*deeeeeep breath*
Um, is it bad that I am freaking out a bit about how quickly this week is going? Thursday. Already! gah!

I had another day of not getting lots done but busy all day nonetheless.
After I got back from the vet, I started painting the ornaments. My poor eyes, the details are tiny and my hands are clumsy. But they are almost done. Gary got a 3D printer years ago for his birthday and every year he asks for upgrades to it. It is neat that it keeps him busy, he designs pieces and parts and uploads them to printing websites. This is how he builds a lot of the props for Halloween. If he needs a connector, he designs and prints one. It has also come in handy around the house. Last summer, the handle on the washing machine broke, and guess what he was able to do? Print a new one! Same with the top rack in our dishwasher. The clip broke so he rigged up something to hold it in place. My MILs gift for Christmas this year one of her favorite photos that he scanned and then printed- I can't think of the word but when you hold it to the light, the image shines through. He added hangers to it so she can put it in a window to catch the light.

That took up a lot of the day and I still need to finish them up today. I also did a bunch of crocheting and laundry (too much laundry!). Today I will be making the coffee butter scrubs. As long as I have jars. I didn't think to check if I had any left and if I don't I am going to have to order them. *Please be in the closet, pretty please!*
I also want to scrap a page for today's challenge, it looks like a really fun one!

Kay- That is an unpleasant surprise, waking up to unexpected snow. At least it looked pretty and you didn't have to go anywhere. But yikes, that must have scared you when you slipped. My heart dropped for you and I am just reading about it a day later. Hope the snow melted today. Be safe if you need to go outside.

Trudy- The view outside must have been so pretty.
Did you end up fixing the photo of Hunter in the calendar? I bet that no one else would notice anything "wrong" with it, we tend to be hardest on ourselves. One more week of your swim sessions, do you think you will sign up again or wait until after the holidays and see where things are at?
How does the new carpet look?? So excited for you!

Cheryl- hahaha! I am reading your new word as O-zing rhymes with dozing. Cuz if I read it was ew-zing rhymes with oozing well- yuck! :D
Oh my, as if I could adore Ava any more, she is too sweet to Fred. I am so happy and relieved and proud of your family for helping him and I hope that he continues to improve. As for the legality of a deer as a pet, what they don't know won't hurt, right? (shhhh, I didn't say or suggest anything!)
Congrats on the flooring going down! yay!

Gotta get the Pook out of bed, bribe her with coffee... BRB!

I told Caitlyn the story of Fred, she loves him already LOL
I am the same as you Cheryl, I am not coordinated enough to knit.

Felis- I can relate to your story about the birds, Caitlyn loves ferrets but they eat meat too and she can't feed them that. Even when we give the rats chicken legs as treats I have to put the bones in the cage, she gags.
You give really good advice to Cheryl too. I react emotionally (surprise! LOL) but you look at the big picture as well.
I reread what I wrote about the health insurance and I see I left out a key word "IF he was ineligible." Thankfully he still is so I don't have to worry about anything until June 2021.
I LOVE MIDDLETON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, he is so cute and big and fluffy! I want to snuggle him so much! Do you know what breed he is or a mix of breeds? How big will he get? I love him!! LOVE him!!!
You are adorable holding him too. xoxoxo

Good morning, ladies. The week is flying by. Jen is going to start pulling out Xmas bins today and tomorrow so D can put up the tree on Sat and then I can slowly start to decorate. I will facetime with B to let her see the tree and pick a few decorations to me where to place them so she feels she is participating. It'll take me a few days to get it decorated b/c I don't want to bend and stretch too much. I am going out Sat morning to the bird sanctuary and will sit a lot on the benches and hopefully not stress my back. I'll make it a short visit just in case. I really miss going so even a short visit will be nice.

Lots of work today and need to pop out for errands later.

Chris - coffee butter scrubs sounds wonderful. You are always so busy.

Felis - Middleton? I need to look back and see a photo, now I'm curious :)

Taz is pawing at my chair, wanting to go out and I'd better get back to work too so....BFN.

Good afternoon (at least here in NC) to you!
I've been getting up early this week with DH to change the bandage on his wounded hand (long story short.....he shot himself cleaning his gun!). That will be a scrapbook page down the road, LOL!

