It is a February 16 that feels more like an April 16. Not because my taxes are done (they are not) but because it is over 50* at 7 am. I took the dogs out this morning at 6.30 and the sun was coming up and I was only wearing a long sleeve t-shirt and PJ pants. It's been wild.
I wish I had some yard work to do because god knows I can't just *sit* outside and enjoy the weather. I have to be doing something. LOL

Yesterday was another "what did I do all day?" kind of day. I'm mentally running down my list of the errands and cooking I did, plus puzzling, crocheting, and cleaning out two pantry shelves and one kitchen cabinet. I guess I did more than I thought. *wink* Still nothing about looking for glasses. I use Zenni and I logged on, looked around, and logged off. I need Caitlyn to help me.
I also did a little more digging into some dates of photos. I googled myself at one point. There aren't many Christine Iantoscas around. Really. How surprising. ;) There was a Christina Iantosca and her Twitter name is @ Teeny_Tosca. That made me LMBO. That could have been me since I am only 4'11" haha

I was supposed to be cleaning today but my friend texted to say her DD was home with a stomach bug. No way am I going anywhere near there. I think I am going to work on my taxes today, at least to see what paperwork I need. I have some LOs to finish and post.
That is about it!

wishing everyone a very happy day!

I started a thread on acronyms that might be helpful. Please add to it as you think of them :)

@LSlycord Whew!!!! I literally gave a sign of relief as I read that right now about the insulin. If I lived near you, I would have loved to meet you for a walk on the beach. Or to sit on a bench, watch the waves, and chat with you- either way would work for me.
I'm sorry that you are still waiting and waiting for news about the job. Sending good thoughts to you :sparkles1:
I have been glad that I restarted yoga, at least for that 20-30 minutes, I am not stressed -- it's a start

@BrightEyes It must have felt amazing to get all of your tax papers in the mail. Now I feel that I should do mine today. I got the paperwork for the NJ Property Tax Freeze and when I went to log in, it wasn't accepting Gary's SS info. Might be that I haven't done our taxes yet for 2022.
March is going to be hopping at your house! You are going to be so happy to have the family around.

@bcgal00 Your movie date night sounds like it was low-key and a lot of fun-- yummy too. Good thoughts to D for the colonoscopy. Is it a routine one or something for Crohn's? No matter, either way, I hope it goes well.
Mayor of Kingstown sounds like it would be something that would make me mad. Like in The Handmaid's Tale, I would yell at the TV and annoy Gary. :oops2:

@taxed4ever yay for sleeping in! Hope the hike was wonderful!

@Nonni F LOL about your idea of organizing. Even using ACDSee I still end up wandering aimlessly through my digital files, hoping that something pops out at me.
Scott and I thought the photo print was perfect, but Caitlyn thought she looked silly. Well, yeah! That was the point!:giggle4:
Look at you getting stuff done on a day off! High fives!
Thea Evangeline is a beauty! Is she named for something/someone? Caitlyn had two "batches" of rats that were named after Shakespearean characters. She had Evangeline and Imogen as well as Cordelia, Olivia, and Tatania. Not that any of us called them by their real names other than Imogen. They were Evie, Dilly, Livy, and Tat Rat (among other weirder ones LOL)

@Cherylndesigns That photo block is beautiful! He is going to smile every time he sees it. It looks perfect on the stone and the quote is sweet!♥

Arline Uh-huh, the weather gods are not happy with us! I love the warm temps as much as I hate that is b/c we are killing the earth. I absolutely HATE the cold and snow. Hate it hate it hate it. But it makes me uneasy that we only got a few inches of snow all season so far.

@Su_Sanne I am the same as you, love all animals other than ticks. I was trying to get gas yesterday and the car next to me had two dogs in it. I was so busy looking at the dogs, I didn't realize that the guy standing next to my car was their owner and was telling me that the station was closed bwahaha!
HAWE- Have a wonderful evening?

@vickyday I am so happy that Ruth reached out to you.
GMTA about HAWE! :rotfl:
If you ever need a backup pair of glasses, take a peek at Zenni Optical, I have been able to get a pair of progressive lenses and frames for $80. Caitlyn got 2 pairs of what's the word-- single vision? - lenses and frames for under $100.
I have never had a problem returning anything from Amazon, hope you got it figured out!

