What a fantastic way to start my day! All of you ladies are the best.
Did everyone else have a silly day?
Mine wasn't silly but I was able to get some more things done around the house plus I made dinner. Not bad. (Honestly, not super great but I'll take not bad LOL) It drizzled most of the day and we'll have more today. Tomorrow is supposed to be the heavy rain and winds from the leftovers of Hurricane Debby. I think it was one of the few days we didn't need the AC on. In fact, I was freezing in here while Gary was saying he was too warm. Go figure.*G*

I am cleaning here this morning so when the kids are here for dinner tomorrow I won't be worrying that any dog hair is in the food. Scott let me know that he is also coming with Sam and Jen for wedding prep stuff so I am going to have a bunch of people for dinner ♥

On that- let me post and get on to personals

8.3K hike converts to almost 5 and 1/2 miles
That's a long one (for me at least!) but I bet the views of the lake are wonderful. Did your friend go slow enough for you to take some pictures are they all blurry from going high speed? ;) I am taking a Women in the Wilderness course on Saturday and part of it will be doing the same hike I messed my knee on last month. I am nervous which is silly, but the coming down rock scrambles did me in last time.

@JeanneMN Good luck at the dentist today, I am sending you lots of calming thoughts. I never minded the dentist, I get much more anxious at the eye doctor. Too many decisions- is it better this way?- or this way? And they both look the same. Even with my brand new contacts Rx, they still aren't perfect but I gave up. Oh well.
One of my nicknames was "Fangs." My eyeteeth didn't have room where they were supposed to be so they came out of my gums above the rest of my teeth. I had braces as a kid and as an adult. And I know what you mean--$$$$$$$$$ :/
I'm so happy the weather cooperated on vacation! It sounds so very relaxing being on the lake. Love that your family enjoyed seeing your scrap albums, especially the joy of your cousin's DD at seeing herself.

@AK_Tracy You and Cheryl had me *thisclose* to :coffeescreen:
The vibration plate made me think of this:
vibration-machine_fe.jpg

I'm sorry that it hurts so much to feel better.

@BrightEyes The anniversary book and page are going to be stunning! Thank you for showing what you have done so far! I can't believe that you had the right cardstock and found it! I'd be happy dancing if I found what I needed in my closet too- just for different reasons, which are finding *anything* in my closet is incredible LOL
So glad that you were able to order the extra photo sleeves with the discount too. It's nice when everything works out the way you need it to.

@vickyday :sleeping1: Just reading about your day wiped me out! You ran non-stop.
I don't know a thing about FB marketplace but I am glad that you are getting some sales. Good luck if you submit some of the repackaged items if you decide to do it that way.
Ummmmm..... yeah, I've taken a shower and gotten dressed. Feeling like a slacker after reading what you have done.
Some days that is all I can do too.

@JeanneMN Just a little "light" reading on vacation, eh? My grandmother loved JFK because he was good-looking and Catholic. Some point off for being Irish, not Italian, but she loved him. :p

I'm in and out today - I forgot to do my CP Blog post. I guess all the kids being here so late threw me off my routine. I'm sure everybody understands that life happens sometimes. So, I'm going to scoot on out, do my post (it's started) then I can come back.
It happens and no one will be upset!
We're a rowdy bunch and all talk at once. Alyssa's new BF seemed to take us in stride. We always laugh that we're a lot to handle. We had the music blaring and we were outside dancing at one point.
Sound like a blast! It makes me happy to see you happy :hug3:
My mom is super stubborn about shoes. (about almost everything, TBH!) She didn't like mine, said they were too clunky but I don't care if they are. They are comfortable and I can walk in them just fine.
If I had a million dollars I would love to get Lasik done so I wouldn't have to wear contacts and cheaters at the same time.
Listen to Ava, she is one smart lady!

Annnnnnnddddd

Good Morning ladies... I am just popping in again this morning as I am headed out for a kayak with SIL's Linda and Sharon this morning. Just having a coffee and then going. I got a layout finished for one of the challenges onTuesday and haven't had a chance to post it to the gallery yet, so I really need to do that today. Yesterdays hike was so very nice and I took a few shots so might be able to make a page later. Anyway the Lake is calling so I gotta go :paddling: have a great day and I will try to catch up with all of you later on.

Good morning ladies. I saw mention of FB marketplace. We check that all the time. You never know what deals you might find. Last week I got two cute little wooden dog food bowls and stands. I only needed one for Taz (Remi has a large stand with big bowls for food and water) so put the spare away in case the other breaks (b/c of Taz's crazy acrobats with food bows lately, the way he flings them around). Darrell has had great success with selling stuff on there.

I'm off to the dog park soon with Remi. We'll go to the big park and walk the perimeter as I throw her ball. My back is bugging me so it means I've been sitting more (playing games) and walking less. So a good walk, maybe a few min of the heating pad as I watch a show and then I'll be ok to get ready to head out for mahjong at lunchtime.

You guys know me and packing for trips. I started the first run of packing yesterday. Pulled out a few things and put them on the rack. I'm going to keep in mind the organization tips I recently saw in a YT video (the one I sent you the link for Chris). We don't leave for 6 wks but its fun to start pulling pieces together and the added challenge is that it almost all has to fit into my carry-on and personal bag (my new personal is like a mini suitcase which is going to be awesome).

@faerywings Enjoy your clunky shoes for the wedding. They are in style and they will be comfortable.

