Good morning, my dear Ooos! It looks like it is going to be a really nice day today and I am ready to get out in the yard and do some cleanup. I was feeling back to normal yesterday which was good because I had a busy day. I was out the door a bit later than I wanted to get to the dentist but I made it to the appt on time. I forgot that when I wrote in my planner 9.15 am that the *appt* was 9.30 but I needed to be there 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork. Even though I got there "late" I still was "on time." :D
Good news, no cavities!

Gary got home before me and Scott soon after. Gary seems to be doing pretty OK. he was tired and achy but nothing much worse than what he is used to dealing with. Scott had a rough night. I poked my head in when I brought Caitlyn her coffee earlier and he said he was better than he was last night so maybe the worst is over for him too. He had chills and nausea but I think that was it.
Right after lunch, I was back out the door to meet my cousin. It was strange driving to her house without the kids in the backseat. :D I was so nervous when I pulled up but guess how long I stayed?

An hour?
Maybe 90 minutes or so?

So what is your guess?

Three hours. Three.

OMG, I had no idea how late it was (the only reason that I left when I did was that she had to take her DD to a dr appt!!). I texted Gary that I was on my way home, and when I noticed the time, I think my jaw dropped through the floor. We are cousins on my mom's side and we had a typical family conversation- or 300 of them. hahaha!!! We would talk about one thing, go off on a tangent or two or ten, circle back, start back over. It was like we never stopped talking all of those years ago. As I was driving home, I realized how much I *missed* her. We definitely want to do it again. Her DD wants to see Caitlyn too. Our kids were so young that they can't really remember each other but it should be neat to have them meet up. Worst case scenario is that they talk about dogs. My cousin had three- also foster fail! Runs in the blood :D

I am going to do quick personals and sign off so I can do some housework before I need to get outside. (need to- I *need* to get outside!! Dirt therapy here I come!)

HAGD!

@taxed4ever I am so happy that the morning swim time is a good one for you. The other woman was smart to move into her own lane when she could. Oh booooooo! So sorry to hear that Mason's school is going remote again. :( Is there any way she could afford to have a mother's helper come in for an hour or so? DO they even do that kind of thing anymore? Probably not.
My cousin's DD is really sick and she started to see the LLMD that Gary and I go to. It is so hard to see your kids sick-- as you know all too well. That is great to hear that your MIL is using the walker. It has to be so worth it to be able to enjoy the fresh air but why are they all so stubborn? :D

@Cherylndesigns the wheels will look so amazing up on the peak!! Look forward to seeing the pics as it all progresses.
Exotic cocktails sound very good!! What did they make you?

@felis I am so happy that you are back working and I hope you don't end up in another lockdown. I know you like snow, but this is ridiculous. Are the cats enjoying the snow or are they done with it too? I hope that you are feeling better too

Hugs to all of you wonderful ladies!

Best day ever.

To begin with, I have had no real symptoms from the vaccine and it feels so fantastic to be through that. I have the kids registered and should be getting their vaccines soon. Then the entire family will be vaccinated and ready for adventure. Ok…adventure with masks and social distancing in the mix, but still adventure.

And, the big news, the new Publix is open. Instead of a 15 minute drive to get to milk and bread, I now have a huge beautiful grocery store less than 5 minutes from me. It’s an easy walk too. I’m like a little kid. Brian, Shaun and I were all there when they opened the doors. What will happen if I don’t have a reason to complain about grocery shopping any longer?

Be back to do personals in a bit.

Good morning everyone! It is a gorgeous sunny day, but it is still very chilly out there! Fresh snow on the far mountains, but hopefully it will warm up nicely this afternoon. I had a great day to myself yesterday and actually got a layout scrapped for the Copy Cat Challenge. I did not get my bathrooms cleaned yesterday like I had planned on doing, but oh well they are not that bad and I might just leave them until the weekend. Procrastination seems to be my middle name lately LOL. I did have a lovely face time chat with just Mason yesterday, he took me out to the backyard and we sat on the trampoline and chatted it up for quite a while. He is missing his friends, but also very apprehensive about having to wear a mask at school all day, he does not like it one little bit. Poor kids, it seems like Covid is causing a lot of anxiety for them! He told me that his teacher is calling him today, she just wants to talk to him and see how he is doing. Nice! Anyway the rest of my day was spent putting in a Norwex order and talking with my Brother and his wife. They had some big news, that I am not really able to repeat, it did upset me quite a bit, but then again made me happy for them! I will let you all know when I am able. Today I have my laps to do and other than that I need to make an envelope for the Anniversary Card I made for my sister and her hubby. They will be married 50 years on the 10th! I need to get something special for them, but not sure just what yet. Any suggestions?? Also have to put in my grocery order so I can pick that up tomorrow.

@faerywings - Sounds like everyone is getting back to normal in your household! I am so happy for you that you will be out in the fresh air and sunshine and digging in the dirt!! Hooray! Wow three hours with your cousin! You must have consumed a lot of coffee in that time! How wonderful that you have re-connected with her! I feel badly for her daughter though and sure hope that your Dr. will be able to make her feel better quickly! Dam Lyme Disease!!! As for Heather being able to get help? Well they don't have the money for one thing and I don't think that there is anyone who would be able to come out to her little town, especially with Covid numbers so bad in Ontario right now. She will manage I am sure, but it will be stressful for her! I feel guilty not being able to help her more, but there will be no travel for us until we are fully vaccinated and she understands that!