Look at me-- yesterday I was posting here under the wire and today I blew way past it. It's 8.41 and I have to get going. xo

@faerywings Good Morning. "T" as we often call her is named after her great grandmother, Evangeline, who I took in once she retired from breeding from a friend. When we lost her she gifted me Thea. (A gift from God) My oldest cat, Theodore is VERY social and was at a loss without Evie. Thea E brought life back into her when she arrived. (yup.. crazy cat lady verified)

It's 55 here this morning. Crazy! but, I do see next week... two days of snow. Which, as much as I hate it... we need. Winter shall return.

Morning, everyone. Only ended up with a light dusting of snow yesterday afternoon... and the roads seem to be clear this morning. It is 17°F outside right now...:brrr:.... with a high suppose to be round 33°F. Then tonight is suppose to be about 12°!!! :brrr::brrr::brrr: I decided to play it safe and opened all the cabinet doors where the sinks are since most of them are against the outside walls. No snow in the forecast... just bitter cold temps.

I had a PJ day yesterday...stayed in my warm flannel ones with my heavy terry robe. Did my wall walking and am now able to lift the arm 95% of the way without the wall support! Started the side to side movements and they are okay. Will see how the front to back is doing today. Glad I remember the exercises from PT after my rotator cuff surgery.

Yes, I am looking forward to getting back into scrapping. Hoping that I can start back.... slowly... maybe next week??? There are so many beautiful kits in the shop... my creative juices are running high - but know I will have to take it slow.

@BrightEyes Creative juices running high!!! Yay, you!!! Don't overdo it but jot those ideas down! I hate when I have a fabulous idea and then an hour later I remember I HAD one... but, can't remember what it was.

A pajama day sounds fabulous. Especially when it's that cold. We had a couple days like that two weeks ago where it dipped to minus 17. I never even opened the front door to get the mail. NOPE. Not letting that evil in. Especially with gas prices these days.

We got our Federal refund posted to the bank this week! GET THOSE TAXES DONE!! I used Turbo Tax. Of course, we have no itemizing to do either. That makes it free!
Only 4'11", eh? WOW! You are a Teeny Tosca! I'm 5'9" so we would look like Mutt and Jeff together, LOL!
Good for you on cleaning out 2 pantry shelves! THAT I haven't ventured into yet! Not the upper cabinets or lower cabinets under the sink either! I'm avoiding those!

@Su_Sanne years ago, when I got out of the military I worked at a vet clinic for a short time. My husband would think I was rude when I ran into people who brought their pets to the clinic and I didn't introduce him, but I could only think to myself, "They have a poodle named Disco" or "That Rooster's humans". I'm like you.

Good Morning ladies... another late post from me today! It is our Daughter Heather's Birthday today, so I have been on a long face time call with her this morning. I can't believe that she is 41 years old today!! How did that happen?? Anyway I am off to the pool in a bit and need to get my stuff collected and pack my swim bag. Wish me luck that the flushing out of my ears will be the end of my ear problems. My new waterproof headset is all ready to go with quite a few good tunes on it. If I head out pretty soon than I can hopefully spend the afternoon getting some scrapping done. So sorry that have not done any personals, but I know that you are all ok with that! I wish you all a fun and beautiful day! :waving1

May I ask what music you like to listen to?

I'm in here late today. I had a mammogram to start my day so I didn't think that I would get around in time to make the appointment if I stopped here first. It does seem that I only talk about my medications/procedures right now. Between the insulin and the mammogram, I'm going to try to up my game in here just a bit! ;)

Andie (our sweet Newfypoo) is 5 years old today. That seems almost as impossible as the fact that Shaun is 20 and Sydney will be 19 in less than 2 weeks. It's all crazy. But Andie got a sugar cookie for breakfast and that had her very, very happy! (She split the sugar cookie with Hayden in the spirit of fairness.)

It's sunny and was already 60 here this morning when I got up. Going to the mid 80's, while back home they canceled school for a snow day. How odd is that.

I'm working on My Story. I've been deep in the memories and writing the story. I need to get it onto scrapbook pages now. Might be a really good time to use some templates.

I'll be back with personals soon.

Linda, I'd love to show you something like I scrapbooked a journal of sorts. (Sounds funny again this phrase.) Do you already have an idea, there are so many possibilities. I have worked up with my friend Rolf our youth. And I did that in the form of a diary. Looks good. If you like I show that once.

