Happy, Happy Thursday!

I wish I could tell you what kind of day I had yesterday. All I remember is working and getting very frustrated with a scrap page. Lots of little things in between, such as Gary fixing my leaking toilet and then the one in the main bath breaking. He has that one rigged up until he can get the parts. I tend to disagree with the business models of big box stores but for people who are mostly housebound, Amazon Prime is the best thing to ever be created. The parts for the BR bath came in one day and the other should be here in two.

Caitlyn and Brendan went on a date to an Escape Room. if you haven't heard of them, you get locked into a room with clues and puzzles and you have a set time to escape from it. They escaped in literally a second before the time ran out. Sounds like a lot of fun!

And in other"weird date news," Scott, Leah and another couple went to this pizzeria that is known for its pizzas that have anything and everything crammed into it. The pizza they ordered had cheese, penne and vodka, mozzarella sticks on one side and cheeseburgers and french fries on the other. Insane!

I am off to meet my BFF for coffee this morning. I can't remember if I mentioned but her mom was in the hospital for a week and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They finally found a torn tendon in her pelvis and then she had an infection. She was moved to a rehab center last night. I have only seen my BFF once this summer at that was at her dad's funeral which doesn't count. I am expecting this is going to be a long visit since she has had so much going on.

Positive and happy thoughts all coming your way~~~~~~~~

Trudy- just reading your posts makes me realize that you are right, you are never home! But at least it is time filled with family and fun.
It took me much longer to find the products I wanted to use for my Trad. Lo than to scrap it. And the other one, Shape Shifter-- I thought that would be the easier one. But I am not liking it at all. Maybe it is just my head being messy inside. Or maybe I am trying to hard? :noidea:
Are you going to be able to stay at home today? Hope you get some down time, even for a bit.

Rae- ooooh! I LOVE Rosewood! Yes, it is expensive but so luscious with its rich base notes and isn't harsh like cedarwood. You don't need a lot of it in your blends. Enjoy!!! Geranium rose is another EO that is good for cell regeneration and it smells amazing as well.

Jean- the music gig sounds like it was a fun time for everyone. How nice to see the group grow- the more the merrier. :)
*sigh* I am not feeling in awe at all for doing these MoS challenges today. I am feeling exasperated and frustrated. But I have done 5 out of the 8 LOs and am going to keep plugging along. I have to look at it as a way to look through my stash and find ways of putting things together in a way I might not usually do. I want to give up, but I am too damn stubborn!

Nancy- hope you have a great trip!

Morning ladies... it has cooled off quite a bit here this morning, but still nice and sunny, you can feel it in the air that summer is coming to an end. I am staying home today, except for running out to get a few groceries and watering the plants in the backyard. I am halfway done on my traditionalist challenge for MOS, so hopefully I will get that one finished today and perhaps the next one too. DH took tomorrow off of work so that he can get some painting done on the outside of the house. He will have two, three day weekends as next weekend is Labor Day weekend, yikes summer really is coming to an end :gaah: I miss summer already and its not even over yet!! LOL Had a lovely time with MIL and SIL yesterday, I stopped and picked up flowers and SIL stopped and got a cake on her way to meet me. Then we drove up together to the Lake. On the way we came across 5 huge elk standing on the side of the road and the male was ginormous !! Wish I could have stopped and snapped a photo or two, but they kind of startled us when we drove by them, so we just kept going. They are not usually near the road at that time of day and you are always on the look out for them when you are travelling near dusk, but not during the day!

Chris - You must have been busy to feel like your day passed by as a blur!! Sorry to hear that you have two broken toilets!! Yes Amazon is fabulous, they seem to sell everything and are very, very fast with delivery!! I hope that you have a good visit with your BFF, she will have lots to share with you and I know that you will be a great listener or shoulder to cry on if need be! Give her a hug from all of us, she has been through a lot! I hope that her Mother is on the mend and feeling much better now!

Rae - The Rosewood sounds like it will heavenly! I will have to look into these essential oils, it would be a wonderful thing to have for those winter months when we are stuck inside all the time! Hope Taz had a great time at doggy day care!! When we were on our hike with the kids to Nymph Falls, Storm (son's dog) was in heaven as they are allowed off leash there, she was having so much fun running around with a few of the other dogs that were there. She is so cute and would crouch down and hide from them and spring out of the bush as if to say SURPRISE!! It gave us all a good laugh!! Hope that your work day goes well. I saw your entry for the traditionalist challenge at MOS, it is a stunner!! Love it so much!

Jean - Nice to hear that the group is growing and that you enjoyed a good visit with the other retired programmer! Not sure what a COBOL programmer does though :becky: Yes I have been busy lately, but looking forward to some at home time by myself today! Hope your day is a good one too!

:hello: Nancy, where ever you are!

I should get showered and dressed and get a list of things I need at the grocery store. Not buying much as I will make another trip either tomorrow or Saturday to really stock up, the fridge is almost empty, but payday is not until tomorrow. Looking forward to a FaceTime with DD and Hunter today, tomorrow Mason will be home so hopefully DH and I will both get to see him then. Have a great Thursday everyone!! I hope you do something fun today!

Good morning, ladies. Beckham is coming in a few hours and will be with us until late tomorrow morning. I'm super swamped with work but he'll be happy to just lay beside my chair and go outside with me for a few minutes here and there. I'm glad I got both of my MOS pages done yesterday as I'd be too busy the rest of the week to try to fit them in. It's been fun so far and I love seeing what everyone creates.

Chris - enjoy visiting with your BFF today. Yes, I agree, AP is a godsend when you need something fast. I'm looking forward to putting some rosewood in my face oil and will look for the geranium rose too.

Trudy - enjoy your day at home and facetime with the family.

I'd better get to work. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Good afternoon! Cooled off a lot here too and cloudy. Nothing much planned until Saturday when I'm meeting with another genealogist with whom I'm working on a project for the historical society. That will be good.

Chris, don't most days pass in a blur? Oh, guess that's just me. Know you'll lend an ear, shoulder, whatever for your BFF. As Trudy said, hope you gave her a big hug from us all.

Trudy, hope you really get some down time today as you'll be getting less when MG has 3-day weekends. Funny how you're missing what I recall you described as hot, dry, smoky summer days. But I know what you mean. Kids here are back in school and last night learned the hostess at that restaurant is leaving soon for college, the last of her friends to be off.

Rae, just wishing you a good day to get all that work done. It'll be nice for you to have Beckham with you during it.

Hi to all.
