2 crazy days down, 2 more to go!
I was hoping to have a relaxing weekend, since we have back to back and long drs appts on Mon and Tues, but the kids are going to need me instead. I have no problem with that, but I will be drinking lots of coffee!

There is going to be about 10 kids here to work on the fundraiser. They have some great ideas already. I was emailing with my friend. Her son is good friends w/ Scott and I knew he was having a tough time with Eric's death, so I wanted to check in.
When she wrote back-- all of a sudden it clicked- I know the family. My friend, Peggy, used to run a after school activity group, and her BFF and younger son attended. Peggy's youngest has been friends with the younger son since they were 3, Peggy and the mom have been BFFs since the same time. I would see them all of the time at Peggy's. Its been years, but I remember how much I liked the mom- she was very funny ans sweet.

it shouldn't make a difference, I still don't know the boy, but it just makes it harder being able to put faces to the names.

Thanks again for listening- I should leave a co-pay for you since y'all are my therapist now :)

I have read LandoverBaptist before, but have forgotten about them, they were funny. Do you read/listen to the Onion? Same kind of satire and humor but more political.

But the good/rotten mom news is that she won't be able to go to All-District Band tonight. Its a cool thing- they have all of the elem. school, middle school and HS bands playing, the HS Pipes and Drums play, all of the choirs sing... its a great night, but long and noisy. I get sound sensitivities from Lyme and its like too much overload so its a tough time for me even though I enjoy it.

I am sitting here watching the news this morning and can not believe how the people in this country act!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really upsets me and PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you all hear about the Giants fan that got brutally beaten by Dodger fans???? REALLY?????? I will be the first to admit that a little friendly "smack talk" about your rivals in sports is part of being a loyal fan....but how does enjoying sports turn to such violence????? This man is in the hospital in critical condition!!!!!!

Well.....as you can tell...my morning was off to a crappy start!!!! Not just the news but other things as well!!!! I am going to fix me a cup of coffee in minute and I have some laundry to put away.....then I am going to the shop and find something I am just dying to scrap with and have a little therapy.....if the kids will let me!!! I don't really know how I would cope with all the crap if I didn't have an outlet!!!!


Well.....Savannah is now talking up a storm!!! She really was before but you just didn't understand any of it!! But this past week or two the words are flowing like crazy...she is repeating EVERYTHING you say....I was a bit frustrated with her before, because when she wanted something she would point and make that horrid "uuuuuuhhhnnnnnn" noise....none of the other kids ever did that....and we tried and tried to work with her....well...NO MORE.....she wants her cup...she goes to the fridge and screams to the top of her lungs "I WANT MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILK NA NA" Guess you have to be careful what you wish for!! HAHAHA!!!!

Well.....looks like Government is shutting down tomorrow night if there are no agreements today..........................this is not good. That means a lot of things, but it will mean Sharon will be out of work until they call them back. ~sigh~ always more to worry over!!

Some good news.....we are going on a short get away the end of the month. Just for two days...but that is better than NONE!!! Then we are planning our Trip with Cameran and Jesse in June....we are taking them to DOLLYWOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!! We took Cameran two years ago...and he is super excited!!!! Jesse doesn't know what it is yet...but he will love it!!! And if possible...Mike and I will go to the beach in August....we haven't decided for sure on that...if not...we will go somewhere closer for a few days.

Okay...going to get my coffee...get the kiddos settled, they will be here in just a few minutes and then I am going to do some MUCH DELAYED PERSONALS FOR MY O FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be back in a few!!
 
Prayers and Hugs Chris and Nana- I try not to watch the news too much- puts me in a bad news and for what good news they do share- you have to muddle through the crap. Wouldn't bother me so much if most of it was truly news but there is such a slant to the news that I am never sure if it is news, hype or helping one political party or another. I am cleaning, scrapping going to get out to my garden and preparing for 2 1/2 days away for a conference on vestibular system function/dysfunction and the pediatric population - and pittsburgh O's here??
 
Morning all you lovely ladies!! Sunny and cold here today, frost on the roof tops brrrr!!! I want me some warm weather!! Another full work day today, sure hope I can get back to my so called part-time hrs soon!

Chris - Sounds like you and kids are going to be very busy this weekend! Good luck with all of your fundraising projects!!

Nana Linda - Too cute on your little Savannah talking up a storm, the flood gates have opened now and there will be no stopping her, she will talk your ears off LOL!! So sad that grown people act the way they do over sports??? I thought that it was bad with hockey and that they have to :ban: parents from their kids hockey games, because they don't know how to act like grown ups!! It is very fustrating to listen to the news, and sometimes you wonder if half of it isn't made up. We listen to what they say about things that happen in our small city and wonder where they come up with the stories, because my husband is RCMP and knows what really goes on with the crime stories. Then people bad mouth the cops because of some made up story that the press tells everyone. :frusty:
Ohh I better stop talking now or I will just get MADDDDD!!

Ughhh yeah... I'm ignoring the news for the most part. It's a stupid power struggle... they just need to lay 'em on the table and measure already!!!!! Opps, that was vulgar...

I'm waking up right now and thinking about what should get done today. I just keep thinking I want to go back to sleep.
 
So - I have enjoyed scrapping- finally listened to the messages on my answering machine and realized I booked out hilton head vacation for this weekend, not the first weekend in May- ummmmmmmmm- so I called Marriott and we can change, but not for the same resort- so much for cheap golf, but hurray for a husband who was very understanding when I shared my calendar dyslexia- looks like we will be on the ocean- I love the sound of waves.
 
so we were going to go here but instead will be going here Less golf, but we will have an ocean view and have choice of beach or pools and plan to see Charlotte and Savannah, so I think we will find plenty to do, along with relaxing!
