Whoops!! I apologize for screwing up the date yesterday. Sorry for giving you all a heart attack for a second. You would think that I should have gotten the date correct seeing that I had an appt for the first time in forever.
What a day I had yesterday.
Started out anxious for having to leave the house, put on "real clothes" and a touch of makeup. Off to a Dr that was new in a place that was new. But that was ok, until the road that I needed to use was closed b/c of an accident. My town is terrible about putting up detour signs and I had only been on the detour road once before, many years ago. I have no idea where I am going, my Google maps doesn't "talk" to me no matter what settings I have. I am trying to keep an eye on the map while driving through these windy country roads. The new route detoured me out 7 miles! Appt was fine, the NP was very funny which is a plus. The road was still closed on my way home but this time I knew that if I kept following the lake on my right, I would eventually get towards home. I spent more time driving aimlessly around than I did at the Drs.
To make my day better, I found out what it would feel like if I got hit in the head with a 60lb bag of bricks. :brick:
I was sitting on Cait's floor, helping her navigate the health insurance website. Jaida was on the bed when she bolted off and bounced off of the back of my neck and shoulders. Ooooo-eee. I saw stars. Tipped right on over. Caitlyn kept checking me for a bruise but it was more like whiplash. I ended up having to take 2 Aleve and I am still sore. The dog is *solid.*
Today, I have absolutely nothing planned. Maybe some yardwork. That would be better than housework. I woke up (at 5.30!! Yay!!!) stressing over dinner. I was going to make broccoli rabe garlic pasta but I don't have any GF pasta for Gary. *ponders*
gratitudes:
-Gary fixed my ACDSee issue!!
-last night's dinner was delish!
-it shouldn't get too hot today so it is a good day to do yard work.
-We found out that we get vision coverage in our health insurance pan which is something brand new -maybe since January- and I wish I knew about it back then, but I am thrilled that we have it now!! :whoo: It covers one visit per year, plus $100 toward frames or contacts.So. Darn. Exciting!!!
Make your day a fabulous one --you deserve it!!
