GooooOd and very cold morning to you all. It is only 21* now and is supposed to stay that way all day. Tonight is going to be 9* and a wind chill of -10!
It will be a good day to stay inside and bake.

Before I get to do the fun stuff, I have to figure out what to do about my and Scott's health insurance. We are still waiting to hear back from the State health insurance. I applied 2 months ago, called several ties and now I am at a loss. Today is the last day to sign up for the ACA but I am not sure if that is just for new applicants. I have been hoping that I would have heard by now from the FamilyCare, I don't want to have two open applications with different agencies and all that. Governmental chaos at its finest and I don't want my health insurance in the middle.

i got a few more things accomplished yesterday, wrapped 3 more presents (slow and steady hehe!!), and found the ones that were missing. There were at the bottom of a box of summer clothes that I never finished packing. In September. Go figure.
Still no sign of my glasses.

Hoping that all of you have a wonderful day, there is a lot more going on intheAdventEvent. Enjoy!

Nancy- lots being crossed off your list too! No wonder you didn't have too much time online. How cute that Magnum's owner said to ring the bell so he can come out. Luther will be so happy. Jaida has so much pent up energy and was barreling through the house last night, like a mad-dog.

Jean- lots of stuff for you too- busy but getting done! Nice!
I know, Cait gets it but she loves Christmas so much that she hates to see me grumble. (who doesn't? LOL)

NancyP- yikes, that is cold!! I won't complain about my balmy 20*. Another reason why it is good to live inNJ- we don't have to pump or own gas, so we get to stay in our cars. enjoy snuggling in!

Rae- ack about the gas cap! Poor dude helping you, but the mom in me wants to yell at him to put on a coat :)
Sort of sorry that your work overload is hectic, but like you said, it will balance out in January.
Awesome news about the computer, you must be so excited!
Is it mean for me to hope that Trudy is a hot stinky mess? :pound: I am just kidding, just wish I was the one who was the hot stinky mess.

xoxox!!!!

good morning - It is cold here - anything below freezing is cold to me. It is 23 so not bone chilling but still cold. It will be bone chilling in Ottawa but it is not like I have to go out or I can't get cabs to take us places. But Sat is to be snow so that should be pretty. Luther is at day care so I don't have to get him out for walks. I am heading out shopping and figure that with him happy I don't have to worry about the house and what Luther will find. Luther and I went down to Johns Street yesterday to see the decorations and OMgosh this street has gone above and beyond! My son thought is way too much but that is because he lives in a minimalists home. I took photos and scrapped the photos and will post them soon. Started my first load of laundry and some of my sons so for our trip. Tonight the Devils play the Blues in St. Louis so that will be fun to watch while I make sure that I have everything ready for the trip. An I hope that I am not singing the blues at the end of the game.

Chris glad you are getting your list accomplished. Slow and steady as the tortoise proved. I have to figure out my insurance too. I go to Medicare come February so I have to figure out what plans to select so there are no lapses. I am hoping this is not too much of a struggle but always based on your stories I am not too sure! Hope you get it figured out!

Jean glad you got your packages all mailed. I still have to finish up my cards. Not too many to send anymore.

NancyP wow that is cold. As Chris said we in NJ are not allowed to get our own gas so I just sit back and let them do it. Enjoy the time inside. And I am going to assume the answer to your rhetorical question is your family is in Michigan.

Rae congrats on the good news about the computers! Hope the work get done fast fast fast.
Glad your snow has stopped.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning ladies.... I'm baaacckk!! But I really wish I was still under the Palapa and reading my book!! It was a wonderful vacation! The weather was perfect everyday, but they say that is the way it is until May when the rainy season hits. It was very warm and beautiful and I will post pics in the coming days. Right now I really need to catch up on all the happenings here! My challenge runs tomorrow and I hope that you will all participate! It is chilly here, but nothing compared to what we used to arrive home to when we lived in Saskatchewan. Kind of nice to see the snow on the ground, but the temps could warm up a bit and melt it all and I would not be upset! :becky: I hope that you are all doing well and I will try to read up on all the happenings here over the past week. It is a bit overwhelming to come back to 4 pages of unread items in the forum thread. Not to mention all of the challenges that I would love to be able to do. Its not going to happen though, there is too much else going on right now. We came back to find out that my Gary's Dad has shingles and is suffering terribly with it. MIL has also got a very sore foot, another corn, she is plagued with them, not sure why? So she is in a lot of pain also. SIL Sharon is flat on her back unable to move, apparently she had a rear end collision 2 years ago and she thinks this has come back to haunt her?? I didn't even know she had an accident!! This family is not good for sharing :gaah: She see a specialist on Friday to find out what the heck is going on with her back. Not sure what will happen with Christmas for all of them, but perhaps it will just have to be put on hold until everyone is healthy again. We feel badly for not being here to help them out, but we only have our son and his family here with us for 2 years so we are not going to miss spending Christmas with them! (are we being selfish??) Anyway I better get busy and get some things done around here. Tons of :washing: to do and I need to put some last minute touches on the Christmas gifts. Still nothing done in the way of decorating yet either, no tree for sure, but I would like to put somethings out! Have a wonderful Thursday everyone, I am off to read up on 4 pages of missed fun here at the "O"

Good morning, ladies. Welcome back Trudy!

I was really diligent with my work yesterday and was finished up by 9 pm. The next four days of work will be the busiest but I am ready for it and will be focused and not be online too much. I am going to play for a few minutes this morning and do Nicole's template challenge. Then I will get to work.

Woke up to 17° weather this morning and took a few pics with my phone off my porch and of the thermastat, so I can scrap about it.

Chris - good that you finally found the gifts LOL. I can sooooo relate :)

Nancy - doesn't it seem quiet when Luther goes to daycare? I sure notice the quiet around here when Taz goes. I get more done around here when he goes but then I can't wait to pick him to bring him again that night. He was so tired from yesterday that he came home and passed out all night LOL.

Trudy - welcome home to frozen BC :) Can't wait to see your holiday pics!

Gotta go, have a wonderful day, everyone.

Snow, wind, cold (teens) here. Yuck! Anyway we plan to be in today and have a bean soup for dinner. I've got to get more holiday stuff done.

Chris, I shudder to think what you go through with health insurance. We finally picked our new plan and time will tell if we did the right thing. Sure glad you found the missing presents, but what a curious place.

Nancy, I'm amazed at these doggie day care places but they sound wonderful. How nice to not have another Luther meltdown in the house. Good luck in tonight's hockey game. Will love hearing about the trip to Ottawa. My only time there was a birding trip with our local club.

TRUDY!! Welcome back. We've sure been envious of your warm vacation. Sorry to hear of someone with shingles. That is the absolute pits. Sick people aren't going to be able to complain if you spend Christmas with DS's family. I know you and Gary won't neglect the others though.

Rae, you are so good to keep plugging on the work and getting it done. Wish I were better disciplined like you. Keep warm and safe in the snow.