Anyway, I've gotten quite a bit done on my lap throw/blanket this week and decided to share a couple of pictures. I think it is about 18" long now. I also wanted to give you a close up of the stitching.....called seed stitch. For those of you reading who would understand, it is a 2-row pattern using knit 1, purl 1. I added a border, so I have to be sure to include those 5 stitches at the beginning and end of the row. This is a chunky yarn and there are, I think, 124 stitches on the needle. I haven't been able to get a good measurement yet of the width. The pattern looks like this for me as I knit the pattern:
Row 1: K1, P1, K1, P1, K1 (this is the border), K1, P1* across the row to the last 6 stitches, then P1, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1.
Row 2: K1, P1* across the whole row.
Row 3: Repeat Row 1.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2.
The border along the bottom is a Rib Knit pattern.....K1, P1* across the row for 5 rows.

Getting ready to hang up my dried laundry and then head out to do some birthday shopping for a grandson. Have a great afternoon!

Hello, gals... the morning has sped away while I was getting my art doll dressed up for the holidays. {Day 3 - Dress Up Your Art Doll challenge} My gal loves green [and a red Santa hat] and she grabbed a wreath as she was heading out the door. LOL Hope some of the rest of the gals are dressing up, too.

Brrr... woke up to 17* this AM but is slowly warming up - may get to 38*. Remembered that it was trash and recycle pick-up today so put on my warm robe and shoes and took it all out and set the bins on the curbside. Yes, I remembered to get the 1 year old frozen turkey carcass out of the freezer and put it in the trash. My neighbor across the street was taking his bins out, too. His driveway is still covered in snow while mine is all clear. Love my house is south facing so snow melts away quickly. Wasn't taking any chances of falling so wore my ribbed soled shoes. Yeah, that foot slip yesterday on the icy patio scared me a bit as I grabbed onto a chair to keep from falling. Most of the snow in my yard is melted except for a strip by the back patio.

Good news... DD#1 got home from AZ on Tuesday evening before the snow hit. Had to LOL as she described her car as 'loaded to the roof' for the trip home. She went grocery shopping before leaving there as she will be in 14 day self-isolation here. Numbers are so high that most of the state is in the RED zone [limited openings - stay home].

The other good news is that DD#2 and her DH put a bid on a house in MO and it was accepted. Looks like the end of January for the closing. They are in a 3 month rental right now in the area. A big house... and she said there is a guest room with my name on it! :)

Vicky, I used the seed knitting pattern on a few of the sweaters I made.. easy one to do. Love seeing the close-up of the stitches... so pretty. YIKES... your poor DH... hope he didn't do too much damage to his hand! Looking forward to seeing the LO about that once you get it done.

Rae, how wonderful that you can share via facetime picking out and hanging ornaments with B. So good that she can use the computer to be involved. You are wise to take it easy on the bending and lifting while working on that.

Cheryl, glad to hear they are back working on your house. Hey... great that they are putting the flooring in finally. Look forward to seeing more photos of the house. Glad that the family is helping the deer recover in a warmer barn than out in the woods.

Fixed enchiladas for supper last night... so yummy! Will have the same for supper tonight. I finished off the last of the frozen apple crisp dessert last night - so think it is time to make another batch as I have plenty of apples.

Good afternoon, Ozies!! LOL I change it every day.

Chris, we must be so alike. Such suckers for animals. Yes, our Ava is quite special. She's fearless! She just plopped right down on that barn floor and was holding that little deer. She never ceases to amaze me. She can "talk to the animals". I told her about the bat(s) that I suspect are in there and she said "Oh cool!". I told her we had to name it and she came right back with "Batty". It's not that original, but when I used to collect Beanie Babies (yes, I shamelessly did), one of her favorites was the darling little bat, named - wait for it - "Batty". So, that name is special after all. Now, IF there's a bat in the barn, it's Batty.

Kay, good news/bad news - great news about both your dd's! Bad news about the virus! And 17 degrees????? I yi yi - I think it's cold here. It's in the 40's, but very dark and damp. I went out in the pouring down rain yesterday to walk to the barn to see the deer, but today - I'm just letting Daisy go out on her own. She doesn't like it, but hey, that's her best option. The front yard is fenced.

Yes, work is progressing on our house - got the appliances over the weekend, too! We need to drive up there later and take a look at what progress there's been.

