Yay! It finally rained! It started yesterday afternoon, and it has been raining on and off overnight. My poor droopy plants will be happier, although I don't know if there is any hope for my lawn. The irony of the timing was kind of crappy. It doesn't rain for a month, and the one day it does is the day that my friend is moving everything from one house to another. The universe waited for almost everything to be out of the old yucky house before it started. Just in time for the movers to be dragging it all into her shiny, clean house.
It was tough watching them leave but it is what it is. Today I am running over to take down all of the bird feeders. They can't have feeders at their condo, so Brett is gifting all of them to me. He wants to make sure his birds are cared for, so that is what I will do.
My "big" project yesterday was creating an essential oil blend that we can use at Weis when we start the retreats. I pulled out some bottles and made three variations, using different combinations of fir needle, rosemary, and lavender, plus a few other EOs. One blend needs tweaking, too much lemongrass. I'll bring them in tomorrow when we have the retreat planning meeting and get some feedback.
My mom is coming here today and we'll go out to lunch. I guess I should talk to her about my dad and driving. I tried to bring it up yesterday on the phone and it didn't go anywhere. She kept changing the subject and talking about things he did months ago.
I get it. My brain is still struggling to keep up with all of the things I need to focus on and my success rate is evidently *not* a success. haha!
I should also look at the plans for the next Merit Bade I am helping with on Sunday. I forgot that I was doing that until I looked at my calendar right now.
Like I said, my brain is struggling.
On the bright side, I didn't have any crazy dreams last night, which was the first time in over a week.
Wishing all of you a non-crazy-brain day!