@LSlycord - So glad that you had no ill effects from you second vaccine shot! That is wonderful! A bit of a sore arm is something that we can all put up with for a few days, but the other symptoms.... Yuck! It will be great when the rest of the family is fully vaccinated and you can get out to do some exploring! Great news that you now have a decent place to get your groceries!! Nice that it is so close to you!

@Cherylndesigns - I love, love your wagon wheel idea! It will look amazing I am sure! Guess you will be busy staining the rest of your shutters for a few days, hopefully the wind dies down so you can do it without having bits and pieces landing in your stain!

@felis - I am so happy for you that you are back to work and will keep my fingers crossed that you don't get shut down yet again! Yes we are still having fresh snow on the mountain tops around here, but it quickly melts when the sun comes out. It is a very chilly spring for us this year and everything is blooming much later than usual. So gardening is on hold for us also!

Well I better get my bag packed for swimming and should be getting a face time call soon from Heather and the boys, so off I go. Have a great day everyone!

Hello my lovely-ooooo's. I'm coming in on the "second shift" as usual. LOL

Chris, @faerywings that's so awesome that you reconnected with your cousin. 3 hours??? WOW! My family used to all be so close then people started moving away. As long as my parents were alive and my uncle, it seems to be the glue that kept us all together periodically. Now, there's not much glue. I'm not one to "stay in touch" via Facebook, either. If you want to talk to me, you know my number - nobody calls anymore, but their fingers aren't broken. (Climbs back down off soapbox. )

That darned Lyme's Disease must be horrible!! I have not known anybody else who had it. It seems to be at the bottom of all yours and Gary's problems. I sadly still don't know much, just what I pick up on here.

Trudy @taxed4ever and Chris @faerywings I can't wait to get my wheels done. I'm so excited! I don't think I told you all but I temporarily decided to use my "gears" which are flywheels, BTW - according to hubby - as stepping stones. Now, I'm going to be on the lookout for some more. I need at least 2 more.

Tomorrow is "stain the shutters day" - Trudy, I hope the wind does die down or we won't be able to work.

Adrienne and I walked today. She's decided she wants to start walking with me. This is only the 2nd day she's been able to. She works from home and is busy. Actually, I walked twice. Once with Daisy and again with Adrienne.

Chris - @faerywings Ava brought over a couple different flavored whiskeys and added ice cream, chocolate, peanut butter and milk in the blender. I didn't imbibe because whiskey doesn't like me. They sure looked pretty though. Oh, peanut butter and chocolate don't agree with me either. They're coming back tonight for another round. Hahaha I just sit and sip on a glass of white wine. They love all of these exotic flavored whiskeys.

Linda @LSlycord congratulations on the brand new Publix!!! They are the most gorgeous grocery stores I've ever been in!! You can just spend the whole day in there (well, maybe not the whole day). Does your new one have a Starbuck's in it? I don't even want to tell you how puny our "big supermarket" here is. LOL They do have good stuff though, so I can't complain. We have a Super Walmart too that they're remodeling. WooHoo! I DO miss my Publix!

Felis @felis good news about your job. I hope and pray that this is on the upswing. It's about darned time, isn't it? @taxed4ever Trudy, that stinks that the kids are going back to homeschool. Florida is all back in class. Of course, so many people have been terribly hard on Governor DeSantis but I think he did the right things from the start!!

Talk to you all later. I'm going to do a couple of chores before the gang drops in.

My lOvelies!
I'm back here! Lots of good news this morning! I'm won from the birthday party prize for my favorite designers, I'm soo happy! As I'm told you before I don't do all days, because I'm not good shopper, so don't deserve one of the big prizes, but I'm so happy and satisfied from what I got!!!
Starting with so good mood the whole day was successful! My internet was repaired for less than 10 minutes, wow, it's really so easy, only the procedure was unnecessarily complicated.
Now I'll going to clean, and maybe even to start uncover the roses, hope that we are end with the snow!

OK, I'm missed this, did Nancy is told why not post these days?

Chris, I'm so proud of you and your nice long time with the cousin! Yes, cat is already bored from the snow, especially after they start to change their fur and waiting for sunbathing!

Linda, it's wonderful to have nice shop so close!

Trudy, oh Congratulations for your brother's expecting baby! These quarantine babies are everywhere!
Procrastination seems to be seasonal trend! Don't worry! But I hope that this will gone soon! Poor Mason, this will be one strange generation, low quality of education (at least here) and high level of anxiety! My mom work at children day care and yesterday catch the kids to shared gossips about their sick teacher. They was tried to prevent them for this fear, but one mother told to her daughter and she told everybody in much darker side than the situation actually is.

Cheryl, yummy these whiskey cocktails sounds lovely to me! I don't drink a lot, but love whiskey and cocktails!
Can you imagine that I wasn't familiar with the Lyme's Disease before O and Chris, and I was work with street and homeless animals and lots of ticks. Such a madness! It's totally different than the disease form here which is cured with 2 courses of antibiotics! Chris is educated me a lot about that. She was shared excellent material here when Justin Bieber catch it too!
