Hi my O-Fam! Why dies it feel like it should be Friday even though it is only the second day of the school/work week? LOL Both Scott and I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. I think I overdid it yesterday- I steam cleaned both kids carpets (yuck), cleaned their bathroom, plus did accounting for MIL and research stuff for my other job. Long day, eh?

And it snowed again last night- it wasn't even supposed to stick, but we got a few more yucky inches. I want spring!

Oh, that reminded me, I have more "snow" pictures to download on my p365 blog, but if anyone wants to catch up it is updated until the 17th.

*whines* But Momma Sally I want to go to the zoo too! I love zoos, well, at least I love certain zoos- like the Bronx zoo where it is all natural habitat. I boycott all old fashioned caged zoos. I also boycott the circuses. LOL Tree hugger *and* animal rights activist tee hee! Hope you have a great day and get awesome pics. Don't get too close to any bulls.

Oh, and don't ask me why this reminded me, b/c there is *no* connection....
But did you hear about the chimp who attacked the owners friend? Apparently, the chimp was being treated for Lyme disease. They are trying to figure out if the Lyme caused the rage attack. Having witnessed them first hand from Gary years ago.... I can see how that could be a possibility. They sent the chimp's brain out for testing and I truly hope that they can find active spirochetes which could then prompt some additional research. I'd hate to see the poor chimp's death be for nothing (Not trying to minimize the attack or need for him to be put down, but it would be helpful if more good could come out of it.)

Good morning O's! It's cold here again, -1 when I woke up this morning. But the sun is shining and it's looking like a nice day outside! I spent the night with my oldest daughter, got to see her appartment for the first time. I must say that she is NOT a great housekeeper:) But, her life is super busy with school and work........... so I guess she is forgiven:)

I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday!! I need the weekend. LOL. Not much is happening here. We're giving away a free quickpage at Sweet Gen's blog if anyone is interested. Hoping to do some real scrapping over the weekend - haven't had much time this week at all.

Hello!!

Is it really Thursday? This week feels so weird. I've worked the whole week but my ds had 2 days off for "mid-winter break." Then he's been sick for 2 days. A weird flu-ish kinda thing. fever, upset tummy but no actual vomiting issues. Poor kid. I brought him to work again today and he is laying on the couch watching movies.

So, I got to play with my lap top yesterday. I am leaving it at work for now until I get a bag for it. I ordered 2 from overstock the other day. Hopefully I'll get that soon. I am trying to find my way around Elements. I really like it and wish i would have bought it in the first place instead of fighting my way through photoshop. I like easy simple stuff and Elements is pretty easy breezey. I also have a humongous HD so I can keep all my scrap stuff on the computer itself and only back it up with an ehd. I am so excited about it.

I also joined a Relay For Life team. A friend of mine has a sister with brain cancer and it has really touched me. I can't even imagine going through that with my own sister. that is not to mention the aunt and uncle I lost to cancer last year and the 3-4 people I know who are currently battling cancer now. I do know people who have battled cancer and have won the fight and I want that to happen more often. So, I am participating in the Relay for Life in my area. I am by no means trying to solicit money (although you are more than welcome to donate of course, since it is in fact a fund raiser) I just thought I would share my participation page with you all. American Cancer Society I am a bit excited about it and really do hope they find a cure. I hope they find a cure for a lot of things...cancer is just the one that has the biggest impact in my life at the moment.

Chris - steam cleaning? Yuck!! I hate doing carpet stuff but my husband is all about it so I let him do it. We did just get that Haan cleaner, but it is more for spots and hard floors. My dh is loving that. I hope they get more info from that poor chimp too. That is on my list of things that a cure would be great for. I also think I am almost convinced to give up my myspace account for a facebook account. people seem to shifting in that direction a bit more. Plus I don't really like myspace so much anyway.

Linda - i hope you get some sunshine. Even if it is freezing outside sunshine can make a freezing day not so bad.

ME - That qp is too cute. have fun at work.

I love you guys and think I may head off to check out facebook now, although it could get in the way of new laptop playing. Hmmm... Ciao.

Hey ladies!

Just passing thru to say hi....my little one is waking up from his nap and I have been making dinner because my husband is off tonite (my hubby works nights 3pm-11pm) so when he isnt home I dont go nuts making a big dinner you know? Its just me and the baby so I do easy stuff....... SO when he on nights off I feel like I have to make up for it and make good stuff! lol Tonight is baked chicken, Roasted red potatoes in garlic and olive oil...baked with a sprinkle of pecorino romano cheese....yummmyyy, corn, and a nice big salad. For dessert i am making these chocolate chip cookie brownie bars that he likes. (totally betty crocker box) so now that everyone is hungry.......lol

Tomorrow my son has his 1 year dr. appointment and Im assuming we will be told to start the formula to milk transition and Im excited!!!!

Also, for those of you whop gave your comments when I asked about EHD's.....I finally broke down and ordered an EHD today from Newegg. My uncle told me it was a great deal so I took advantage. Its a western Digital My book 1TB!!! got it for $95. sweet!!!!!

Clara - awesome about the laptop I am super jealous!!!!! Congrats! also I use elements (v.7) and I love it!!!! Yay!

Chris - We got some snow here yesterday too but its mostly gone today and a lil warmer. It will be spring soon!!! Dont worry!!! The thing about the chimp was totally crazy....when I heard I was like huh???? I do hope that for you and your family's sake and others who suffer that they are able to get some research done from what they find on him. what a crazy thing. I'm sure a Lyme attack is awful for anyone, chimps included. ;-(

we are NOT having a good day at my house... I came home last night from seeing Daddy to find out that Gabe's grandma had an aneurysm in her aorta and she's undergoing open heart surgery tomorrow... on top of that Daddy wasn't able to stay off the vent (I updated my prayer thread)... the doctors call the first emergency contact name on the list - in this case my sister - if they get in touch with that person it's up to the person they contacted to call the family... neither my mom nor my sister bothered to call me about Daddy being reintubated, and I found out this morning when I called to check on him... but I'm expected to keep my sister updated, and call her every time she wants to know something... I am not happy...

I got Piper registered for school this morning... I can't believe she's going to be in kindergarten come August *sigh* they're all growing up way too fast...

anyway, enough of my ramblings...

Hi my lovely O-fam :). I am in a much better frame of mind today and I am soooo sorry I unloaded my yucky garbage on you all the other day, but it really did help me by getting it off my chest! Thank you all again.

I got my SUV back from the body shop today!! I have been having to drive my DH's old Jeep and it doesn't have a working radio which made for a long drive back and forth to work with just the loud exhaust and loud humming tires to listen to haha. I am sooo thankful to have it back :).

Sandra-I'm so sorry to hear about the set back, I hope it's only temporary. Sorry, too, to hear your sis didn't call you, maybe she just was so overwhelmed and anxious at trying to calm y'alls mom down...hang in there sweetie {{{hugs}}}.

Sally-your hair rocks!!!!! you look hot :)

Kelly-that meal sounds positively scrumptious!

Clara-I'm jealous over your laptop :), hope you have tons of fun and creat tons of layouts with it! I'm so happy you are helping the ACS! I try to help all I can, I've lost several family members to cancer. I lost my mom, my maternal grandma, and my MIL all to lung ca, my mom was 42, my grandma was 52, and my MIL was 62. I was with my MIL when she passed, it was because of her I decided to become a CMA and work in Internal Med.

Linda P, MaryEllen, everyone, Hope you are having a great week. just think tomorrow is TGIF!! I love you all and will holler at you tomorrow or this weekend :).
