Good morning! Is everyone as exhausted as I am right now? I sure hope not. But it is not surprising. that I am this tired but I am very happy that I think we all pulled off another fantastic holiday. Kids, dogs, family-- all had a wonderful time. We had lots of laughter- lots! Some tearful moments, a mix of sadness and joy between me and Arlene. We love Scott and Leah so much and I understand that she misses her husband (anniversary of his passing was yesterday) but knows how happy he would be seeing them together. But overall, such a fantastic feeling of happiness in my home.

Gary really did a lot of work in the kitchen yesterday. I will still have lots to do today too but I will be able to take breaks as needed. I also need to place a shopping order to pick up. The kids are going to PA Sunday through Wednesday but I need some actual "food" in the house for me and Gary.

Wishing everyone a fab day, Happy Boxing Day to those who celebrate that too!

Good morning everyone. What a whirlwind of activity these last few days were. Everything went wonderfully. B had a great time, so many candid photos of her laughing. We brought her back home last night after dinner and stayed to help organize and put her gifts away, as she struggles with decisions, then forgets and leaves things, so D put together things that need to get set up and I helped her organize and put away everything else. She was happy and tired. We were home and in our jammies by 9:00.

I started falling asleep in my chair around 10:30 so shuffled off to bed at 11. D stayed up for awhile (that almost never happens lol). Taz was out like a light, he was exhausted. I don't expect much activity from him today. He's go out for a few walks but I expect him to nap a lot. He was so work out yesterday he didn't even eat anything except for a few treats.

This is the first year I'm not going out shopping on Boxing Day. I just can't deal with the traffic, the parking lot at the mall and the huge lineups. I'll stay home, watch movies with D, read and scrap a bit. Sounds like heaven to me :)

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

Chris - glad you had a wonderful Xmas. There might have been tears but sounds like lots of happiness too.

I'm going to putter around the house, freeze some of the cookies so I don't eat them all and maybe scrap a bit. Have a great day everyone.

Hope everyone had a good holiday yesterday. I had a couple of pieces of cherry/peach bread for supper last evening and was in bed reading by 7:30. I vaguely remember turning the light off around 10 PM. No snow today... it went north of us. The sun is out and shining brightly and temps may get into the 40's. I don't plan on going anywhere as I know the crowds will be out in full force again today. Will be needing to go to the veggie market and pick up a few groceries but that can wait until the weekend.

I packed up the small Christmas tree and the Santa Snow globe this morning and put the regular decorations back in their place. Will keep the 2 bouquets the DDs sent to me sitting on the kitchen table. I love sitting down to eat and seeing them there so I do have a bit of holiday reminders around.

Been working on a couple of scrapping pages for next week. The New Year will be here before we know it. Hope it will be a better year for everyone.

good day was up early as I had PT. Yesterday was fun and filled with great food and family. My son's FIL loves ancestry and he put in a lot of our history and found a lot of info and documents. I think that is pretty cool. I have not gone into ancestry as I am afraid I would never come out. Our very distant relatives lived in adjacent counties. How interesting is that! I love having a mechanic. My car's warning light of low tire pressure came on and my DH was doing nothing about it so my son took the readings and he has this battery operated tire pump and filled them up. I am so lucky! My DH is home sick and has yet to go to the doctor. He claimed this morning he did not call as I was at PT and he did not know when I would be home - he knows it is usually 70-80 mins - he just did not call. I always have my phone so he could have texted and I would have left early. I spent all of the 23 getting the calendar done for my son but when I loaded to Shutterfly they had a 50% off coupon so that really made me happy! I liked how the pages turned out. Now I can go back and finish my Dec project! Today is the start of the World Jr. Hockey tournament. This is for kids under 20 and is held in the Czech Republic. Watched the Czechs defeat Russia and my former Devil Patrik Elias is one of the coaches so that is pretty cool! Now watching the USA play Canada. It is a rival game and fun to watch.

Chris so glad you are tired but tired in a happy way! How fun for the kids to go to PA for a quick trip. My DH cleaned the kitchen too. That is always sweet when they do this even after they have done so much work already.

Rae saw the photo of Taz all tired out! He is so cute. Glad that B had such a good time. Now you too can rest!

Kay you day sounds lovely. Reading and scrapping!

Waving to all
Have a great day!

Yesterday was great. We always have a fun morning and then a long talk with BiL in Oklahoma. The evil cat got one of her mice and loved it (and hid it!) and the thing we sent for bird feeding he had a hummingbird feeder he reassembled to hold the round cake of nuts and stuff. We'll see who comes. He did like the drawing and had a perfect place for it which will be visible to him lots of the time. So hurray for that. He sent great gifts (a neat puzzle from the evil cat - obviously on a cat theme). In the afternoon I took my camera for a walk around the block (no dog to walk, just the camera) in sunshine and 52 degrees. Got photos I really like too. In the evening we watched the Zookeeper's Wife, distressing but celebrating some wonderful people. Today we got up late and are doing things like groceries and laundry and it reached the 60s.

Chris, so glad the day was joyous even though the sad bits. Your family is really good at having special times. Nice the kids are headed to PA. Give you two some nice time alone.

Rae, your day sounds equally marvelous. Your skills in organizing must have made settling B's gifts easy and thoughtful. I know you'll enjoy today too.

Kay, I hate to put the Christmas decorations away, in fact got two more cards just today that I put out. Having your own special things out must be good for you though. Glad the snow missed you.

Nancy, you know about me and family history, and yes, it can become consuming as it did for me. But I sure do love doing it. Good when people enjoy the things you discover too. Hope your DH get the medical attention he needs (and gets well).

So now we count down to the new year and hope for the best.