Remi is poking me (and we know who is the boss here), it's time to get to the park. HAGD ladies.

Morning, all. Hope everyone on the east coast survives TS Debby and doesn't get flooded. Will be checking with DSon#2 to see how they weathered the storm today.

Just finished uploading my Spicy LO to the galleries this morning. It makes me hungry so may pull out the enchilada sauce and guacamole for dinner tonight. :D

@Cherylndesigns So sorry you are having so much problems with the progressive lens. I had a pair many years ago... and had similar problems... had to change them for my 'computer' glasses as I couldn't tilt my head back enough with them to read the screen. BTW... I was in hysterics reading your and Tracy's posts!!! :coffeescreen:

@faerywings So glad your shoes for the wedding are comfortable... too bad your mom doesn't do the same and find a pair of shoes she will be comfortable and steady when wearing them. I haven't worn high heels shoes in years. Comfort and steadiness in shoes are what I look for in any shoes I buy/wear now. Have fun with all the family at dinner tonight.

I managed to work on the Anniversary album last evening... got another third moved. Decided I need to add some decorative page breaks. The celebration photos were taken over a 4 day period - 2 days before as family arrived, the evening before with a family/friends supper, the Anniversary event, and the day after with family. For now I am adding a page with cardstock in between each day... will come back later and add the decorations and details of each day. My goal right now is to get all the photos transferred from the old album into the new one. Hoping to finish transferring all of them by Saturday. Need to get all of the stuff moved into the craft room by then so I can clean for the lunch on Tuesday.

Gotta go... DD#1 is calling.

Our job here is done! We managed to throw Chris for a loop! :spinningchair: I did think of you last night and though oh poor Chris will have to wade through this conversation. Poor Chris.
Anyway the Lake is calling so I gotta go :paddling:
This sounds blissful and fun. I love that you get to answer the lake when it calls.
We don't leave for 6 wks but its fun to start pulling pieces together and the added challenge is that it almost all has to fit into my carry-on and personal bag
Okay, I am a planner but I Have never started packing 6 weeks out. :giggle4: What if you change your mind? What if you wanna wear it before you leave? Packing to fit a carry on can be a challenge but its fun. Kind of like playin Tetris back in the 1900's :floorlaugh::giggle4:

Today is haircut day. While I wont be going crazy with color I might go crazy with cut. My daughter keeps telling me I need to shave the back bottom half so there's less hair. I dont think mine is quite as crazy curly as Chris and Cheryl but it is thick thick. I want to wear it down more but it drives me nuts and falls in my face. I hate hair in my face. But the thought of light sounds amazing. I like longer hair but its so heavy it gives me a headache. UGH what to do? I also need it to be pulled back on Wednesdays when I cook so it cant be short. Too many choices. But since I got it cut last time, thinned, its mostly been in a ponytail as I hate it being in my face. So if I cut/shave the back bottom maybe there wont be so much pushing it forward? I dont know. Think 90's when the rage was to shave the back of your head and no one knew unless you pulled it up. I always thought it looked stupid and it might but ugh. Why are haircuts so hard to figure out? Why cant my hair grow away from my face and not fall in my eyes? Why cant I find a style and stick with it more then 3 months?
Okay, off to get more coffee and look in the gallery.
HAGD

What a great way to divide between the days. And when you get all the photos moved it will give you something fun to go back and personalize. And you'll be familiar with the photos again to make it extra special.

Good afternoon.

We DID go off the rails last night. :rotfl::floorlaugh::lol23:I'm not sure what happened - :shemademe: I'm glad we entertained you all - I was almost afraid to come in here this morning. It got pretty crazy. I was laughing so hard - :floorlaugh:

OK - we'll TRY to behave ourselves. That's a tough one.

I started my "food prep" last night. Kay @BrightEyes I'm going to turn into you with meal planning. I have five days worth of meals ready to eat and they are good. I cooked a big bag of chicken, a pan of couscous, sauteed red peppers and baby spinach, and water chestnuts, and then layered them in my "bowls". I put Yum Yum sauce on three of them and Teriyaki sauce on the rest. I'm going to make the Skinny Yum Yum sauce when I'm out of the bottles I bought - thanks for the recipe, Rae @bcgal00.

I'll never catch up with personals now, but Chris @faerywings I had SO much fun with all of the kids the other night - thanks for the hug. Sorry your mom is so stubborn - she'll wish she had on cozy flats by the end of the night. LOL I KNEW that she would never entertain the idea of wearing them.

Kay @BrightEyes these bifocals are NOT going to work for me either at the computer. I can already tell you that - I have the same problem you did. I can't tilt my head back far enough. Oh well, we have to do what we have to do. They work for everything else. I was afraid that this would happen. Hey, thanks for reminding me to post my Spicy page.

I'm going to get off of here now, but I'll probably pop back in later. Hugs to everybody. XOXO

Quick in and out. Not feeling great today. Woke up at 4:30 nauseous and on the potty several times between then and 9 when I got up to take Tylenol and moved to the recliner.
Finished listening to The Shack in between naps. Mark and I watched the movie last weekend. Very good.
Have a good evening. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow.

Vicky @vickyday here's the Yum Yum sauce I buy - it's the original. It's Japanese Steak House Sauce - it's basically a mayo based sauce, but it's sweet and not spicy at all - we buy takeout from a Japanese food truck in our little town and that's where we got hooked on it. It's YUMMMMMMM YUMMMMMM. You definitely need to try it - it doesn't upset my tummy at all.
