Can I whine and cry and moan and complain for a moment? I am tired of being in pain! My knees are in such bad shape.
Ok, that is out and now done.
Let me move on to my adoration of the coffee. :tea:

Big day for Scott today. My stomach is in small knots right now, but I'll guess that they will bet bigger as the day goes on. I know, its not that big of a deal, at least not today's mtg, but what's a neurotic mom to do? LOL

Yesterday was funny at my cleaning clients house. Her son is 4 yo and apparently has a crush on me! how cute is that? Last time I was there, I brought him a dinosaur soap I had made and was left over. He won't let anyone touch it. It has to sit on the sink, but never gets used. And he fights his mom b/c he wants to help me clean. She tries to keep him out of my way, but he's no bother. I tell him to sweep the floors that I haven't cleaned yet. Keeps him happy, mom doesn't have stress and its no skin off my nose either way. he's a cutie tho.

So what is up with you all today? Terry, can you send some sun and heat here? Sooooo tired of cold and winter!!

I would really like to go on a vacation somewhere warm, but since that won't happen can I curl up under an electric blanket with some industrial strength light bulbs?????

Nana- wow. That must have been a shock! And really, what do you say??? Or think??? This isn't the kids' father ,right? Or is it? Is he nice, and *stable* for her??? So many questions .......
My hope si that it helps her view herself in a stronger and more positive light and all that follows that will be for the best for her and the kids, esp. the kids. (One more reason that I am so glad that you have them ATM, that you can always provide them rock-solid home life.)

Terry-- really??????? WTH??????? They just couldn't get around calling your mom about a fracture?? for 2+ weeks? I would be furious! I bet you are!!!

When Gary's sugar goes that high, he gives himself extra insulin. His pump delivers a steady drip of insulin constantly through the needle (its a cannula really-- soft tube that goes under his skin). But if the cannula is bent or gets clogged, the insulin can't get into his bloodstream. So he has to pull it out and insert a new set. Its all done right at home, he changes them every three days or when it goes wonky. Best thing ever for an insulin-dependent diabetic. (IMHO). My MIL also is insulin dependent and she still uses needles and its much more limiting,but she likes it and it works for her Thank goodness for choice.

Morning O fam- only one cuppa this am as I am descaling the machine- I am home this am and off to get groceries and my haircut. Tomorrow am- sounds like I may have to put skates on my car - possible ice- my least favorite- who can control a car on ice- looks like it may miss us, but at work yesterday it was all you heard people talking about the terrible ice storm coming. Okay better get my housework done so I can play!

Good morning ladies! We are supposed to begin getting snow at about 10 a.m. this morning. Then it should get really bad for the commute home. :-( The kids are both off of school today and tomorrow because of conferences so I expect to get a call from day care closing early...don't think that I will be around for the afternoon commute. I went to sleep at 7:30 last night...I guess the traveling caught up with me.

Terri...what kind of explanation did the idiots give for not feeling that they should call your mom with that news?

Laurie, enjoy your day off. Hope the ice storm misses you!

Chris, i do hear that insulin pumps are a great thing for a lot of diabetics. it must give people some sense of freedom from the disease. the one thing i HATE about diabetes is that your head ALWAYS has to be up your butt. a pump must reduce that feeling a little. how's he doing this morning? i loved the story about the little guy who has a crush on you. kids that age are so adorable.

Linda, good luck on the blizzard. looks like Kansas is going to get the worst of it, so far? any chance it's going to be better than expected in Iowa?

Laurie, the ice is coming here tomorrow morning. looks like another day in the bleeping HOUSE for me!! let me just repeat how BADLY February stinks. :smow:

has anyone been watching the Keifer Sutherland show? (TOUCH) kinda cute and cuddly and sometimes interesting. Jack Bauer as teddy bear. a bit sappy, but the little kid is adorable, the premise of the show is nice.

I MADE A PAGE!! how astounding. :faint2: dunno how the quality is, but i really have to keep trying or i'll totally forget how to use PSE. it's NOT like riding a bicycle. the rest of the day, who knows. i think i need to get to Target or WalMart to stock up on some basics. however, on a day when there was supposed to be NO snow, it is snowing right now. :rant:

good morning had a wonderful evening dinner out with my girlfriends. So fun to catch up with them. We meet about twice a month. We met through our kids and now our kids are grown and having lives of their own. Amazing. Had a great talk with my sister - she said it snowed in Phoenix. No one knew how to drive so it was very slow going and everyone was taking photos. Every place is have weird weather. We are still windy and cold. And yes Chris you would have been blown down to me.

Just a mini rant - I really hate finding out that I have uploaded 5 LOs in 24 hrs after I had done everything including links to products and then be told it will not upload. Especially annoying when it is the 2nd page of a two pager. Wish that the site would just do 24 hrs from mid night to mid night not some random 24 hrs.

Phylis I love Touch and loved Jack Bauer. Hope you weather is not too bad!

Terry that story about your mother is crazy! Hope the new tests can get her on a road to recovery!

Chris that little boy sounds so cute. Glad that you letting him help.

just stopping in to say hello. Need to pick up my mom in a few minutes to take her to get the CT and MRI. I did talk to the doctor last night to complain. He is a friend of my husband. Typical. He said the hospital screwed up and didn't send the doctors office the radiology result. Go figure. I love finger pointing. Actually, I think he was just lying because when I was in the exam room with my mom and I said to the PA "you have had the results since 2/6, why did you not call?" and she said "our notes show that the patient was to follow up in 2-3 weeks." If she did not get the report until that day, she would have said that. Enough complaining.

I scrapped a couple of pages yesterday! Woo Hoo!!

Reading about all the cold weather and snow---my doors and windows are open. Going to be a glorious day here!

It's just been a busy busy day....had to help Traci get paperwork together and get her stuff straight with disability from getting married. Then I had stuff to get straight for the kids and school and medicine...blah blah blah.....Hit the kids consignment shop and did a little shopping for "bug" and she is going to look adorable in that stuff


ICE STORM COMING TONIGHT!!! so another Friday with the kids at home...LOL!!!


We have been planning vacation....back to Tennesee again this year....It's a great place for the whole family and it's not that far....We are staying at this hotel that has a waterpark inside of it and it's included in the room rate....so no extra cost...the kids will love that!!!! This will be Jesse and Jaiden's first ever vacation....they will be thrilled!! Still working out the plans for while we are there. Will be MUCH better than the stormcation we had last year....since we spent our trip money for a hotel two miles from our house!!!!


Alrighty ladies...I am off and clean my kitchen watch a little tv and go to bed!!
