The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Well, it looks like I never made it back to chat here yesterday. :( But I did survive my day and that is a whole lotta good!

I *think* that we have Caitlyn's schedule all set. I checked again in the morning and it looked ok to me, but Caitlyn then realized that she still didn't have a lunch for 2 marking periods and that she had a study but there was no period for it and she didn't request it. One more email sent, where I *literally* spelled out the exact changes and her guidance counselor says that it should be fixed by today. He also called me Mr. Campbell. I guess he missed all of the emails where I signed my name Christine :suspicious::pound:
Scott's SAT issues will hopefully be resolved before the deadline..... *sighs*

And the good news-- I scrapped two pages for September Challenges. One I like, one I am not crazy about. But it is better than nothing. I only scrapped 2 pages in July and now 3 in Aug. I used to do about 10 a month :(
But maybe this is what I need to get my butt going again.

Today I am off to see my BFF and hang out by her pool. I was supposed to go yesterday but we rescheduled b/c of the weather forecast and good thing we did, it poured all afternoon. Then the family watched The Little Mermaid. I looove that movie!!! It reminds me of many good times with my kids when they were little. It was in heavy rotation for years. Cait would pretend to be Ariel at the lake and sing that song over and over. And the highlight of one of our Disney trips was when she got to meet Ariel.
Now I am stressing over HS and driving and self-esteem issues. Can we PLEASE turn back time!!!???

Temptation on Thursday:
I really gotta find me a Time Lord ;)

Hi Trudy! When does Heather have to go back? I know how much you are going to miss them, but yay for looking forward to spending good quality time with YMG!
I hope that the tea leaf reading comes true too!

Hey Phyllis! We got the t-storms here all afternoon, and we did the same, had the AC on for the darn humidity. Thanks for the cheers for me and my kids!

And to everyone else that pops in, hugs!!!

another hot, humid day here in the jungle! when i woke up this morning, after having had the windows open all night, everything feels DAMP in the house. looks like another ac day. Chris, enjoy your poolside time. it's still freaking me out that summer is pretty much OVER. i feel like it never started. if we have a bad, long winter, i'm gonna cry!! :hurt: honestly, the idea of living someplace that doesn't really HAVE seasons is looking more and more attractive to me. ha. dream on. Hubby would NEVER move.

i think i have a lot of house cleaning to catch up on today. plus i'm still taking down the bathroom wallpaper. i have a woman coming in to paint the vanity, mirror and light fixture in there next week, which i hope turns out well. then new fixtures need to be installed, and the every-popular PAINTING of the walls and ceiling needs to be done by me. gaaah! i don't want to think about it. sometimes i wish that i had played the "who? little old MEEEE be able to paint? i could NEVER do something like that! i don't know how! ( bat eyelashes here....) you're so big and strong, Hubby. i know you can just do EVERYTHING!" card when i was a young bride, instead of doing everything possible to prove i was some sort of Superwoman. now i'm EXPECTED to paint and haul top soil in a wheelbarrow, move heavy things, etc., etc., etc.

hope everyone has a beautiful August day. shun housework, wherever possible. :becky:

Morning ladies... It's a :rain: day today and man is it pouring!! They might finally be able to lift the fire ban around here. Trying to keep very quiet this morning as everyone is still in bed. SIL stayed overnight and hopefully she is having a nice sleep!

Chris - Enjoy your day around the pool! Glad to hear that you finally are getting results from the guidance counsellors (Mr. Campbell :becky:) Heather has to leave on Monday morning :hurt: I am going back with her so that I can help get settled back into her house in Mitchell, Ontario. I can fly as her attendant so that means all I have to pay are the taxes on the flight. Using airmiles to get back home so this is not going to cost me much at all. So anytime she needs to come home she can have an attendant fly with her and it saves a lot on flight costs.

Phylis - Somehow I can't imagine you playing the helpless housewife part  But guess it would have been better in the long run for you not to have to paint and haul heavy objects . To all of us you are Superwoman and you have amazing talent scrapping too so you've got it all my friend!! Hope you get the last of the wallpaper off your bathroom today, I don't envy you that job for sure!! Then try to enjoy some of the rest of the day and put your feet up or scrap about your Super powers :becky:

I got two pages scrapped so far for the September challenges and hoping to get one more in before having to pack my suitcase and head off for my three day visit. So again I will be MIA for a bit. But I will have the rest of the Fall to try to catch up here, and then get started on my calendars before my brother and his wife head off to Australia again for 6 months. Wish I could fit in their suitcase and tag along with them!! Enjoy your day everyone!!

Hi ladies!!!! It's been a while!!

Things in Nana's World are crazy as ever! School is underway this week...kids seem to be okay with the new classes and teachers (Bug is having a tiny bit of problem, not being in her old class, but she will do fine). Both were ready to go, which makes me feel good.

Baby Savannah, who is not a baby, is turning 4yo next week...OMG!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?? I am feeling a little nostalgic! I had to pull up the thread when she was born.....she was my true O BABY, as she was the only one of "my" four that was born while I have been here ♥ there is a link in that thread with photos from that day

Well, besides all this excitement...things with Traci are not good at all. She is in very bad shape. It just breaks my heart, and it's so hard to keep the kids from being so upset and sad about her not seeing them again. I just came from spending and hour and half with their therapist on how to deal with this, and other issues. We are going to tell them that they can't see her anymore, until she does something to really help herself this time. Not just stop using, but complete rehab and counsiling to change her life.

Well ladies.....I am headed to the basement...there is a mountain of laundry that I wish would erupt into lava and burn up...because I know it's not washing itself!!! :suspicious:
Hope you all have a fab day!!! LOTS OF LOVE!!

waving a quick HI!!! again!! :) I'll pop in when I've got more time! I need to get back on the scrapping bandwagon!!! eeeeeeeeeeeep!!!!

love you all!!
