GooOd morning!
I made it through yesterday with all fingers and toes intact. I did knock something over at my friend's house but it was non-lethal. :D
Considering I slept terribly, I am surprised that my brain is functioning at a decent speed this morning. (ignore the coffee mugs everywhere) I finally feel like I am closing in on things. I ordered some things for my mom and my dad so I don't think I need to worry about that anymore. While I was at it, I ordered something for Cait and for Gary so whew! Getting there!!

Today is going to be watching the weather, the storm is coming in earlier and worse than it was predicted yesterday. Sleet and snow starting at 1 pm. Scott is off today but Caitlyn is going to have a rough time getting home. I'll keep an eye on Skyline Drive which will close when the roads are bad, I know she has another way to get home but it's longer and will get backed up b/c everyone will use it to get home.
Linda, do you miss those days in IA? :D

The electric company upgraded some connections on the poles but also said that they don't think it is going to fix the flickering problem. What that means... who knows? Just hoping that we don't lose power from the ice.

What is on the table for you to do today? I am baking this morning and probably working on Caitlyn's ornaments too. Gary was bummed that he didn't have his mom's stuffing for Thanksgiving so I am making chicken and her stuffing for dinner. Such a good wife *G*

Maybe-- just maybe-- I will have some time to scrap today. I need to comment on my challenge and LOs. I am the worst host, I have been very neglectful. :(

@LSlycord I saw the photo of Syd finishing her paper by the pool, good for her and yay for you! Shaddup about being finished wrapping, I haven't even started. I might try to do some of that tomorrow. Our Christmas Day menu is also on my list to discuss at dinner tonight with the 4 of us. I haven't thought about that other than to tell people that I haven't thought about it yet when they ask. hahaha!

@BrightEyes I can just imagine you inhaling that coffee #coffee
Please take care of your arm, don't want to reaggravate that nerve

@Cherylndesigns ROTF!! That tree is too funny-- remember all of the Claymations? That is what it reminds me of.
And is your yeehaw GIF what Tex looks like in his head? LOL!
That is one way to get the blood pumping, having to chase after the dogs. It's so funny how some dogs will stay right in the yard and others will take off in a flash. Our first 2 dogs always stayed in the yard off-leash. These two we have now-- forget it. When we first rescued W she would take off the second the front door opened and could slip through.

@bcgal00 I saw the pics on FB of the girls in the snow, so dang cute! You are one brave lady, that's so cold. Did you soak in the hot tub when you got home?

@vickyday MIL says she liked the idea of yarn, so it will be a nice surprise for what she picks out
I wish I had a suggestion for the sleep stuff but I am most definitely not the one to ask. You must have really been conked out to not hear Mark's texts. Poor guy must have been really worried about you

@tanteva Yuck, it is bad enough to have your teeth hurt like that and then to have to go back a second time to get it fixed. I hope the dentist didn't charge you for the second appt. Can you put a heat pack on your ear while you wait for the Dr appt? That was one of the tricks I picked up when Caitlyn had chronic ear infections as a baby/toddler.
I cannot even think about how cold it is in Sweden. I would not be able to survive, you hear me complaining about the snow/cold we get in NJ. Sweden- even with its universal healthcare-- nope, wouldn't be able to make it there.
Thanks so much for the info on the yarn-- keep on rambling if it helps keep your mind off of everything else. ♥

Good morning. I slept 7 hours and 47 minutes yesterday. I haven't hit 7 in weeks. I guess, having my whole family home and tucked in safely was enough to give me a very good night's sleep. It may also have helped that Hayden slept with Sydney. #clap She didn't even bark when Brian got up with Andie or when I got up. She is just so happy to have her Sydney back. And so am I! She got home about 10:30 yesterday morning and was complaining about how tired she was. I told her that she should go take a nap. Finally, she made it upstairs to shower at about 1:00. At about 1:30, she called me on her phone (yes, she did) and said "upstairs" so I went up to see what she wanted. She just wanted to have me lay on her bed with her and the dogs for awhile. We both wound up with a 2 hour nap. LOL Best Christmas present ever.