Vicky, your knitting looks amazing - Chris, glad I'm not the only one who got the yard wrapped around herself. And those needles - I had the urge to put them under my armpits. BWAHAHA

Gotta go and check out the board. I need to do the Art Doll Challenge, but have NO idea what I'm going to do.

Hugs to all.

Oh, girls, I knew there was something else.

WHY isn't my profile pic changed? I changed it to Daisy, in the forum, but I guess they don't automatically change. I can't seem to figure out how to change it in the gallery. DUH

Hello ladies,
What a lovely lovely day I had! You knew this wonderful feeling like you fly and not touch the ground, that come when someone that you really really like react to your IG story! It's gave me awesome begining on my morning.
And after that I spend lovely day with my mom. Her christmas gift is sewing machine, but none of us have experience in that. So we decided to make a day for learning and practise, so when she officially received it to be able to use it successful. It was lots of laugh and ''watch your fingers'' day. I think we are professional now, wink. It's a very cute story as her best friend is seamstress and her daughter is in high school now, so she decided to surprise it for Christmas with machine, and asked us to buy it at Black Friday and order to my address, as I can wait for the delivery guy. So we was OK. And she tell us how much is mean for her when she was girl and make herself shirt that collected all compliments, and how she want to recreate this moment with her daughter. Of course we was: oh, that's excellent idea, we want too, so we all jump onto that. It's sentimental girlish gift and at the same moment very practical, as my family is tiny and we often have to fix clothes, as we shop mostly online. And it also turned out to be a lot of fun!!!

Cheryl, I was read about your moving and the hotel with the dog, but I was missed the part with the kids. Thank you for the album, it's pleasure to see this project in progress! I'm from old fashioned group (I don't know how to explain it properly, it's like you have Mennonites in US, but in totally different way, as it have nothing to do with their religion or moral, but we still follow some oldfashioned lockal tradition) in wich one (or more) of the child have to stay with the parents forming bigger family group for stronger protection and care. If I was married my husband can buy neighbours house or to build house for us in my grandparents yard. So I just adore your project! And you're choose such a beautiful place! Wishing you to be very happy there!

Chris, I probably shouldn't continue to be surprised how talented and skillful Gary is, looks like it's a norm at your family, but this for the printer is soo cool! Hope you found enough jars!
Oh, I think this will be the full size of my Middleton. Now he have really soft and dense coat even it's short. I'd say very mixed breed. I know americans love to test their dogs, but it's just not a thing here. One actor was taken homeless dog when they had movie here and was test it in US, and the list was very long.

Rae, yes, my crazy family voted to adopt puppy (instead an adult dog which I usually propagande  ) and now I have to deal with one little disaster that destroys every subject that came a front of him. What to tells you, love is blind, I adore him!
Take it easy, more days decorating longer festive mood! Have fun at the bird sanctuary! OMG, are you able to visit B now with these restrictions? It must be so hard for your family ::grouphug

Vicky, What a lovely pattern, I can try it somewhere, thank you for share it! Definitely not for so big project, I'm afraid to try even sweater, blanket will takes me ages, literally! I'm so slow knitter.

Kay, how nice about your daughter's house! Is it close to your home? Looks like we have similar weather at the moment, but here is also very muddy because of the melting snow.

Hello my lovely O's I have had a super busy day today and so could not get here this morning to catch up with all of you :sorry: I spent all morning getting my challenge ready for tomorrow, then more wrapping and then adding the birthdays etc. to Heather's calendar and got that sent off to Staples. I decided that since I was mailing out parcels anyway I may as well put the calendars in with the parcels. I was originally going to send them off for the kids to pick up at their local Staples. This way they don't have to go into a store and risk anything. Anyway now I am out the door to pick up the calendar and then get all the presents etc packed into a big box and sent in the mail. Also had to get my grocery order in so I can pick it up after swimming tomorrow. Sheesh it has been non stop for me today! So sadly I will not be doing personals. However I promise to catch up with all of you tomorrow and hopefully see you in the Day 4 Challenge gallery!! Have a great evening ladies!!

Thanks, Felis! I don't see her when I look at my comments in the gallery. Thanks for letting me know that you can. It's just me, I guess. :pound::cool2:

I just left a comment on Betty Jo's LO and the picture was of me. This could only happen to me. :drama::noidea:
