The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Bear with me today. I woke up thinking it was Friday. I no longer know what season it is cuz it sure doesn't feel like summer. It was 46° at 6 am.

I'm here a little later than usual because I had to spend way too much time trying to schedule my Covid and Flu vaccines while you still can. Leadership at the CDC is basically collapsing. I had to try three different places to schedule the vaccinations - just to get one that has the updated formula available. Then more time to figure out what day I have a car and that I don't have work the day or so after. I almost cancelled the appointment because CVS has Moderna, which is the one I swore last year I was gonna avoid. I react very badly to that one. But better to get one than none at this point. My insurance *should* still cover it since one of the approved conditions is Depression. Heck, they have been covering my Zoloft Rx for decades. I think that should qualify. :rotfl:

Notice that I said "figure out what day I have a car" because after talking to my mom yesterday, I have no idea if my dad is actually ready to give me the car/if he changed his mind/needs more time, or if he hasn't told her yet.
Tom's car is going back in the shop for a few days, Sept 8 to ??, so Cait will need my car again. This is just too much confusion for me to handle. Ahhhhh!!!

I have two other appts I'd need to make but I won't be able to do that today since I have no idea when any of it will work.

Scott is coming for dinner tonight, even though Cait won't be. I defrosted chicken cutlets and now I have to figure out what to actually *do* with them. Can't feed them raw.

:hug4:

I have done 9 CP Layouts but have my eye on a couple more that I would love to work with. :yesss: dance3
Of course you do! LOL!!
So sorry to hear that your shoulder is acting up, the fluctuations in the weather seem to make things worse.
I think the shorter days are "activating" the wildlife. I have been hearing the foxes every night this week. Do you get bears in your area or is this unusual?
Good luck with the vaccine appts when you make them. I know I am a little on the early side- I usually go later in Sept so I am covered farther into the winter, but I am not about to take any chances with availability or insurance coverage.

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out to an eye exam soon. I'm trying a new glaucoma clinic today. It's in a mall I've never seen so it'll be fun to wander around the mall for a bit as my eyes adjust back to normal so I can drive home. The parking will be free since its at a mall which is better than the last place b/c they charged $7 to park. I'd rather use that money to buy myself a coffee :)
How did you like the new clinic? And how are your eyes doing? Hopefully no major changes, especially after the BP spike last week :praying2: Win-win to have the location at the mall where you can shop and park for free :)

Did I ever tell you all about my son and his corn plant? We have dried corn we grind ourselves for cornmeal and corn flour. Hubs was grinding and saw a blue corn kernel. He gave it to my DS3 who can grow anything and told him to plant it and see what happens. Now, its in the house cause outside it too cool for corn and we dont have a greenhouse. Well, that stinker grew it!!! Its not moving as fast as my MN man is use to but look at this plant!!!
Who are you calling crazy? At least I don't have a corn plant in my house! Bwuhahaha!
Is this DS the same one who is growing apple trees from seeds? Please tell me he wants to be a botanist or work in the ag industry!
Poor baby girl at the vet, how did the check on the tumor go? I remember going through that just last month with Jaida's leg so all of my fingers and toes are crossed it is an easy fix.
BTW- I thought you were gonna take it easy yesterday?

You need to let those tears flow more frequently, perhaps?! :heartpumplove:
I know it. I do. But I can't seem to.
How many CPs did you do in total? Did I read it right and you did 10??? :bowdown3:

Its just huge and funny they got it to grow.
Did I ever tell you about the avocado plant I grew from the pit with one of my PreK classes? It was HUGE!! I wish I had pictures of it.
That's too bad that the corn isn't sweet corn but either way, what an exciting project to work on.

Quick in and out,
Heading to get Mark and go to lunch.
Been mopping floors, posting LOs, etc today. Time for a break! ;)

Good Morning!

Yep, crazy. Its me. I'm the crazy one. Yes, this is the same son who grew apple trees from seeds. Sorry to say, he wants to be a computer graphic animator right now. He did always want to move to TX and have a farm but he's unable to do the manual labor so he's adjusting his dreams.

The vet thinks the spot is a ruptured cyst. He only ever saw a photo. They never called me back and I was annoyed. Almost went to a new vet but I really like the vet, it was the receptionist who I think blew me off. Well, sent photo to vet and he said it will need surgery. He asked us to squeeze and see what comes out. Nothing. Its rock hard. I fear it isn't as simple as he thinks. It was the size of a pencil eraser and now its the size of a quarter. Who knows but she's scheduled for surgery. It doesn't seem to bother her so that is the good news.

I did take it mostly easy yesterday. I hate grocery orders and pickups. I wanna do it myself and choose what I want when something is out of stock but I did pickup yesterday since I was waiting hear from the vet. I got the mail. Took kiddo to a church meeting and while there put fridge stuff away that I got at Costco. Was mostly a laid back slow day. Today should be slower, I have have 20 lbs of onion to cut up and freeze. Oh yeah me! :giggle4: Have a wonderful day!

@AK_Tracy sounds like you will be crying this afternoon with all those onions.
I had to chuckle at your son growing things from seeds..our son does it all the time.Look what Johnny Appleseed did with his seeds..LOL Mike grows an big garden and saves seeds, when we were up there we had a discussion about saving seeds. When we were in VA we went to a museum and the lady there was harvesting radish seeds from original old plants so I got some for my son. He will be able to grow some vintage radishes.
I hope that is nothing serious with the dog but the fact that it doesn't bother it sounds like good news to me.

@faerywings. Well Chris you are always so funny with your daily things to do and then the next day what you really did. LOL.
I grew an avocado from pit too..planted it outside (FLA) it's doing ok about 5 feet tall now. I have a bag of sunflower seeds from our son's house that I will plant when we are home. I also got some HollyHock seeds from the lady in VA museum that I will plant.
So hard for your Dad to give up the car, I can only imagine the mixed feelings but at least he is thinking of it.
I hope your car situation works out it's a pain to have to juggle cars and rides.

Yesterday we left Georgia after replacing a tire on the trailer at least it wasn't on the side of the road...We bought them all new in April but it got a screw in it so on went the spare. Not sure if it can be repaired...trailer tires are different so a shop might not want to do it...our son's shop makes the call after they remove the screw (I wished I was near his shop). We we got to our last site for this trip later in the afternoon. I did some clean up and made dinner, trying to empty the refrigerator but we did try the sausage that we got at Carroll's Sausage store--yummy.
Today I wiped off the outside of the trailer to get some of the dirt off it, I washed the windows inside and out. I defrosted the freezer so it will be less mess tomorrow when it goes to the storage lot. I packed up most of my clothes and everything stored under the bed. When the slide is in we do not have access to the forward cabin so I need to empty that area. I will strip the bed so I can wash everything when we get up in the morning. I packed up some miscellaneous stuff and then sat to read a little. We will empty the food and bathroom stuff once we are at the house.
We took a ride around Steinhatchee and they are still fixing things from the hurricanes. There was a lot damage but they are hardy people so are fixing up. We are going to dinner tonight so may get some more information.
Well off to pack some more clothes, I'm looking forward to a relaxing seafood dinner tonight.

I am feeling very lazy after reading all that so many of you are doing.

Chilly enough this morning that I regretted I didn't have my windbreaker on my bike ride. But it was nice by the end, bright sun. I haven't had the air conditioner on this week, it's been cool and dry. Most of my friends look at me quizzically because they never turn theirs off until it's time to turn on the heat, but I love the cool air flowing through the house, especially at night.

I have about 10 downloads from the Oscraps store that I need to unzip and catalog. I'm afraid to do the unzip and start using them without going through the whole process because I'm likely to never get around to the cataloging part and then they just disappear into the depths of the external drive, never to be remembered again.

I discovered a show on PBS called View Finder. There are these two photographers who visit various parks and natural places to take pictures, and talk about what they're seeing and how they will photograph it. I've been enjoying it a lot -- there are past episodes on YouTube. I have a delusion that I will learn something about how to take better photos, but I never remember all these things I'm supposed to think about when the time comes.

We have our monthly Trails Crew meeting at a local brewery this evening. Sometimes there's a food truck there, but they aren't consistent about putting them in their calendar, so I never know if we'll be able to get dinner there or not. If we're hungry we get through the meeting faster though.

Well, hubs decided to brew beer and so the onions have waited. I have become one with the couch and the dog has become one with my feet :giggle4: My son cracks me up. He grows so much stuff from seed. He just wanders out of the house and I need know why. Did he finish an apple and is planting the seeds? Is he checking the raspberries? Is he driving off to who knows where LOL He's not a great communicator but he's a great grower. The vintage seeds sound fun for your son to grow.
We we got to our last site for this trip
Seems like just yesterday you were planning the trip. Enjoy the last camp site of the summer.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: You crack me up. I feel the same way though. If I dont take care of them right away they just sit forever. but the description of the depths of the external drive :floorlaugh::giggle4::floorlaugh: Never to be remembered :floorlaugh: 100% accurate

Well, I didn't make it in here today like I thought I would.
When we got back from lunch I got busy and made 2 batches of chicken salad. One had the grapes and pecans, celery and mayo in it (for me and it was delish!) and the other one just had onions and pickle relish and mayo for Mark.
I got a BLT for lunch but only ate half, so I finished the other half around 2. Didn't have to worry about fixing supper 'cause that's what the chicken salad was for!
Made out the month-end salary checks and the first-of-the-month missionary checks for church and got them in the mail.
Then it was time for Mark to come home. He cut the grass. Then we did our devotions while he cooled off a bit and then took his shower. Then we watched TV before his bedtime.
That's it for me. No scrapping done today!