@faerywings wouldn't we have a great time taking a walk along the beach...or just sitting there. I think we might need a couple of days because I'm afraid that we would just be talking like crazy....catching up for the 15 years that we have "known" each other but never met. I never picture you as 4'11". I need to re-frame you in my mind. I'll work on that. I hope that we don't go another 15 years without walking on a beach together.

@BrightEyes you sound much, much better. Crazy that the exercises are that helpful and I agree...so good that you remembered them.

@Nonni F I laughed at your husband thinking you were rude for not introducing him. For the record, if someone said "Hello there Andie's mom" or "Hi Hayden's mom" I would think that they definitely had their priorities right.

I hope you will be fit again soon. During the pandemic, we were forced to work from home. But the desk and chair at home are not the same as at work and so after a short time I had an arm that I could hardly move because of the bad posture. It took weeks before I could move normally again. And I need physical therapy. Be patient. Even if it's hard. I would miss working on the computer terribly, too. Maybe it would be a good idea to read a book or listen to a good audio book again now? I love audio books!!!

@bcgal00 sorry that D has to endure another colonoscopy although, he has already made it through the prep which is the worst part in my opinion. This time I got to do the mail in kit since the doctor didn't think they would want to put me under anesthesia while I have the heart issues.

@vickyday that is quite a list of things for today! And I love your supper plan. Brian has never been one to want to eat "breakfast" items for dinner. I could do it for every single meal.

@taxed4ever happy, happy birthday to Heather. And I am so anxious to hear how the swimming worked. My fingers are crossed that the ears are fine!

@Su_Sanne I'd love to see your journal! One of the designers here at Oscraps (Karen Schulz) made a kit that she will add to later and shared some journal prompts. Of course, the biggest part was getting my photos sorted. That was my accomplishment in January. I love to see any kind of journaling scrapbooks.

Thanks, Susanne. No, I do not suffer from migraines, thank the Lord! But any other type of headache is game, LOL! Mostly sinus headaches, however.
Re (regarding) temperature station.....do you mean like a weather station? We have a digital temperature gauge hooked to the outside of the house and one in the house that "talks" to the one outside to let us know what the temperature is outside. Our temperature is read in Fahrenheit rather than Celsius. But I suppose you already knew that, LOL!

I feel the same way! Especially when I translate your texts ... no distraction, so that I internalize everything! Hopefully!!! :giggle4:

Well, I probably should have explained it was my EX husband... so that sums up a lot right there, and I do remember once introducing him to folks as such and suchs parents... and they were overjoyed. You are correct for sure. Priorities. I use to think I was a people person, but people have ruined that for me. On the other hand... my mother will tell you my first word was DOG.

Fingers crossed that the ear problems come to an end!
May I ask what music you like to listen to?
I listen to a wide variety of music, anything from Beyonce to Aretha Franklin, love the old rock and roll and even some Micheal
Bublé we are huge fans of The Eagles also so I can't say that I really have an actual genre as I like me some Country Music too LOL.

Quick in and out - I've been gone most of the day. Adrienne asked me to go into town with her today. She had an appointment to get her nails done and wanted me to go along. While I was sitting there, chatting next to her, I decided to get a manicure. It felt so good - I must get them done more often. The hand massage was heavenly.

We had Bailey last night while Ava went to work out and she's not sleeping so I made her some of my "magic tea" and she slept like a baby last night. She's coming over soon to get some more.

Addrienne's stomach was upset last night so I made her some special tea for her stomach. She felt great today. I'm thinking of going into business - not really - just kidding. I don't need that stress.

Adrienne and I went shopping for Steph, the other day - she's a size zero - I know - impossible, right????? We found her the CUTEST things - she received her box today and was so excited. We found her things that she can wear to work. She called us on the way home from the nail salon and was beyond excited. I didn't tell her that I had mailed her box - I wanted it to be a surprise. She loved everything we sent her. It's so much fun to shop for her because she wears tiny sizes and they always seem to have those. I REALLY wanted one of the jackets we sent her - but they didn't have it in my size.

Anyway, that made our day.

Hugs to all.

XOXO

I love the Eagles, too! So so sad, that Glen Frey passed away so early. We have "Hell freezes over", some concerts and a lot of documentation on DVD that we often enjoy watching. I like Rock from the seventies. We are also fans of the Doobie Brothers and much, much more.