I ordered Chinese food for supper because the cupboards really are pretty bare here. Then I made the green cornflake wreaths at her request...although I didn't have any of the little red hot candies left.

Today's agenda...get to the grocery store.

I'll make it back for some personals after a bit. Have a good day ladies!

Good morning!
Still not much sleep last night, but I must have slept hard because I feel pretty good even with just 3 hours of sleep!
Just working a few misc. pages before I get some lunch and then go through the yarn and Christmas decoration tubs I brought up from the basement earlier today. Not sure if I will decorate or just sift through the stuff and decide what I want to keep and what I want to get rid of! "Found" some cute baby yarn that I'm going to try my hand at making some socks.....AFTER I finish the blanket. I did work on it some more last night before bed and while listening to an audiobook.
Mark offered to take me to lunch today, but when the time came he said he needed to take a raincheck because he wasn't feeling very hungry! So I suggested going to Ruby Tuesday tonight for supper and he liked the idea!
We have had rain for more than a week off and on.....mostly on! With the exception of a couple of days here and there. The basement is leaking big time! And the temp is cold! Was supposed to get to 33 last night so there were probably some slick spots here and there, especially on overpasses and bridges. 'Tis the season!
Time to think about lunch!
Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. Had fun playing in the snow with the dogs for a few hours at the ski resort. Bella was not into it as much but Remi was crazy, racing in and out of the snow, barreling through it, digging tunnels, buried up to her neck half the time. She had huge snowballs stuck to her belly/groin and it took an hour in the warm car to melt them. She didn't care, she was over the top excited with all that snow. Next Wed we will take the dogs out to a park that we haven't been too before, just over an hour away. They will have lots of snow there too. We are at the edge of the grasslands so get the least amount of snow in the city, when we have 4-6" everyone else has 8-10 and then as you go out further, it gets colder and the snow level doubles and triples. So much fun for the dogs. All this within a 20-60 min drive away.

Today I'm staying home except for groceries and dog park. I have house chores and maybe scrap.

@faerywings Have fun getting the baking done and working on the ornament.

@LSlycord Sounds like wonderful family time. She's home until after Xmas now, right? Enjoy.

I'm getting more coffee, time to feed the birds and go play ice hockey with Remi, me kicking ice chunks past her, the goal is for me to get the ice past her, to slide under the stairs and she has to run around behind them to retrieve it and bring it back to do it again and again and again. She loves it.

HAGD everyone.

Good afternoon all

Eva @tanteva that's a riot I love it!

Chris @faerywings sounds like you're in the home stretch. Good luck with that storm! They're SO nerve wracking. You never know exactly what's coming. Yes, it's a circus around here. Daisy only needs a crack in the door to be an escape artist, too. Whenever anybody comes in, they have to make it quick so she doesn't scoot out. Chuck was not happy with her yesterday. Lila got right in the car, but Daisy wanted to play chase when he got out with the leash.

Guess what? The tree saga is over! We had everybody looking for that darned tree base yesterday and it seems to have vanished. Hmmmmmmmm odd, isn't it? I had the brilliant idea to bring one of our big pots in and we filled it full of gravel and tried to stand the tree in that, but it only leaned against the bar. So, we bought a new tree. Walmart had them on sale and ours was pretty old anyway and all the lights had burned out last year. I hated to spend the money on one right now but it was on sale. So, about 10:30 last night I decided to start decorating it. I put on Christmas music and decorated the new tree. SO, the saga ends. Hahaha I knew you'd all want to know.

Chris @faerywings I'm glad you've been enjoying my giphs.

Gotta run today - the girls and I are driving an hour and a half to go to a Christmas Walk - it's on Route 66 - Yahoo! Yeehaw! I've never been on Route 66 and it's been on my bucket list. We'll probably be gone until tonight - we're going to get an early start because it looks like it's going to be very busy. I hope to get lots of good pictures!

Talk later - hugs to all.
