and spirits good. So by the time I got some reading in, it was 11 PM before I turned out the light.... a very late night for me.

Today is a 'catch-up' day for me. Have some cleaning I need to get done. May find time to work on the caps for DD#2. Really need to get them done. My computer desk needs to be cleaned up... have notes and papers piled up. Just discovered that I don't have refills for the printer inks so need to get them soon. Have several pages I need to print out for DH's Memorial book but they will have to wait.

Holding my breath on when the snow arrives tomorrow. Have a lunch to go to - clear across town in the foothills of Sandia Mt. They usually get the first of the snow. Hoping we can get lunch done before it starts. Will be car-pooling but have a feeling that I will be driving as I have the van that will carry 6-7.

Chris... you had me LOL over the vision of you with the dog pulling you along over the snow and ice! Be careful out there... none of us needs to take a fall! YIKES... that is a lot for a repair! Hope you can work something out to get it taken care of.

Rae... yes, stress can cause the brain fog where you forget what you are doing. Hope you can slow down a bit and it will get better. <<< hugs >>>

Felis, glad to hear your mom got hired. Sending good thoughts for you to find a job, too.

Trudy... your DH sounds like mine used to be... "it is HIS JOB and he will do it"!!! Don't envy you having to watch him on the tall ladder.

Off to grab another cup of coffee then get started on some of 'Should/Must Do'... Have a good day, gals.

Morning ladies... this morning I will try not to lose my post!! Yesterday was a productive one. I got some housework accomplished did 2 paintings, one I am happy with the other Meh!! Got some bone broth started. Put the second coat of stain on the last bannister and even started scraping a page. Half way done and then DH arrived home. He had a very busy day and needed to vent about it, so we sat and had a glass of wine together and I heard all about his crazy day. It must have been the full moon!! Anyway so much for finishing my page, so I will do that today. I can't go any further on the bannister, so it will be a good day to scrap. Oh and this morning I have to meet with a customer and deliver him, his Norwex order. I will hit the pool tomorrow and get in some laps, it will be too late to go after I meet with this guy today and Friday's seem to be pretty quiet at the pool. Oh BTW our son txt me yesterday to say that they just purchased a house in Ottawa! Its a very nice home and in a great neighbourhood, close to school for the kids, but I am not sure how far from where they both will be working. It backs onto a Forest area and so it has a very private backyard. I am so happy for them as they were quiet worried about not being able to find a home before they get transferred out of Toronto. So Yay for them!!

Chris - Yes yesterday did seem like it should have been Thursday and today feels like it should be Friday :loco: Not sure why, perhaps because I had my Gary home for that extra day? Ugh on the cost of fixing Cait's Car!! I hear ya on feeling so helpless about not being able to help the kids out more. I always feel so badly for Heather when she can't afford things that she needs. We try to help out when we can, but we can't pay for many things and it is sad!! But I know that your kids are so great and they know how very much you love them!! They surely understand your situation! Your dinner sounds so yummy!! It looks like the release date for Fantastic Beast to come out on DVD is March 12th. I am looking forward to watching it too! Sure hope your skating rink of a backyard melts soon!! I hate to think of you wiping out on it!

Kay - What a wonderful sleep you had!! How fun that you had such a great time with your family at the Mexican Restaurant! Wish we had a good one in our area! Good luck with you catch up day today! I seem to always have something that needs to be finished. I am such a procrastinator :mmph: still have pages to do from our trip to Paris almost a year ago now. Sure hope the snow holds off for your luncheon tomorrow!

Rae - Sorry you are having memory loss, darn stress can do such terrible things to the body! How great that your daughter is getting out with her friends, she needs to have that kind of companionshiop to help her deal with all the stress in her life too! How fun to snowshoe on a hike, I have never tried snowshoeing, it looks like it might be quite difficult.
Hope you find some quiet time today and that your work does not take up your whole day! It looks to be a gorgeous sunny day today so I hope that you and Taz get out for a nice long walk today!

