Is it just me or is it really insane that it is the last day of August????
I can't get over the fact that summer is gone. And boy, it feels like it with the weather we are having. Please, let us have a really nice Indian Summer, please!!

Caitlyn had a "meh" day yesterday. She had 3 classes, didn't say much about any of them except that her Lit Professor seems ok. She usually needs a bit of time to warm up so maybe in another week she will be happier. We had a nice time going to get ice cream last night. I love that the girls get along even though they aren't in the same friend group. They have a bond since they have been friends since they were 18 months old. Kinda crazy that they are off to their Sophomore years in College.

I am off to the dentist this morning to get some pre-cavities filled, then I have to get blood work done on my way home. I really don't want to go and have been putting it off for a week. pfft.

After that, I think I am going to try to do some non MoS scrapping. I have been dying to work with the new Falling for You collab. It is gorgeous!

That is about it, hope everyone has a super day!

Super quick personals- so late!

Trudy- I did that Lo yesterday and it was so not my style. But it is done. Hope you got yours done too.
We'd have to pay capital gains for the house too, but the sale of the other house would be able to cover the property taxes on the lake house for a while. But worth it.

Nancy- you must be in sports heaven!! Enjoy it all!
Crazy about the teachers- as of yesterday, there was no Prof posted for the Abnormal Psych class Cait has today.

Rae- loved your Eclectic LO! You are so good at clustering!

jean- the sun was nice to see here too and I better enjoy it because it looks like rain here all weekend.

hugs!

good morning - Luther has to go to vet for an ear check. Poor boy. If it is fast then we may go on a quick walk. Not much else going on. It was a quiet day just enjoying sports but so sad watching the rain in Texas and now on to Louisiana and maybe some rain for us over Labor Day weekend. I have been looking at printers. When I went to print my boarding pass our printer did not work even with new ink. So I now I just have to hit enter to order but I am just not sure to order with out actually seeing it but it has gotten great reviews. Oh well still debating. Had a good dinner out with my girlfriends. One just became a grandmother for the 2nd time. Now she has a boy and girl. She is happy and her daughter is doing well. It was great catching up.

Chris I too can't believe this is the last day of Aug. I don't know where it went. I too hope for a long Indian summer. I think it always takes time for students and teachers to see if the class clicks. Good luck to Cait. Sound like good scheduling to have so many on one day.

Trudy hope you got your page done. Sounds like a lovely time with your relatives and living in Australia is a long way away. But I would sure like to visit. I talked to my girlfriend who went on a cruise to Alaska and she did not like it at all. Too boring - but she is not a wildlife person. She said while in Denali they saw no animals. How can that be? Now you would probably have a great time as they saw whales, eagles, seals. Too funny how bad she thought it was.

Rae are you heading to your trailer for a long weekend or does it get too crowded at the crossing? Hope you were not too busy with all you work.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... It is cloudy and cool here this morning, but still no sign of the rain that we so desperately need! I bet the people in Texas would be more than happy to share some of their rain with us. Such a different summer here, as dry as it is we have never gone beyond level 1 watering restrictions, we had so much rain and snow this past winter that the water levels are still really good, such a change from the past couple of summers! I am still working on my last page for MOS, I know what I want to do its just finding all the elements to use and from many different designers, I am such a one kit kind of person LOL. Oh well its been fun! However it will be nice to just make some pages for the "O"!!

Chris - Hopefully Cait will settle into her new classes quickly, it always is hard to get back into the swing of things after the summer! so nice that the girls get along so well even though they are not in the same circle of friends! I bet the ice cream was yummy!! One time I had ice-cream this summer was with Jason and family in Courtney, they have the most amazing little place that serves gelato it was to die for!! I felt bad for cheating on my Keto, but it was so worth it! :hungry: Good luck with your dentist and blood work appointments today! I need to make a Dr. Appt to have some testing done soon too, anxious to see what she has to say about my weight loss also. Thats too bad that you would have to pay capital gains on the property at the beach too! With the cost of property here right now, it would be too much for us. Anything Lakefront is well over 1 million and the In-Laws own a huge lot!!

Nancy - Poor Luther, hope his ear is ok!! Hope you both get out for a nice walk today, is your knee feeling a lot better now? Yes it is heart breaking to watch all of the people displaced because of the weather!! My goodness how long will it take to get back on their feet again?? Sure hope they get the help that they so desperately will need in coming months!! I would also love to visit Australia!! Guess I would have a few places to stay while I was there LOL! Three relatives are living there. My oldest sisters daughter in Melbourne, my brother's son in Sidney and my brother's daughter in Lenox Head. Its just finding someone to go with me as I know my DH would never be on a plane for that long :becky: Might just have to go on my own. Yes I would love the Alaska trip, I see all those animals here, but to see the icebergs and the beautiful mountains and scenery would be amazing too! So happy also that Outlander will be starting up again soon! :bliss:

Rae - How nice that Jen will be joining you at the trailer!! I bet you all have a wonderful time together! Sure hope that the border crossing is not crazy for you! But I suppose you are prepared for it and quite used to the long line ups! Thanks for the comment on my MOS page! I ended up having to have it removed as I loaded the wrong page LOL. I had worked on it during the day before uploading and saved it to a different place than I normally do. So I put the wrong one up, they were kind enough to remove it for me and now my proper one is there, but I lost all my comments too  The page isn't all that different, just a couple more brushes used. I hope you and Taz are enjoying a lovely morning together!

Jean - Nice to hear that the sun has come back to your area! Hope you got to be outside to enjoy it for a while! I am happy to be home all day again today and other than a bit of watering I have not much to do except finish this last page for MOS. This weekend will be another busy one as we are headed up to the Lake to help out with fixing the boat wharf for FIL. It is a never ending job as he really needs a new wharf. But at his age he is not going to put out that kind of money, especially when he will most likely be selling his boat soon.

Off to go through my stash, and find the 30 plus elements I need for this final page!! :becky: wish me luck! I am not that great at clustering, Rae I could use your help with this!! :help: Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning, ladies. Got a busy morning (as always LOL) and need to get to work. Doing the MOS challenges was fun but so time consuming. Need to get back to my regular schedule now. But I sure am glad I participated in it and it feels good to have completed all challenges. It really pushed me outside my comfort zone.

Chris - hope you get some "me" time later and have fun scrapping.

Nancy - hope Luther's ear is ok. It's funny how we all perceive things differently. I absolutely loved Alaska and would go again in a heartbeat. The beauty is breathtaking and I loved the quieter pace (not like the tropical party cruises we've been on before).

Trudy - hope you get your last page done. If you are like me, you had fun but it's time to move on LOL. I want to get back into my regular scrapping style. Can't wait to see your last page!

I'm getting to work now so I can get a few more pages done for work before sending in my invoice this morning. Have a great day, everyone.

Back to clouds today but yesterday was nice and even pretty warm. End of August? How can that be? Wish summer could go on and on...

Chris, not sure I can still remember what it was like first day of college classes. Hope Cait gets into it quickly. Hope your day improves from dentist and lab work!

Nancy, how's Luther doing? Hope it's something quickly fixed. Amazing your friend didn't like the Alaska cruise. Not sure I would either though as not crazy about being cooped up on a boat. Have only done boats for birding with one or two nights max. Our Alaska trip including boats in two places, but mostly on land and was so super and incredible. Hope you'rte enjoying the tennis.

Trudy, good luck with he last MoS page. 30 elements sounds so daunting. It would be great if you could visit Australia. But for now enjoy being home.

Rae, have a great weekend! And everyone too.
