Good morning, my dear Ooos! It looks like it is going to be a really nice day today and I am ready to get out in the yard and do some cleanup. I was feeling back to normal yesterday which was good because I had a busy day. I was out the door a bit later than I wanted to get to the dentist but I made it to the appt on time. I forgot that when I wrote in my planner 9.15 am that the *appt* was 9.30 but I needed to be there 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork. Even though I got there "late" I still was "on time."
Good news, no cavities!
Gary got home before me and Scott soon after. Gary seems to be doing pretty OK. he was tired and achy but nothing much worse than what he is used to dealing with. Scott had a rough night. I poked my head in when I brought Caitlyn her coffee earlier and he said he was better than he was last night so maybe the worst is over for him too. He had chills and nausea but I think that was it.
Right after lunch, I was back out the door to meet my cousin. It was strange driving to her house without the kids in the backseat. I was so nervous when I pulled up but guess how long I stayed?
An hour?
Maybe 90 minutes or so?
So what is your guess?
Three hours. Three.
OMG, I had no idea how late it was (the only reason that I left when I did was that she had to take her DD to a dr appt!!). I texted Gary that I was on my way home, and when I noticed the time, I think my jaw dropped through the floor. We are cousins on my mom's side and we had a typical family conversation- or 300 of them. hahaha!!! We would talk about one thing, go off on a tangent or two or ten, circle back, start back over. It was like we never stopped talking all of those years ago. As I was driving home, I realized how much I *missed* her. We definitely want to do it again. Her DD wants to see Caitlyn too. Our kids were so young that they can't really remember each other but it should be neat to have them meet up. Worst case scenario is that they talk about dogs. My cousin had three- also foster fail! Runs in the blood
I am going to do quick personals and sign off so I can do some housework before I need to get outside. (need to- I *need* to get outside!! Dirt therapy here I come!)
HAGD!