Ok the boys are facetiming me, looks like Mason is home from school today. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. My back is still bugging me off and on but thankfully not bad enough to stop me from doing anything, just irritating more than anything and I can't bend over very far, its so stiff. I think that soon I am going to try a complete elimination diet and try to figure out exactly what foods are bothering me. I am suspicious of eggs but they don't always bother me and I wonder about some of the nuts I eat. B/c most of the time I feel really good, when I don't, I notice it a lot more now, if that makes sense. I think I used to feel crappy so much that I tried to ignore it and it was normal for me to have aches, pains, headaches, etc. I think I am just about ready to do a full AIP (autoimmune protocol) elimination for 30 days. I was worried about giving up coffee which was hold me back b/c I love my coffee but I am ready to go without for 30 days and really give this process a chance. I think the 4 hardest things will be tomatoes, eggs, coffee and nuts. But if it helps me figure out exactly what food is doing to me, then it'll be worth it. I think I'll start this in the next couple of weeks. Just want to get a menu in place and make sure I have my pantry stocked with the foods I need.

Chris - that is it exactly...like a short circuit. It comes and goes and in an instant something I should know and have always known is gone and then in a blink of an eye it is back. I had talked to my doctor about it and he assures me that it isn't dementia/Alzheimer type of memory problem. Be careful out in your cold icy weather. I too almost wiped out yesterday as Taz pulled me along, anxious to get over to the river, and I hit a patch of ice. Luckily I caught my footing. I'll be glad when all the ice is gone.

Kay - sounds like a wonderful evening with food, laughter and family at the restaurant. What are you reading now? I'm reading The Witch Elm and am enjoying it but don't have any idea of where the story is going. It's one of the most popular reserved books at the digi library right now so I'm trying to read as much as I can b/c in just over a week it will go on to the next person and if I have to reserve it again I'll be waiting a month or two. So, every day I am trying to squeeze in some extra time. I know this wkend I'll spend at few hrs each morning with it.

I'm getting to work now. The sun is shining so my mid day walk with Taz should be nice today. The rain/snow isn't coming until tomorrow or over the wkend I think so I want to enjoy today while the sun is shining. Have a good day, everyone.

Trudy - we were cross posting this morning. Enjoy the FT with the boys. It must be a relief to hear your son found a new home for them. House hunting is stressful and exhausting.

Ok, off I go....time to work.

There's sun and warmish weather today! I feel better (though felt worse yesterday). Sad that in a bit DH will go to do a Hum & Strum sing-along at a local library and I don't think I can go. Maybe their best time ever was at this library not long ago.

Chris, what a bummer about Cait's car! I think many (most?) parents wouldn't be able to help that much with two kids in college. At least you're making something really yummy for dinner.

Kay, love times like you had at the Mexican restaurant! Sounds wonderful. Wishing you good luck with the weather for the lunch.

Trudy, the house in Ottawa sounds just right. Bet they're very happy. And you too. Yesterday must have been nice, even listening to G's talk about the day. Hope you get the scrap done.

Rae, glad the back isn't keeping you from things, but if you need to do the diet thing, you'll have some real ideas about the foods. Bet Taz and you have a good time outside today.

Bright sunny day with a clear sky but chilly. Joey and I went for a good 30 minute walk. He is currently plopped under the computer desk fast asleep. That should last about 2 1/2 hours so I can catch up on things before he has to go out again.

My CT obligations are done so I am going to do a little experimenting with sketches. We will see what comes of it.

good afternoon ladies -

kythe, my ct obligations never seem to be done but then again i do much more than is required.

kay - sounds like uhad great time at restaurant

got back a little while ago from walk. sunshine led me directly to the apt complex dog park today- first time. that place is always empty. had no toy on me but got her to run a bit. yesterday went to real dog park an d first time actually seen her play with another dog. usually she just likes to chase them even though she cannot usually keep up

here are some pics of her

first shot of her - left the shelter and hubby put something in trunk and she jumped into it and would not come out easily . this led us to believe in prior home she may have rode in the back of an suv
